Rave is good as an anime, but man, does it suck as a manga. This is one of those series where you really want to just stick with the anime and forget about the manga.

The thing is, the manga gets really good right when the anime dropped it.

In my opinion, it doesn't get good in any part.

The story is extremely cliché, everything is highly predictable, the characters do not develop at all (Haru still is the same "IMMA HERO!" type) not to mention that the characters have REALLY overused types of personality ("Cool, calm, easily angry, ladiesmen, adventure whore"), etc.

The anime at least DID change the characters a little bit, while Hiro Mashima didn't do anything. His older works are terrible too.

But that's just my opinion.

The difference betweem TTGL and Rave:

TTGL is manly.

Rave is gay (as a manga, not as an anime).

TTGL has great character development. The personality of the characters is well planned. They aren't just one sided.

Excample, Haru is always like "I will save everybody, I will save the world and protect the cute forest animals".

While as Kamina is "I will fight my way trough troubles, let nothing keep me down, keep being a bit stupid and childish but still mature". Huge difference if ya' ask me.

@FrozenBlaze well what do u expect? this anime was from like 4 years of ago. ofc by now there wud be like 200 plus animes that has better storyline and such.

but, to me, the whole thing was still pretty good. i never read the manga (except for the first one), but the anime was freaking amazing. for me, it remains as one of my favs

yeah theres an english dub...but they cut it off a long time ago...they even stopped making dvds of rave master...there a gba and gamecube rave master game though! there old but worth getting!!!

they stoped because it was getting close to the manga they stoped in half way of the 12 tome and the manga has 30, i read the manga and it was awesome sadly i dont think they ever continue the anime.
