@sokewt in the studio you get a billion chances until you do it right - they can chop the best bits of several takes together. plus you focus on your singing - no visual performance or crowd to entertain. nothing to distract you from singing & your singing technique. and then there's pitch correction via the computer xD.

@Denzerf It's an issue with pop and rap artists. Several rock and metal singers can produce what they do in studio live...some of them are better live e.g. Halestorm and Slipknot. Studio albums just can't do them justice.
