well. in my personal opinion omar and cedric are just more expiremntal than everybody else. they are better in my opinion. which is why i like TMV and not Sparta so much. because The Volta just has way better musicianship. They have wild tangents where they just display it. Especially now with Thomas Pridgen. It's done. TMV pwns.

I'm actually glad ATDI broke up.

You can really hear the rift of what will eventually become The Mars Volta and Sparta on this last album.

They just couldn't keep the cohesion anymore.

Actually they did Tremulant and De-Loused first before quitting. And you can totally tell when you listen to those first two albums, and then compare them to later ones. There's just a different quality.
