  • He also believes that only Americans can lead the World in innovation. Well, the Victorians thought that way, until Germans and upstarts across the Atlantic starting innovating.

He will be shocked to see innovation coming from the least likely of places in the next few decades.

He hasn't also dealt with the possibility of a more open and democratic China.

  • do we need to entertain that possibility, they've gone on the record saying that they won't become democratic. "Only Americans can lead the World in innovation" Where in the video does the man say that?

I'd be surprised if you didn't take medication

  • Joseph Nye lives in a bubble. The kind of bubble that people who cut their teeth during the Cold War live in.

In a World where the US has lost all credibility in the Middle East, where Bollywood is rules Central and South Asia, where the English premier league is the World's most watched sporting event, where person to person contact between Americans and the rest of the World is on the decline and where American diplomats are housed in fortress type embassies............

    He doesn't get it.

  • @MrOkadaman28 A Cold War bubble indeed. You sure you aren't the one living in it? "Contact between Americans and th rest of the World is on the decline" Seriously not even my dog could pull that out of its arse. "English premier league world most watched sporting event" I believe you meant the the world cup you simpleton. "Bollywood rules Central and South Asia" That is a surprise, why? And that shows a decline in US power...how? "Possibility of a more open and democratic China" Why

  • Joseph Nye overestimates American soft power, a major component of American soft power is economic opportunity. Today, many other nations offer economic opportunities to both their citizens and foreigners. He talks about educational opportunities, but the lock down of America after 9/11 showed that other nations (in Europe) can offer the same opportunities with less hassle.

He hasn't realised the World is about to produce the first "post-American" generation in fifty years.

  • america didn't have softpower they go every where with gun like cowboy movie this guy is nationalist he didn't talk reality no body america trust in this world we live including european union, he translate decline different category which is not necesary becouse nobody said america wil out of map, every analyss person talking america decline like portugal 15 century spain 16 century british 19 century all those country they are stil exist america is become one of those, thats what people talkin

  • @Strugglle Ignore my response mate, i couldn't give a fuck. You're hopeless anyway and your ideas will drown in the sink of history
