  • that shit was dirty as a motherfucker. Gonna try this with my SP-1200.

  • i love synthesizers awesome

  • Can anyone say LapTop speakers, not the best venue for DEMO's

  • WOW. Awesome filters. Great sequence, for sure.

  • Sounds pretty dope man!

  • Amazing man keep up good work!

  • nice

  • Man play this wonderful keyboard. Are you one-fingered man ?

  • @kr61ab67

    It's monophonic.

  • too...much...distortion. start with some tight clean beats

  • that's the kind of dirty things you can do with a vintage minimoog D !

  • MAKIN DEM PHAT BEATS!

    great sound man!

  • Is there another name for 'amount of contour'? I like that sound and I cant find anything to do with it in Reason 4.

  • Yes...it is basically "Envelope Amount" or Env Amount. It controls the amount of Attack, Sustain, Decay, Release applied to the filter cutoff or amplitube. I hope that helps.

  • Ah yes, I have Attack, Sustain, Decay and Release controls.

    Thanks. =)

  • @eggbloke1

    Woa, hold on there.

There is just no way software can emulate all that.

We're talking rusty plugs, cool weird noises that you only find once.

    When it's gone, it's gone :P

Software is just too perfect I guess, maybe if you add some saturation to it.

  • @shadowoflightvideo

    Wow, it's been 6 months =P

Yeah, software is boring but cheap and easy to use.

  • @eggbloke1

I like to reply on old comments :P

Very true, have you tried Arturia Minimoog V yet?

    I recommend checking it out.

  • @shadowoflightvideo

Interesting, I will have to check that out at some point, thanks.

  • Oh fuck yes!

  • thats an awesome sound :)

  • dirty shit, yeah!

  • hey Analogger i just want to say to ignore those guys that give negative feedback on your music. Your music sounds really awesome and your really hilarious. So keep making videos!

  • Hey dude, thanks for the nice words. I hope that some of my nonsense will inspire others to possibly try new things. Luckily I kept this vid around 2 min - I admit it's pretty hideous sounding - you should have heard it in my studio - deafening! The only thing that sounds more hideous is some hapless middle aged fuck who thinks he can play "da blooze." Jesus, I'm getting faint just thinking of it.

  • par excellence !

  • i think its cool

  • wow, HOT rhythm ! ! !

  • woah, overdrivin'

  • Well done. Rocks me!

  • My guess is different Minimoog production runs will give a different result. FWIW, I've tried this with the Voyager with great results, similar to this.

And to the poster calling it noise, I agree absolutely! Best kind of noise is the kind that makes your booty shake!

  • that overload light is burning bright

  • it's called creativity. nice work!

  • hi! i´m a mini moog fan!( I have models "d" & "e")

    congratulations!

  • a Minimoog E? What is this?? The D model was the last model.

  • The Model E was made by a Welsh company that aquired the rights to the Moog name and made MiniMoogs.

They had more stable oscillators with PWM on 1 and 2 (when set to square wave), as well as a few other improvements.

  • that wuz crazy sick

  • Overload Overload Overload Overload .. melting chip !!! ;)

  • hey analogger-

is your drum machine going into the Trigger In input or the frequency input to produce this sound?

    thx!

  • Yo, homie! I am running the mono out from the drum machine into the Moog's external audio input. There is no sound until I hit a key to open up the VCF and VCA.

  • Thanks man.

Yeah, I just tried it from my 606 into my MFB-Synth 2. The results are much subtler. I think your MiniMoog really gives you more powerful overdrive for that kinda thing. ;)

  • It's wonderful but I don't understand what's happening or how!! Can the moogerfrooger filter pedal do something similar or is the oscillator doing some of the work?

  • Yes, you can get very similar results with the Moogerfooger Lowpass filter. The input led will turn a bright red when it is overdriven which gives you a nasty distortion.

  • wicked nasty

  • i have a minimoog v plugin was £170

  • amazing! wish i could get my hands on a moog!!!

  • Cool video I love how at 0:38 it's you've got this PRODIGY kinda vibe going!?!? Although we know that THE PRODIGY is named after the MOOG Prodigy ; ) I really enjoyed this very nice indeed..indeed!

  • bingo wings

  • i love doing this with my voyager>. moog makes it everything sound amazing

  • Daft Punk thinks the same way ;)

  • very nice! does overloading the input damage the moog in any way? you wouldn't want to break it :O

  • sounds a bit like "ove naxx" check him out.

  • i'd totally buy this if it were a single!

  • This is FAT =]

  • nice

  • this beat is incredible! really like it

  • youve got a good ear for making beats they always sound modern and good.

  • That's fresh. Great idea. I love it when the machines do the work, so we can play.

  • Sounds reallllllllllllllllllllly nice!!

  • i can dance to this

  • what a nice sounds. really like the fat sound of Mini model D.

  • I really liked when the drums had no overdrive so you can hear the contrast more. Nice work. :)

  • thats really fucking cool....i wonder how i can do that with software hmmm

  • Hahahahah! Reason is a thin as a Saltine cracker. Anything is phatter than Reason.

This is where analog rules! The Alesis Andromeda has a similar feature, Damn it this makes me want a moog now too!

  • Reason 4.0's Thor sounds pretty good.

  • I don't really understand why Giwen's comment has -6. Reason may not be perfect, but in the right hands... Bossum.

  • drum loop-overdrive- filter. pretty simple combination.

got gonna sound as massive as this though.

  • you cant do that with software!

  • Add some LCD soundsystem-style talking, and you've got a hit record.

    "I'm losing my edge," etc

  • that's a great idea, thanks!

  • Actually.. I like this better than LCD Sound System. But then I am just a private citizen. I don't write reviews fer-a-livin'.

  • ILL!

    MR OIZO ALL OVER IT!

    Get ya alesis 3630 init!

    BO YA

  • Nice! Don´t you have a band or something?

  • thanks! I used to have a band awhile back - now I just make music to amuse myself - and annoy my neighbors.

  • but what about distributing? I mean, u r really good!

  • I have had a couple other people say the same thing - actually I wouldn't really know where to begin. I did have a CD on Amazon for awhile - went nowhere!

  • you should start with myspace... it kinda works...

  • distributing what? a drum machine put through a filter...

No offense, but this doesn't take much skill

  • you have to be able to bring out the parts of both the synth and the drum rhythm that sound coolest while distorted without letting them overlap and distract from eachother... Try it for yourself and you'll see what I mean, and of course i demand proof that you were able to do better and will expect you to upload a video of your superior distorted drum loop video

  • @MARANTZamp 1. Then where is your music 2. This is a demonstration

  • YEAH THIS SOUNDS TERRIBLE ¡¡¡¡

  • Cooooool !

  • sorta sounds like oizo's analogue wormz attack

  • Yeah Yeah Yeah I'm lovin this RnB moog fusion.

  • i think we're having fun now!

    look at all the toys!

  • That was awesome!

  • LOL... nice comeback zonk

  • Just like life, dude.

  • no no no ... life can be round and phat as the mini .. and even as smooth as a mini .. but you have to know how to play and program it ! ;)

  • im digging your sounds 'logger. i envy you and your moog. im still looking for a JSQ for my Juno 60.. keep up the great videos... tell barbie i asked about her.. :-)

  • Sounds great!

  • Thanks...I had a blast doing it! Stay tuned...I am soon going to be putting up a Minimoog vs Guitar offering.
