For instance, a woman covered in blood and screaming could be giving birth, or being killed. Blood is just as natural a fluid a salt water (which it more or less is). It's we, humans, who often mistake natural processes for something dark or unpleasant. We as a band tend to exist in a world of shades of gray as opposed to black and white, good or evil, etc.

Blood symbolizes so many things-to so many different cultures. Power in the blood-life-death-sacrifice-ritual purification-menstruation-birth-It has fluid meaning-(no pun intended). It can be pure or defiled-I love this :-)
