  • Woah the kid in the full black shirt can fight

  • What are the rules in kids MMA events? How do kids get ranked in MMA programs? I assume there are is no belt system in place. Do chokes get taught to small children? If not, wat what age are they taught? Thank you in advance.

  • @BushidoCode72

    fightleague . org Best Wishes!

  • @BushidoCode72 get your kid training but dont get him doing full contact until he is older. train at a gym and do some tournements but this is a little too much

  • @shadowyoshi360 I think if you get them fighting full contact at this age, by the time they peak biologically, they would have already been burned out. Seems like at this age you can hone their boxing, grappling and kicking.. once they are in their teens, and body is formed, they could do more contact. I don't like these reck necky crowds who like watching children fight. I love MMA and watch UFC with my kids. But seeing kids fight is too much.

  • @BushidoCode72 yeah i agree with you 100%

  • @BushidoCode72 smart ass lol your meant to also put i look forward to hearing from you

  • You should not be allowed to kick with wrestling shoes on.

  • WELL DONE GOOD FIGHT .....WELL DONE TO PARENT TOO ...

  • the bald kid so awsome

  • training the future bullies... this is child abuse.

  • @CreepX cry me a river bitch, this is mma

  • @w8ingtocu training bullies will make people cry rivers. its the river of blood youll be in, when a kid gets hurt to make his dad feel like a man. remember in school when you got beat up and you cried to your father... or were you the one who beat people up because you have no friends? oh well, cheer for the little kids hope they dont have Parkinson by the time they are 25.

  • @CreepX Well I'm sorry that one of these children can kick your ass. You're probably just jealous that these little kids are already more athletic and more powerful than you are. You remeber when your parents told you you were pathetic and told you to get the fuck out? Yea that's probably why you have these shitty outlooks on training kids martial arts. Bullying? you shitting me? maybe thats the case for some kids. Still, there is nothing wrong with this at all. you're just a faggot.

  • @CreepX So you were never offered a martial art during your time at school? Its child abuse when a bully isn't sorted out by the parents...

  • @CreepX Just because you know how to fight doesn't mean your going to be a bully. It's like saying if you teach a kid to shoot a gun he's going to go kill people and be a serial killer. Also about the child abuse, learn what child abuse is before you go around using it.

  • Pretty jealous I'm 11 and I train in MMA but I can't actually legally fight. Me mum owns a gymnastics gym so i can practice there sometimes though. but thats only with My 16 yo. brother. :P

  • white kid is beast

  • WERE IS THIS ANY WERE BY Kingman AZ or CA pleass anwser me

  • Dang! These kids have got some balls.

  • his kicks are so obvious (round hosue kick) he turns his whole body showing tht hes about to do tht kick. i would of block grabbed his leg and thorwn him on the floor

  • wen they were on the floor during 0:28 he could have picked him up and slamed him on his back not very smart is he

  • @wizardsteven245 Slamming is illegal in Amateur Pankration.

  • For how young they are it's surprising how well that was

  • nice

  • nice

  • This is fcking wrong, why the fck have you got kids kicking crap out each other

  • future MMA Warriors

  • this shit is terrible

  • great video !!!!

  • where was this?

  • can a kickboxer change over into mma with ease?

or will it be difficult for me to do so? also do you ever have to wear head gear and stuff? (my parents are big on stuff like that

  • @jeme223

it would be difficult if u have no ground game or takedowns jiu jitsu, judo, sambo ...etc and headgear is optional in sparring and such but in an mma fight no...

  • @JiuJitsuCosensMMA ok thanks man. i guess i wont be doing mma cause i know my parents wont let me do it. oh well kickboxing is better than nothing i guess lol

  • @jeme223 kick boxing is big with mma but u might wanna get some grappling in there too before u join

  • a small glimpse into sparta lol

  • This is the future right here.

  • this is kinda like wrestling but with the punching and kicking and submissions and the barefeet

  • were do these fights take place ??

  • I don't agree with the kid wearing wrestling shoes, Shouldn't be allowed. If you're allowed to kick you should be bare foot.

  • This is the future of MMA. not just boxers turning MMA or other styles doing the same.

Look up Rory Macdonald, He's the beginning of next generation MMA fighters.

  • What state is this fight in. Do you know if anything like this is going on in Ca,

  • @bigjoenorcali

    Check out fightleague. o r g & bloodbrosinc. n i n g. c o m

Almost all the pankration matches on youtube are from California

  • @spartancs

    Thanks.

  • good match ..the future is here i think

  • Great fight and great sportsmanship

  • fuckin little psychos...

  • its good that kids learn martial arts so early but these kids who compete may not be able to compete when they are adults because they will suffer all kinds of injurys that will ruin them for later competetion

  • Not true. There bodys will be used to it.

  • i wish i could do this

  • Very good techniques.

  • Ooooookaaaayyyy......mma is really good i think but for kids...i think it is much more dangerous because their boney aren´t strong as then from a 18 years old fighter and even they had less saveties. Well i think it is very dangerous for them.

Another think i wonder...did the child with less hair wear shoes?

  • yo these kids have skills

the bald kid didnt own him

but the other kid just wasnt allowed to get close

  • LMFAO oh shit SONNN!!!

  • I'm not saying kids' MMA is wrong, but it's shocking to see people cheer at and egg on little kids like this (8 years old?) punching, kicking, and kneeing each other in the face legally. It seems like the restrictions on controlled violence are getting weaker and weaker. When one thing leads to another you might see prisoners fighting each other to the death on Pay-Per-View. But in spite of that, that bald kid sure is the little fighter! I just hope he's not, nor turns into a jackass.

  • Viddyd33,

You need to watch the video again bro because you are making statements about it that are wrong. There are no strikes above the collarbone allowed in this league and there were none in this video.

This is amateur mma for kids but the rules are reasonable and the safety record is outstanding.

TKD sparring and Boxing is much more risky for kids ( head contact is allowed )

  • That's a relief.

Actually, there is a strike above the collarbone in this video done by the bald boy, the ref stops the match because of it. I was wondering what he blew the whistle for.

  • Oops, I stand corrected.

You are right there was an inadvertant shot to the chin.

When this match was held he ref would give a warning or DQ if he felt the foul was intentional. The rules are more strict now with a heavier bias to DQ for intentional or unintentional shots to the head.

  • wait they can kick with no shin guards?

WTF that's like a pro fight but with body punching only.

Or was he only allowed to kick with the foot or something???

  • how old are these kids? lol theyre doin great

  • 11 years old (3 years ago)

  • @pankrasekid

    They have tons of talent

  • @pankrasekid yo this is fucked up. kids this young should be having organized mma bout are you fucking retarded? at 0:48 the bald kid throws the same sloppy kick 5 straight times in a row and the other kid has zero defense against it nor the ability to predict it. this video is pointless, wait until they're at least 15, 16 and can actually utilize defense properly. this is an embarrassment.

  • @forbesfoofighters Actually the kids who compete in this league are very skilled competitors. Several are national & international champions in multiple sports (Golden Gloves Boxers, Wrestling, Muay Thai, BJJ ). The sport is sanctioned by FILA and practiced internationally. I know several of the parents and kids who participate in the sport both in the US & Europe. I haven't met any yet that are "fucking retarded".

  • @spartancs you clearly dont fight but for somebody who does it is clear they have no guard on the ground to defend or attack with submissions so they are always giving up full mount. the stand up is the worst part, they have absolutely no defense, their hands are always way too low, their chins aren't tucked and they have no technique at all in their punches or kicks. in addition they have very little pain threshold and no resiliency to damage

  • @forbesfoofighters ahh I see. Your point is that all the kids who compete in this league don't have complete MMA games yet, ok so what, they are doing what they like to do. You have a problem with freedom? Many of these kids have much more complete games than most of the guys that show up on TUF as demonstrated by national championships in multiple sports ( boxing/wrestling, muay thai/bjj). Your comments also make it clear that you haven't seen very many of these matches.

  • @spartancs haven't seen many and wont watch any more. not only do they not have complete skills but they cant defend themselves properly and that is the most troubling part. they give up bad positions on the ground and then they're basically fucked. i dont really care if you think they're skilled boxers because the fact is 10 year olds cant block punches. just look at his footwork at 0:44 when he circles. if they're so good why cant they go full contact?

  • @spartancs maybe because at 0:41 the kid takes a little jab on the mouth and they have to blow the whistle cause he looks like he's gonna cry.

  • @forbesfoofighters Point us to your fights so we can all be informed by your preeminent skills. These are ahh, 10yr old kids competing. I didn't say that the kids in this clip are Golden Gloves Champions, I said that kids who compete in this league are GG Champs, National Wrestling Champs, BJJ Champions & Muay Thai Champs. These kids are stepping up @ 10yrs old & guys like Bas & Randy Couture think they have legit skills, I understand that you disagree. Who are you? Post your fights

  • @spartancs i could point you to my fights rather quickly if i had to but it wont change anything. whether i can fight or not doesn't change the fact that 8 year olds can't protect themselves because they cant grasp the science of defense and leverage. dude wake up there is not such thing as a fuckin 8 year old BJJ champ. the way these kids hold their hands too low and swing stupid with sloppy punches and kicks disturbs me. its clear from watching these videos they have no skill and are at risk

  • @forbesfoofighters Please point us "rather quickly" to your stuff so we can calibrate. I said these kids are 10 and you are talking about 8yr olds??? This video is 3 years old & kids from this event did compete and win @ the IBJJF Pan Am's. What is "clear to you" seems to escape well respected pro fighters. Please point us to yoru stuff. Bjj, Boxing, Wrestling, Judo, MMA.....

  • this.......is........AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • he had some powerful kicks for someone his age

  • Sick, This is awsome! Pure Sportsmanship. Good Fight Guys.

    ]

  • Nice job boy I wonder if you could do that to KAMRYN12? haha dont think so even if that was 2 years ago lol

  • Looks like Kam is a lot bigger man. Search on "Pankration All Stars" for a bunch of kids in different weight classes.

    BTW, nice sammys

  • owned!!!

  • i really like how the rules are in place to take care of the kids. The second he puts on the choke, the ref calls it. Great way for them to learn the sport without killing each other....plus you know no bully is gonna mess with them

  • man they should add mma to school's i so want to do this.

  • i bet that kid with the wresling shoes would whoop the shit out of a basketball player his age. think about that.kid that trains to fight every day vs a kid who runs and shoots a ball into a hope all day. mmmmmmmmmmm tuff choice

  • Yep.

People who don't have any fighting experience think it's much easier than it is.

Watching a fight on video is much different than up close & live. Very few strikes land with power when two are people trained fighters.

  • @pankrasekid lol ye i have a big bodybuilder friend and he came to watch me train, he said he could take a few guys there quite easily it wasnt the case the next day when a kid thats 16 whooped his ass and my friend is 19 btw

  • why is that kid kick with shoes on?

  • He's a wrestler.

He likes the grip to the mat.

  • im 16 and want to know where i can find a place to do this to train and to fight like this i live in the dc area

  • Yeah.

Obama needs to appoint a "Sports Czar"

and outlaw all sports but baseball and basketball.

  • Baseball is the worst sport ever created. Dont be mad that this little kid could probly kick your ass

  • Hey word559,

How about trying to have an open mind? Do you have any idea how many kids have been killed playing baseball over the last 10yrs, not to mention other injuries less serious than being dead. Look it up. Why not get your facts straight before you attack a sport that many kids enjoy and train hard year round for.

  • Comment removed

  • Where do you live?

  • sorry for the bad message that was my cousin hes a beaner they fight good

  • Well you don't see that ending at all sports a firm handshake and a sportive hug, cheers!

  • how they win till someone cries lol

  • daaaammmm he dominated with those kicks.

  • kool

  • I'm a big MMA fan but I think its a bit extreme to let the kids fight with no padding. Although padding makes it almost impossible to properly grapple , I think it's a bit extreme to let 10-12 year old kids kick the crap out of each other while wearing what the pro's do (just those small 16oz gloves). I would hate to be one of their parents....

  • However, it is good for practicing to bare pain.

  • Trust me, using more substantial gear still is painful when sparring. I'm still surprised that there is no age limit for full contact/no pads mma. For example, hockey isn't full contact until 12-14 depending on the league.

Anyone have any predictions for UFC 99/UFC 100?

  • Very true this is barbaric for kids

  • You should take a look at the rules at, Fightleague . Org

    You might change your opinion.

No strikes above the collarbone are allowed, hence the small mma gloves and lack of headgear. The strikes seem to get people excited but the biggest injury risk lies in the submission grappling and BJJ.

    Cheers

  • These are the rules for minors, I assume?

  • The rules posted at Fightleague . Org apply to all competitors, there are a lot of adult competitors from military base teams and everyone is subject to the same rules.

This is amateur MMA not professional MMA. The rules don't allow any striking to the head whatsoever.

  • okay, makes sense....None-the-less, If I were in the parents position , I would hate to see my kid to compete like this..getting the shit kicked out of them lol.

  • oops, my bad...4oz gloves (mma punching/grappling gloves)

  • this is crazy

  • I know man thats what we were sayin.

  • MMA is going to be really badass in like 10 years. this is the future

  • I seen this kid fight before. Real good

  • hi pankrasekid i want to do mma but i want to know if need to do

  • My GOD...

    Its Amazing

  • what is the ruling kids name?

  • Daniel O.

  • these kids are the future of MMA.

  • anybody know how old the dominating kid is? i love his aggressiveness.

  • 11 in this fight.

  • They are awesome. I thought they had to wear headgear though.

  • Rules: No head strikes.

  • i seen them strikin at the head 0:20

  • this kid is a beast. i really want to get into this! but i dont know how to!

  • NICE!!

Nobody's going to be taking hus lunch money.

Love the show of respect at the end of the match too.

    Obviously has a good instructor.

  • thanks

  • I love how people claim that MMA is a violent sport for kids, but turn around and strap a helmet on thier son and tell him to hit the guy with the ball as hard as he can so he fumbles! I've been a coach for youth football, soccer and baseball and now I have my son in MMA, and YES I do MMA as well. I've yet to see one child get a seriuous injury in the sport of MMA. Can't say the same for the other sports, football injuries happen frequently, breaks, sprains concussions, soccer slide tackles etc

  • Straight bad ass.

  • what tournament is this?

  • SoCal Pankration

  • wow kid is tough just needs to work on kicks a bit more then he'll be 1 bad ass kid

  • right on... future champ... I have been boxing for 9 years and just recently picked up mma and it is wonderful sport to be a part of... My new born child will compete in both sports... So I guess I ve got a special spot in Hell as well... I swear some fucking parents are uneducated dumbasses

  • im a fan of mixed martial arts and in my opinion mixed martial arts should be only practised by adults.

  • im a fan of chess and in my opinion chess should be only practised by adults.

  • Yes, the camo shorts.

  • so this is what whie people teach 2 they kids

  • LOL

Whites & Asians, too. (I'm Asian.)

  • wow thats interesting, bceause black people r tryin to teach their kids to be gentlemen pussies basically. i wish i could teach my kids this

  • is this ur kid?

  • yeah the mass media saw there opp. n jumped on it! and as always they have bird brains that dont know a thing about the sport cover it. n now this clown, a special place in hell? n im sure u see football n youth hockey as safe? cause they tell u it is? rite? ive been 2 many youth hockey games, n thier much worse than n kids mma i've ever seen!

  • There's a special place in hell for the parents of these children.

  • DCPete27, I guess that place would be somewhere cooler & nicer than the place reserved for the parents of Football, Soccer & Basketball players, since this sport is safer for kids. Since my kids compete in all the above sports I guess I'm relly screwed. :(

  • why is everyone comparing this w/football? im a huge football fan and n mma fan! there both sports n they both have the potential 2 b dangerous! b we do our best w/rules n regulations 2 make sports like this as safe as possible! i see nothing wrong!

  • ... Because most of the pussies who attack freedom-for-others did not participate in contact sports. They are holding up football as the model for contact sports: pads, helmets, referees, no aggression, no injuries, etc.

That moron on ESPN who was held up as an "expert" has NO Martial Arts experience. He's a Basketball Coach. The "expert" in psychology was a PEDIATRICIAN, not a Psychiatrist or Psychologist. It seems like the enemies of freedom are Forum Shopping.

    Why is safety an issue?

  • Hi calfslicer

Of course safety should not be an issue, let them fight,no protection only stop it when a kid is really hurt (hospital time). Too many pussies out there,

What do paediatricians know about injuries to kids, nothing thats what. Leave it to MMA guys they ARE THE EXPERTS on abuse of kids .

Cut the safety crap and get on with the fights !!

I dedicate this message to all the sick bastards out there who like to see kids hurt.

  • Safety is an issue only for participants. Fine, let ME decide for you your activities In the name of SAFETY: As of today, I outlaw the ingestion of hot dogs & steak due to risk of choking. I outlaw all water activities due to risk of drowning. You are forbidden to travel in any manner due to risk of injury.

You did not watch the ESPN piece, did you? The PEDIATRIC Dr was brought on about PSYCHOLOGY.

A "Play is the Way" intructor was brought on to discuss INJURY.

    Who's hurt here?

  • My pediatrician and my orthodontist have been very positive and supportive of me fighting.

  • silly argument who cares, full contact hockey and football have much more potential for serious injury

  • and if mma turned illgeal in america i would move to brazil.

  • good sportsmanship shown there and respect shown towards each other. it just looks brutal to some people cuz those kids are small and they can punch fast lol..talkin bout featherweights lol. there is nothing wrong with those kids learning and doing this. the refs just need to watch closley and take care of them there. the main thing to be taught to them is to not do this at school for the hell of it. its mma not just to look for a fight and see if you can whoop sumbodys ass.

  • This is not a sport, not martial art and neither suitible for kids! Why do you think Jigoro Kano invented judo? He saw the principles in ju-jitsu and apply to it the benefits of good sportmanship. Ju-jitsu is an art created for warfare, and Kano transformed it into a sport. This MMA, specially when kids are involved, are a huge backstep in philosophy, sportmanship and humanity ethics. MMA for kids only serves parents psychological hunger for violence!Contact sports NEEDS RULES!

  • TEXBARA YOU need to stop being such a pussy.

  • What the hell is everyones problem? Ok, so they are in MMA, who cares, its a sport, and a competition. They have refs that watch this and make sure nothing bad happens, and if something does slip by, they have a medical team there. They are learning how to defend themselves if something does happen. And these kids like this sport. What is everyones deal?

  • PART 2

    3. The heavy equipment in football is a weapon used to injury. The light gloves/equipment in Pankration reduces the force. Also, It allows the defender to be more agile.

    eosiso, GOOD ARGUMENT you made!

  • PART 1

I played/coached football for many years. Football is much "worse" using the criteria that these posters write.

    1. Football results in numerous head & neck injuries including: concussions, jaw/tooth, broken noses, stingers, broken necks. Pankration: 0 (none) to date.

    2. Football Players are trained to have the intent to injure their opponents. It eliminates the opponent from the game/season. Pankration teaches "applied pressure." The intent is submission = victory without injury.

  • IDK. I wouldnt let my kid do it but I can see both sides of the coin on the issue.

none the less i bet it will soon be ban

  • crap this is so freaking bad wtf

  • You don't get it.

I only know one parent who pushed his kid into this sport. That kid broke & the dad backed off. It's too mentally & physically challenging. The kids in it, love it.

If they make it illegal, that's the way it goes.

There are hundreds of sports for kids to play. For the time being, these kids like this one. He'll has other sports to play.

He's been hit in the head (by accident) once in 15 fights.

In BJJ & Wrestling training, there are no head strikes.

  • The parents should be ashamed. These kids won't grow up to be strong they will all be half retarded from getting hit in the head too many times! It will be illegal soon anyway!!

  • It will soon be illegal... So enjoy it while you can.

  • TWO WORDS..... CHILD ABUSE!!! My background comes from Traditional Martial Arts. This is NOT Martial Arts. It's dog fights without the Pit Bulls. When a kid dies will you bury him out back like Mike Vick did?

  • You're right. This is terrible!!!

What will the Pit Bulls do for a living, now ???

  • This IS martial arts. MIXED martial arts. you're just soft.

  • man i watched the kid that wons other fight and hes a monster he likes 2 drop bombs (like that quick guillotine he put on em 2)

  • Which do you think is better for the sport: Trainers or bare feet?

  • The short-haired kid is my son.

The individual fighters make their own choice about their feet. My opinion is that each has advantages & disadvantages.

Bare Feet - Most instructors require training in bare feet (for a few reasons); therefore, you should fight how you train. It is tougher for your opponent to hold your foot.

Trainers: better grip, better ankle/foot support when you miss your kicks.

  • Just been watching this video again and I think footware should be banned because you can sustain serious injury from it such as a cracked or broken rib for example. (:-{

  • Actually, you should not strike with your feet. You should strike with shin.

  • I suppose it protects you from broken toes then, I haven't been able to find any clubs in the UK unfortunately...do you know a website where i might be able to find some?

  • what if your doin a straight kick?

  • The kid that won is pretty good.

  • Thanks.

The other kid is pretty good, too. That day, the other kid won the 15 year-old division. He's really good at Jiu-Jitsu and the striking took him by surprise.

  • Based upon looking at this 1 fight, your conclusion is logical. However, these same kids fight on a regular basis. The one kid is a jiu-jitsu expert. Adjustments are made between fights. The next time will be much closer. ... Serra beat St Pierre but next time, St Pierre will destroy Serra like he did Hughes in their 2nd match.
