  • so i will plant it after few leaf have grow?

  • nice work! what kind of soil did you use for the plant in this video?

  • I have tried several times to grow them, but the pit ends up geting moldy, I tried semi-sun.

Should I change the water frequently or maybe place it on full sun?

  • Gotta love a hippy chic.

  • they grow so fast!! :D

i would never let them grow roots that big before planting!!

mines r growing so big so fast!!

along with all my other plants!! XD

i have no more room in the house :L

  • i'll try some today :) thank you

  • LoL... I just put the seed in my avocado pot of earth. No root stimulation or anything. I've got this big pot with dirt in the corner of my living (nice bright place) and when I finished an advocado I put the seed in my "avocado-bin" (this is the pot)... That's all.

I started doing this ±6 years ago and I've got a whole family now. Not all of them make it, but the plants that did are big and strong. I guess I'm a lazy gardener ;)

    Love your movie!

  • Im going to start to try doing this!

    it seems fun and easy.

Great Video! wherever you live, or where you are is beautiful!

  • You actually leave the pit in the water long enough for it to grow roots this big and have leafs on it!!!... i usually let mine grow a root about an inch long and then plant them...could this be why I have been so un sucessfull at growing them... mine usually grow a stem about a foot long and then become all dry and die... Any tips...

  • Hey cstmontreal, yeah, try and leave it to grow at least two leaves before you pot it on. Also if you do it in spring the new leaves will have plenty of sun to bathe in as it starts out its new life.

once the weather warms up enough for you to bop about in a t-shirt, put your little plant outside, it loves it out there!

  • Greetings to Alys from Rhodes, Greece. I love avocado plants :)
