so the answer is no you don't just stick a piece of foam on the end, you stick a socket-ed plastic disc with a piece of foam glued to it.... i still think that could be home made
@dwhitby1971 You'd be surprised. We actually MADE this video because we were getting e-mails from people who saw our videos & created their own arrows. We were tired of seeing pictures of cuts and bruises, so we made this video to tell them to STOP DOING THAT before they killed themselves!
@mirracoNo7 Haha! Maybe with the Archery Tag arrow, but that would only make him mad, and we didn't want poor Paul to look silly, running around the property being chased by a rabid groundhog. ...On second thought, that would have made a great video!
rofl of course it's gonna do that if you just stick foam on the end and loose it from a bow, that's why re-enactors screw a plastic disk on and tape foam to that tightly
rofl of course it's gonna do that if you just stick foam on the end and loose it from a compound, that's why re-enactors screw a plastic disk on and tape foam to that tightly
@aoxilus Actually, this video was made because we were getting messages from people who had seen our videos & attempted to construct their own arrows, resulting in injury. We wanted to demonstrate that manufacturing your own arrow & shooting it at a friend is NOT a good idea. Thanks for watching.
i used to be an archer then i took an arrow to the knee. i have a bear archery brand bow and havent shot a arrow yet cuz its raining so we cant set up my targets.
@EliteFreak71 No, unfortunately compounds and crossbows can't be used because of their kinetic energy. The weight of the blunt on the end of the arrow could cause the arrow to shatter when being fired out of compounds and/or crossbows...and that's not a good thing. Just recurves and longbows at this point. Thanks for the great question, and thanks for watching! Have a great Friday.
@3458andrew It's not. It is SIGNIFICANTLY less dangerous. But a badly "homemade" foam arrow is MUCH more dangerous than the ones made by Archery Tag. Thanks for watching!
how far can these arrows actually go? I feel like it would be disappointing if they lobbed and didn't go very fast or far in a straight line. wouldn't feel like archery. hopefully they do tho!
@MrBaseball65 EXCELLENT question, thank you for asking! The standard playing field is 100'x50', and if you arc your shot, you can hit an opponent from one end to another. In fact, quite often, arrows are shot 10-20' out of bounds, so, at full draw with a 28# bow, a strong archer can easily shoot over 100'. And our newly released tips are shockingly accurate.
@pyromaster37 Great question. It's because the kinetic energy is too great, and the arrow could split or shatter, causing possible injury. We recommend recurve or longbows with 40 pounds of draw or less. Thanks!
@pyromaster37 Another excellent question. Unfortunately, no, we don't offer arrow kits because there is no way that we could guarantee that users would assemble them correctly, and that leaves too much room for injury. However, you can buy the arrows without buying a whole Tagmaster set. It's just $40 for four arrows. Check out the link on our channel. Thanks, and have a great Christmas!
@nerflongstrikecs6 There are all kinds of ways to play. There's a dodgeball-style game, but there are also arena battles, paintball-style battles in the woods, target shooting (allowing archers who live in town to practice in their backyards), and one of my favorites...Deer Hunter, where everybody goes into the woods and hides, and one player (the "deer") has to get to three specific points without getting shot. That one's a blast!
@craigwhite11 YES! We are! In fact, we already have one facility in the UK, at Black Cat Archery. You can learn more at their website, blackcatarchery . com. Thanks!
will this sport come to england any time soon because i do paintball in england and archery tag looks really fun. comment back if that may be happening sometime in future
Man all you have to do is get a rounded piece of wood rounded like a quarter maybe a little bigger slap it on a stick wwith some cement glue but some kinda padding on it and your set xD
Anybody with common sense should know that you guys did more then just stick a foam piece infront of an arrow. Keep up the good work man and cant wait to try it out.

@crazyoperationz Yes. Archery Tag bows are 28lbs, and other recurve or longbows can be used, but we do not recommend exceeding 40lbs.
