  • Amazing! I would give anything to have my dad back with me. My love and blessing are with you. This video alone would make any father proud. You my friend have honored him well. Stay strong.'

  • What a beautiful memory you share of your daddy< I know he would be so proud of you. The fact that you don't carry hate for the man responsible shows what a kind and decent person you are. Thanks for sharing your story.

  • Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful tribute. You are a wonderful person!

  • You have touched my heart with this video,i have lost my loved one as well. It took a long time but i have realized i do not have mis fortune but im lucky for all the years i had and those were the best ones of my life.Thank you for sharing your story. xoxo jenna shea

  • My father died a violent death when I was 5, I'm 33 and I visited my father's tombstone last week for the first time, I just never found closure.

  • @alexandreleverrier I'm struggling with major health problems and I just read your comment here. I'm sorry about your grief.

  • wow this is a very touching video ... my mother was killed as well while a little different (she was kiled by a DWI driver) i will say you r story and words are touching

  • I am a survivor of homicide. I too give victim impact statements and attend parole board hearings. Now have become an advocate. I do feel your pain.

  • i am an old friend of the aulson clan from way back, i knew your father as a kid when we had camps up in salem new hampshire, he was always a well liked guy even as a kid, your uncle scott and i were good friends, i think this is indeed a true honor of your father, your father did well in raising a quite remarkable man, you he will be with you forever, that no other man can take from you, god bless

  • My grandfather was shot in the back when my dad was around 14, I can't imagine how my father felt nor do I want to ask.

  • Hi, im really sorry!Im sure your dad "is" proud of u!Best wishes

  • ...and your dad was an awesome dad, but you're not alone.

  • man dude you made me cry twice. So sorry man, murderer should be punished to the fullest extent. And our justice system is so flawed I can't even beleieve it.

  • Thank you so much for sharing this with us. You are such a strong person. You're doing so well in life. Just keep doing what you're doing. Thanks for telling the story about the dream too. Many times people are reluctant to talk about things like that. After my sister died, my mom had a dream. My grandfather came to her in it. He died seven years earlier. He told her that "we're taking good care of her over here. Don't you worry about a thing. Everything is fine." So I'm a believer.

    ~God Bless~

  • :( So sad and beautiful. This is a very powerful and moving video. Losing someone is bad, but to lose them at the hands of another is worse. May God watch over you and your family. My prayers and my heart go out to you and your family.

  • I was looking for victim impact statements to use in a lesson plan. I have in my life sat through many victim impact statements and helped write a number of those. None were near as powerful as this. I too was in tear when I watched this, mostly because my own son lost his father. I know how hard those milestones are without your Dad next to you. Like others, I believe the dream was real, that somehow your dad, my son's dad, are in fact with us and watching.

  • We are in the process of preparing a victim impact statement for my nephew's murderer. My nephew was shot and killed on May 12, 2007. The shooter in our case is only 17.....and it is sad that we have to be in this situation.

May you always be courageous and have the strength to keep up with this.

  • what a lovely video, and I hope that it was theraputic for you to do. your father will be with you always and no doubt would be pround of all your achievements

  • I'm in tears, that was so sad and beautiful. I know that they're is nothing I can say to bring him back or to make you feel better. But your really brave & I hope all works out for the best of youm, & i will pray fort you & your family.

  • george i am in tears after watching this video, you really are an amazing person...

  • an amazing amazing video that needs to be seen. I was a victim of domestic violence and I decided not to be a victim. I love your video and it was so amazing. What happened to the perpetrator

  • It was extremely tough and I read this word for word. It was really hard on my family as well, but 4 weeks later we found out that he was denied parole and we actually have to go through the same process in 3 years if he applies for it. Thanks for your comment.

  • BBBlueMango, I admire your strength and attitude. Is Kevin Wood indifferent to the pain he caused? Why did he do this horrific thing?

  • proud of you. :)
