They are Army but they recruit from all branches of service, no offense but more ranger's and Army SF than anything else. they work hand in hand with Army Rangers. Rangers mostly pull support for them. Does this stuff happen to Delta? Yes, black hawk down was true. Delta and Army Rangers went to capture there objectives and 18 U.S. service men were killed. according to the U.S. delta and rangers killed over 1000 injuring 3-4000, some were civilians
@Bacardi4206 You are forgetting SFOD-D, Devgru, CIA's SAD and SOG, and SBS. Those are the top Special Forces of the world. SAS is also one of them From them you cannot pick a best. I love SFOD the best out of them.

I am not picking my favorites although SAS is one of my favorites. If I picked my favorites, it would be SAS at 1, JTF2 as 2nd than Navy Seals as third, etc. I ranked those two based on professional statistics from a year or so ago that I saw. That's there professional ranking.

Who setup statistical facts about all nations militaries, groups within them, etc. You can find sites with these stats, I am unsure if any new ones were made however as of a year or so ago. SAS was ranked #1, Spetznaz was either #2 or #3 with some American SF either infront of behind. They have stats with the best ranked military with stats on everything on them like military size, vehicles, resources, etc.

but the aks 47 has an effective range of 300 meters (full) 400 (semi) while the m16 has an effective range of 400 (full) 550 (semi) infact the m16 is more powerfull it has a muzzle velocity of 948 M/S and the ak has 715 M/S, but AK47 fires a heavier caliber which means the impact will be more powerfull

@Bacardi4206 You are forgetting SFOD-D, Devgru, CIA's SAD and SOG, and SBS. Those are the top Special Forces of the world. SAS is also one of them From them you cannot pick a best. I love SFOD the best out of them.

I am not picking my favorites although SAS is one of my favorites. If I picked my favorites, it would be SAS at 1, JTF2 as 2nd than Navy Seals as third, etc. I ranked those two based on professional statistics from a year or so ago that I saw. That's there professional ranking.

@Bacardi4206 JTF2 doesn't compare to 1st SFOD-D, SAS, DevGru, or SBS. Spetsnaz are like Marines. Tough but not the best. Tough doen't mean you are the best. They are trained to ignore pain but they aren't as elite as all the other Special Forces. They have gotten worse ever since the fall of the Soviet Union.

@amitnayna01 I never said they do, stop cramming words down my throat. I said they were part of MY top favorite SF. As JTF2 are Canadian SF and I am Canadian. They are also ranked top 5 in top SF stats. Also I think you're a tad ignorant about the Spetznaz. They may not be your fault though, they don't get to see much combat or get much press as your "favorites" however professionally ranked they are a top SF group.

Who setup statistical facts about all nations militaries, groups within them, etc. You can find sites with these stats, I am unsure if any new ones were made however as of a year or so ago. SAS was ranked #1, Spetznaz was either #2 or #3 with some American SF either infront of behind. They have stats with the best ranked military with stats on everything on them like military size, vehicles, resources, etc.

@n2bracing2 Um... Spetznaz is pretty knowledgeable, maybe not as much as pretty much most SF in the world however they are killing machines. There mental capability, combat skills and everything else make up for whatever there fall backs are. They are unique in there own way and have a lot of skills that most SF doesn't have. So yes, they are the top. Also I diddn't rank them, they were ranked that way by professional statistics.

@jbmmkgeaed123 wrong and right its true the russian standard assault rifle(AK47) fires a higher caliber which means its more powerfull 7.62 and the us standards m16 fires 5.56 smaller caliberl.
but the aks 47 has an effective range of 300 meters (full) 400 (semi) while the m16 has an effective range of 400 (full) 550 (semi) infact the m16 is more powerfull it has a muzzle velocity of 948 M/S and the ak has 715 M/S, but AK47 fires a heavier caliber which means the impact will be more powerfull

Im really disgusted with kids that want to join the army and fight because of games like Call of Duty. Real combat is nothing like it, its a lot more terrifying,dangerous and hellish than you could think. If you think you can fight and win because you can go through MW2 on insane without breaking a sweat, then you've got a little talent but forget it if you think that'll help you dealing with real firearms, or if you think that means that you won't end up scarred for life or dead.
