  • ur telling me u cant build build muscle with 200 pounds of resistance bands doing chest press. be for real, get ur mind out of the gutter. u can build muscle with bands.

  • It amazes me when I see people claiming that resistance bands can't build muscle. Do you really think your body knows the difference between weights or tension when it is stressing and pushing your muscles? Resistance is resistance regardless. I think some get the wrong idea because they have only tried weak / cheap flimsy bands as opposed to ones that can provide 30KG of resistance each!

  • they can help for building muscle i use them in addition to bodyweight , pullups, dips with chains on my waist etc but i wouldnt rely on them alone.

  • Only bad thing is you never know how much you can lift. A good thing with resistance bands is you have less strain on your joints.

    Its great to start off with for a few months but honestly free weights are better after you get going, and you will see a difference in the two.

    Isolating a muscle a certain muscle is good for bands, but I think free weights are needed for building bulk.

  • @Madhatter24463 hrmm not really, I mean its a good idea but resistance bands are for building endurance and getting definition.

    I had the bands 6 months and seen some good results but my muscles did not get bigger only more defined, in some cases they got smaller. when I added free weights I saw them getting bigger and more defined in addition to the bands.

  • what do you think about using bands for muscle building? I feel they are good for conditioning type of training but not really for muscle building. Your opinion?

  • The type I have in the video are GoFit, the cool thing about that bag is all the little gadgets that come with hit! Any sporting Goods store should have something similar.
