  • As an American (USA) citizen who understands politics... and who is active... I am more angry with the same complaints and suggestions as you. I am barred from some things because of being (in short) legally insane... and I don't believe that fasting is giving up an urge for a set amount of time while replacing it with another because God says that is Holy. I am also a Christian who stopped reading The Bible because I hate Christians every time I read it more.

  • in all fairness you should see the voting fraud thats popping up in the primarys right now, and the main stream media is just ignoring it like 3 year olds covering there ears and refusing to hear it. also due to districting third parties dont stand a chance anywhere so were left with 2 political parties no one likes. one problem is that people vote for the lessar of two evils and dont think third parties can win. so angry i say your partly right, and ive overused my voice for third parties alot.

  • americans are fucking retarded haha!

  • @patwaddington im not retarded, damn it. im just surrounded by tards

  • @EvilBproductions Clam, lady garden and bagingo.

  • to the presidential election lewis black stated it the best "when voted its like picking between 2 bowls of shit" lol but thats the america i live in today! lol

  • Presidential choice in America... Obama the Neoconservative, and whatever Republican Nazi makes the ballot.

  • It amazes me, when Americans complain to me about how shit their representative is, but they don't want to vote a third party candidate because they don't want to 'waste' their vote, EVEN if said candidate has a significant percentage of votes already

  • I hate it when you hear people complain about political issues but don't vote. Even in Australia like JWs who refuse to vote and then complain about laws. Grrrr. On the subject of Homophobics, People who hate generally in that kind of way are people I don't give a fuck about.

  • UGH I am sick of hearing about the republican primary! I am one that's cranky with the inaction of congress, but it's more that the GOP has found that if you hold every peace of legislation hostage then they can basically get what they like. But I am more happy with my Reps positions as they better mach my views (but still a little to right, even though they are Dems) much better then any of their probably GOP counter candidate. I could write in but in that case its a wasted vote.

  • Epic!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is so true.

  • The story I heard as to why they keep getting voted back in is because the fucking voting system is rigged so that when they get the votes of approval then they throw out the disapproval.

    But that's what I heard.

  • Well Done! Ex-fucking-actly! In the 2008 elections 75% of Republican Tea Party whackos voted...only 40% Democrats and progressives and they ended up with the congress from Stupidville. Think they learned their fucking lesson? I doubt it.

  • Is there any cell phone camera footage or something of this guy shouting?? Must be hilarious to watch

  • Lol! Gaydzee is hilarious

  • Bigots in FINLAND shouting "homo" in a shopping mall??

    ...Huh

  • There are only TWO presidential candidates in Finland?? Is it runoff time already? Please tell me in good ol' Finland, for christ sake, there aren't ONLY TWO major parties... It's bad enough that we here in the U.S. (and those in Britain) have it.

  • Does the Superbowl cure global warming? hardly

Does it cure cancer? I wish

Does it give us GOOD Congressmen and presidents? Please

  • Or they waste time getting more excited about the dumbass SUPERBOWL than actually caring about elections. How can one football game be so fucking "fun" to watch?? What, do the teams all win $1 Billion after they win? Do all the players get huge bonuses of $200 Million each on the winning team? No... all they get is 'recognition' as NFL champs for that year, "pride", and a trophy or 2. Big whoop

  • My fellow Americans LOVE to complain about shit, but when push comes to shove, they run away like pansies...

  • This reminds me of George Carlin's classic rant about how we complain about politicians as if they a) AREN'T fellow Americans and b) did NOTHING to put them in or can't do anything to stop them.

  • Unfortunately, enough people who DO care about politics and actually changing the outcomes so we get more accountability typically don't vote in midterm elections. Turnout in midterm elections here in the states is only 30-40% and not much higher in PRESIDENTIAL years for Congressmen.

  • @whoo689 That I don't get it's not like it is hard to vote, at leas considering many states have the option of absinte voting (like WA which is enteirly Vote by mail, with even specal late night drop boxes to meet the election day postmark deadline) should neave no excuse. I am of the opinion if you don't vote you don't have a right to complain about your elected officals. I vote so I can bitch when I dissagree with my reps, but my bitch is normaly other peoples reps!!

  • another word for lady parts

  • @EvilBproductions

    The fuck, man?

  • clunge

  • fanny

  • uterus.

  • I sure as heck didn't vote this Congress in. I voted for the opposite of everyone who's in the Congress right now except for Steve Chabot.

  • I was never able to understand or remember the differences between all the different parties. Democrats, republicans, liberal parties, conservative parties... it's all just a blur to me. :( Personally, all politics confuse me simply because I never agree with the way anything is done and I don't see the point of having it at all.

  • This made me watch the Finland Song by Monty Python again, thanks. Eric the half a Bee next week?

Or the Moneysong, with the financial crisis and all

  • The question is - what idiots will the Americans vote for again? Or is it what will idiot Americans vote for again? I don't know, to many idiots in America to tell the difference...

  • I would vote but it wouldn't make a difference. Because voting has close to no effect with all the politicians having the same position on bad politics ( being crazy nut house religious republicans , and weak-kneed Democrats ) not to mention I'm out numbered with idiots here in America. If a high school degree were REQUIRED for voting maybe just maybe it might make a difference ( but I wouldn't bet on it ).

  • @WesleyVlog If you don't vote then you don't get to complain about the politicians, let alone about the political system, that is the problem, people don't vote! So ether vote or shut up and stop complaining, because YOU got the government you deserve.

Then again I have voted in every election since I was 18 from local (county), State, and Federal.

  • @americancarguy i agree with you compleatly, considering we have third parties. however if we only had to choose between the big two i would not vote because it would be an insult to this country and the democratic process, and due to districting and voting laws passed after ross parot ran id say its its pretty close to that point. seeing that your one of those people who say vote or shut off, i figured id offer a reasonable explination for refusing to vote, which is different than being to lazy

  • @americancarguy i ment to say up, not "off"

  • @libertytooth The problem is that when less then 50% vote, then there is no way to really have more then 2 functioning parties, I think if more people voted instead of just saying I don't like party A & B so I wont vote, then yes we could have strong 3rd parties that have sway in congress. but it takes people voting. (that and I still have not found a 3rd party that quite fits my views, so till I do the Dems are the best fit I have)

  • Why you ask? It's because its not my Congressmen that sucks, it's everyone else's. My two cents....... And Seriously, What is your take on Newt Gingrich? This guy quit over ethics violations and thinks he can be President,, either that or he wants a Cabinet Position. He has said he likes Sarah Palin for a VP, another disgraced quitter, and she supports him, of course. I get angry just thinking they can show their face, just two total a-holes that abuse power for Prez.

  • The reason they keep getting elected is because America uses a broken and outdated election system. We currently use First Past the Post which allows for minority rule, and devolves into a 2 party system.

If America were to use something like a Alternative Vote, we wouldn't really have this issue, but then again we won't use AV because then the politicians might actually have to work for their fucking job.

Shall I also mention the obscene Supreme Court ruling that says money=speech?

  • @FrankSinatraComefly Which allows for an obscene amount of minority rule in this country, not to mention the terrible amounts of political corruption?

  • Anybody else want America to decide our elections by gladiator matches? It would be less of a farce than the current race

  • 95% re-election rate? that's what happens when there's electronic voting machines. it makes voting fraud incredibly easy and untraceable.

  • I'd love to see these bimbos go, but I know the American people will continue to vote as they always have. People here are too ignorant to do anything different.

  • (I got cut off) I also come to question if these predetermined candidates are already assured their positions by the powers that be and the whole voting process is just a charade to keep the apes in line.

  • If it were as easy as simply voting them out, we'd have done so already. The problem lies in how bought and paid for our government has become. I vote, I'm actively involved federal and local the voting programs in my community and even do my best stay informed about the issues and candidates. Again, I think the major problem lies in misinformed old people who make up the bulk of our population (mainly brainwashed by religious ideologies and a fear of change). I also come to question if our v

  • We have two choices in America for any position: the guy who will definitely fuck it up even more, and the guy who could possibly fuck it up even more.

  • now i am an american yet most americans are rather stupid. as for myself i won't vote for obama or any of these republicans candidates. the problem is too many people are idiots and buy the bullshit spoon fed to them by these bought and sold candidates. i've been saying for years we need to vote out every one of them.the problem is most americans have a sports fan mentality, they cheer for thier team/party whatever they do....

  • Most Americans are lemmings. They do what others tell them to do. They go with the crowd and rarely ever think for themselves. That's why it's the same election every four years with the same arguments and almost NO original thought. Basically, Americans vote for the best liar.

  • Where Finland actually Fascist or was it because the Soviet Union just up and invaded them... not sure on that can you give me a hand, or am I off to the INTERNET for my answers

  • @MyCaptainPugwash I think Finland teaming up with the f*cking Nazis in WWII was a kind of eccentric mistake, it was just because USSR invaded them and Germany was invading USSR at the same time.

  • @Hynee yeah since listening to this I have been to our favorite friend Dr Wikipedia and yeah looks like they had very little choice in the matter

  • communist!

  • Well, since our voting districts are (for the most part) created by highly partisan processes guaranteed to ensure safe districts for various party members, its not very surprising that politicians get reelected.

Fix gerrymandering and institute meaningful campaign finance reform and you'd see a much higher rate of turnover in both the House and the Senate.

  • It looks to me like the only reason Americans keep re-electing the Congresspeople they hate so much is because they buy into that whole retarded Left-Right paradigm, then as a consequence of thinking of politics on such binary terms, they buy into the 'Lesser of Two Evils' or 'Better the evil I know than the evil I don't' modes of thinking.

But another issue altogether that shouldn't be ignored in American politics that might also be a factor is possible vote fraud.

  • Pekka Haavisto can thank almost all the celebrities who want to be tolerant and to get publicity.I come from a poor family and Niinistö doesn't care about poor people that much although he is a experienced minister, Haavisto would be a better choice from those two. And I hate people who don't vote for Haavisto just because he's a homosexual. However there is one slight problem, the president is a head of the military but Haavisto has only done civil service.A slight conflict but nothing serious.

  • You guys are awesome!

  • In our last elections we managed to vote out the previous government though the majority managed to vote in a party that is pretty much the same as the old governemnt who have now broken just about every campaigne promise they made and our now doing just about the same things as the old government were doing that they themselves opposed doing while in opposition.... and everyone is amazingly surprised by this :P

  • :D best laugh i had in a while :) dont mind the added saturation. XD makes me miss the political satire show that was on yle 1 uhm 5-6 years ago

  • You guys really should have a TV show, in Japan. Hahahah.

  • @mynoon1999 Best. Idea. Ever.

  • The electoral vote has us fucked. Even if most of us vote for a candidate, as long as some people vote for another, and the electoral college backs them, they win.

  • America - >80% christian. +-/30% believe the bible is 100% factual, talking snakes, rib women, bleeding rocks and burning bushes, the whole lot.

Now take two political candidates, both with exact copies of the same agendas and policy, one believes ,one doesn't, no prize for guessing who wins.

  • THe ending was so fucking random XD but i agree with the rest of it :D

  • was the microphone in the other room?

  • ps, hell yeah monty python!

  • Not to show my ignorance, but which Monty Python song has the distance to Finland in it? Id really like to check it out.

  • isnt it wonderful how half the world stops to look at the US election, shows how much influence they have over all of us :(

  • 11% then?

  • I remember meeting AIDzee at the Melbourne gathering. Nice bloke.

  • PS Hello Aidzee :P

  • What would I do without you on Wednesday nights?
