Brocky was drafted into the army the year I was born & spent his training time at Kapooka in my home town of Wagga. He bought his first race car (A30) from Sturt auto wreckers in the same town. I wandered the same wrecking yard in the early eighties scrounging bits for my 253. He was a champion of the people & I looked up to him for 25 years.
