Just curious, (and yes I am going through and watching your whole library) why do you do these? Is it just for fun, or are you trying to get partnership and do this for a living? I'm just wondering, because I really enjoy your videos. I started watching when I stumbled on your Hokuto no Ken IPAT because I'm a big fan of the series, and I subscribed around the time you were doing Mystic Defender.
@UnPlayedAThing Hey man, AVGN has fundraised 160,000 dollars in just a couple weeks for a movie, and the yogscast have been globetrotting for months doing cons. I know they aren't strictly LPers, but that's how they started. You have a lot of good qualities man. You're mature, not dirty, knowledgeable about your games, reasonably skilled, and funny. I think that given a couple years and the right approach you could make some money. Not 100s of gs, but a little jingle in your pocket at least.
Heh, weirdly enough I got super nostalgic at two places: 1) the title screen and 2) seeing all the tiles go by as you were choosing your character! Some of those tiles (the different colored snakes, the goblin, the old hag, even that tiling stone wall texture!) really got some of those old neurons firing again. Pretty awesome. Thanks so much for the video.
So, will you be playing ACS games people made after this, or...because I can think of a great game you could IPAT just like that...ever hear of Avernum?
On the first question, probably not. The internet ACS world isn't nonexistent, but there's not a lot out there, and little of it is on the same level as Rivers.
I've heard of Avernum, and while I make no promises, I'll put it on the list for consideration!

@IVIegadude Just for fun. I doubt even the biggest fish in the LP pond could make more than beer money at it, and I am far from the biggest fish!

I always felt that the sound was part of the game's charm. Loved those horns in the Amiga port.

Don't mention it.

I can't believe you made this and I watched it all the way through hehe. ACS rocks too much I guess.
About your comments on music, I'm confused as to why an Amiga port of this wouldn't have music when the c64 did??
Anyway, like other games of that era (notably Ultima IV), you loose so much of the game when playing other ports vs. c64 due to *sound*
One of the biggest moments of this game is when you get the statue and hear the music on the c64 version - check it out if you haven't already!

I played both the C64 and Amiga versions of ACS. The Amiga version had all the music and sound effects that were in the C64 version and more.

"Eternal flame", LOL! I love how eager the bear seems to be to wrestle with Fire.
If you ever do undertake Avernum (it's huge) note that it started out as a trilogy of top-down RPGs named "Exile" with an intentionally Ultima flavor.

Ah good. It is a game I've been trying to push into the LP forum for awhile now. Always fun.

Just wondering. Why did you decide to be a block of fire as your character ?

Man, why DIDN'T I decide to be a block of fire as my character.

Put in some music to this otherwise silent game. Heck, maybe you can do a request music type of thing?
