Yes...it is basically "Envelope Amount" or Env Amount. It controls the amount of Attack, Sustain, Decay, Release applied to the filter cutoff or amplitube. I hope that helps.
hey Analogger i just want to say to ignore those guys that give negative feedback on your music. Your music sounds really awesome and your really hilarious. So keep making videos!
Hey dude, thanks for the nice words. I hope that some of my nonsense will inspire others to possibly try new things. Luckily I kept this vid around 2 min - I admit it's pretty hideous sounding - you should have heard it in my studio - deafening! The only thing that sounds more hideous is some hapless middle aged fuck who thinks he can play "da blooze." Jesus, I'm getting faint just thinking of it.
My guess is different Minimoog production runs will give a different result. FWIW, I've tried this with the Voyager with great results, similar to this.
And to the poster calling it noise, I agree absolutely! Best kind of noise is the kind that makes your booty shake!
Yo, homie! I am running the mono out from the drum machine into the Moog's external audio input. There is no sound until I hit a key to open up the VCF and VCA.
Yeah, I just tried it from my 606 into my MFB-Synth 2. The results are much subtler. I think your MiniMoog really gives you more powerful overdrive for that kinda thing. ;)
It's wonderful but I don't understand what's happening or how!! Can the moogerfrooger filter pedal do something similar or is the oscillator doing some of the work?
Yes, you can get very similar results with the Moogerfooger Lowpass filter. The input led will turn a bright red when it is overdriven which gives you a nasty distortion.
Cool video I love how at 0:38 it's you've got this PRODIGY kinda vibe going!?!? Although we know that THE PRODIGY is named after the MOOG Prodigy ; ) I really enjoyed this very nice indeed..indeed!
I have had a couple other people say the same thing - actually I wouldn't really know where to begin. I did have a CD on Amazon for awhile - went nowhere!
you have to be able to bring out the parts of both the synth and the drum rhythm that sound coolest while distorted without letting them overlap and distract from eachother... Try it for yourself and you'll see what I mean, and of course i demand proof that you were able to do better and will expect you to upload a video of your superior distorted drum loop video
im digging your sounds 'logger. i envy you and your moog. im still looking for a JSQ for my Juno 60.. keep up the great videos... tell barbie i asked about her.. :-)
that shit was dirty as a motherfucker. Gonna try this with my SP-1200.

Ah yes, I have Attack, Sustain, Decay and Release controls.
Thanks. =)

@eggbloke1
Woa, hold on there.
There is just no way software can emulate all that.
We're talking rusty plugs, cool weird noises that you only find once.
When it's gone, it's gone :P
Software is just too perfect I guess, maybe if you add some saturation to it.

a Minimoog E? What is this?? The D model was the last model.
AnalogAudio1 2 years ago
The Model E was made by a Welsh company that aquired the rights to the Moog name and made MiniMoogs.
They had more stable oscillators with PWM on 1 and 2 (when set to square wave), as well as a few other improvements.

You can do it with reason.
Giwen 3 years ago
Hahahahah! Reason is a thin as a Saltine cracker. Anything is phatter than Reason.
This is where analog rules! The Alesis Andromeda has a similar feature, Damn it this makes me want a moog now too!

Reason 4.0's Thor sounds pretty good.

give it a rest with the philosophical shit already.
People on here want to give credit to anybody who plugs in a synth and makes some kind of noise with it. Sorry...but that does not impress me.
Either make some music, or get the F off youtube.
