Terrible interview. That girl hasn't got a clue and Phil makes a fool of himself - "Because we want teh", jeezus. I feel sorry for him looking at this - he was too gentle a soul for that kind of world but got sucked into the drugs etc by the hangers on.
@millbrook79 i think it's great how you need to reply with a 'smart' comment as if you've never sworn before and you're above it. What's wrong with swearing? It's just words. They're very useful in situations where anger and annoyance need to be conveyed by using of a couple of abrupt, harsh words. what i didn't do was make any reference to the male genitals which seems so fashionable these days. Go back and hide under your bridge you damn troll
Thin Lizzy are legends! I am so amazed to see a video of Phil Lynott. I really love his lyrics and he is a true poet. Thanks for posting the video. I am truly a Thin Lizzy fan and I grew up in the 70's listening to good old rock n roll. They were the best! I have most of their albums and I love Phil's voice. "The Rocker" of all time!
A time when the music was good to listen to. Now it's only once in a while that I find a fine artist to listen to. Some are swallowed by the machine quite quickly, or never heard of again.
even ocean colour scene have been influenced by lizzy - check out 1000 mile high city - could almost be emerald or chinatown. both simon fowler from ocs & phil are both irish brummies too- phil was born in west bromwich. the darkness and iron maiden are both very obvious bands to have been majorly influenced by thin lizzy. as a guitarist in the early to mid 80s every rock/alternative band i knew and played in were doing lizzy covers - rosalie, jailbreak, boys, cowboy song, killer on the loose...
Like I said bunterx, I'm not a muso, just know what I like hearing, so don't read the mags or get into bands and their influences these days to know bout Kirk, but it's great if some are. To a 40 year old that has heard great music 20/30 years ago, most stuff these days is too crap to be into. And the bands I used to see didn't do covers. They had heaps of great original stuff. Try checking Nothing Sacred, Blackjack, and Taramis. Jon Giles, Blackjack guitarist - one of the best you'd see!
Sorry for the typo in last message. She didn't want to cause hassles, not "didn't she want to"!! Anyway, Phil Lynott will always be my fave, and it still shits me to death that we have to put up with how Hendrix, Morrison, Joplin etc are legends even though they died of drugs, but Phil doesn't get the legend status he deserves because by the time he died, drugs were a dirty word. Because the effects caught up and killed him rather than an OD, he's just another dead druggie to all except us.
i dont agree - phils influence and status in popular music history is widely recognised. His songwriting is admired by musicians of every generation - not just heavy rock too - only in this months total guitar mag kirk windstein of down listed dancing in the moonlight in his top 5 tunes and said lizzy were awesome songwriters.
By musicians yes, but by average rock fans, certainly not. Hendrix, Morrison, and Joplin are in a whole different category and get tons of recognition. Lynott gets his fair share in the UK/Ireland and to a lesser extent Europe, but not much so in America. I tell people I know I like Thin Lizzy, and they give me a weird look and then I say "The Boys are Back in Town" and they are like..."Oh! I've heard that song!" That's the mentality right there.
Same in Australia, which is weird considering watching that Opera House gig. I didn't get into them until the early 90s - too young when they were around. In the last few years though I've felt their popularity grow. Heard them on many a jukebox in Sydney and not just Boys R Back and I think Youtube and their appearance in video games has been very instrumental in their rise. Heard them in a few tv shows as well in the last few years.
Also, re his father and his doing drugs, I haven't read The Rocker by his mum for a while, but I thought it said in there that his father was a married American serviceman over there on duty his mum met but didn't she want to mess up his family when she ended up pregnant and so didn't tell him, and also that when Phil was sick in the very end, he did try to stay off drugs but different roadies and hangers-on would keep bringing them to him without being asked to. Whatever - he is a legend. RIP.
Just read through all the comments here and I'm not a muso so don't get into who's better and all that, I just know what I like hearing. Even though I only really like 2 songs on Chinatown, I don't know how anyone can say they hate it when it has something as great as Genocide on it, both the music and the words. Brilliant song! And that's coming from someone that did grow up in the 70s and 80s when music was better (my school folders were the ones with Phil Lynott posters plastered on them)
Wow, you think that's depression? Looks like cocaine and alcohol to me. I think it's a fantastic interview. What would you rather - boring answers to boring questions?
It's funny to see Phil like this, but in another it's a bit shitty as this is what killed him. And Scott's sniffling like a maniac. You get the feeling the drugs were being stashed just before she walked in...
My Dad is in the crowd at 3:49. My Grandad worked on the lighting and my Dad had the chance to meet Lizzy. He's still got one of Phil's Guitar Picks framed on the wall at home. Lizzy are one of the best bands to have ever been.
He gave up for 3 months before the july before he died.went to see his kids, went back home and fell into some sort of i suppose depression shot up with heroin and kept on using then xmas day his mum came over he was running a bath and because all the drugs ha had taken through out his life had finally caught up with him and he passed out fell into the bath his mum got him out but because he left it so late to go to hospital well his mum took him he had developed pneumonia from being in the bath
He didn't O.D., he died of pneumonia. It caused kidney, liver and eventually heart failure. The drugs weakened his immune system and by the time he got into a hospital it was too late.
I don't think so. From what I've read and seen in interviews, it was pneumonia but mostly caused because of how messed up his body was from the drugs.
Ye i recently saw something that said it was pneumonia. I saw Lizzy last friday in cambridge, apart from a few sound issues and the fact that Sykes squeals a bit too much they were awesome. You should catch a show
I'm seeing them on... crap. I've forgotten. The 17th of December I think. I haven't seen them since 2001/02. It was a while ago. Though I did go to the statue tribute concert. That was pretty good.
Ye i bet, would have like to have seen that. My dad was lucky enough to see the real lizzy loads of times, in the early days when they would finish playing and walk through the crowd with their guitars in their hands, the bastard lol
I hate old people. They get all the best music. You can get the DVD of the night. It's not quite the same but it's still great. I saw the Live and Dangerous DVD today. It took all my self-control not to spend the money I was getting my girlfriend's birthday present with on it.
It was €29.99 in HMV. As far as I know there are five DVDs including the Live and Dangerous one. Live in Sydney, Thunder and Lightning, Live at the BBC 1983, Live and Dangerous and Thin Lizzy in Rockpalast. I think that's the lot but I could be wrong.
Yeah I agree with you, is was good but sound was a problem. Scott seemed to be really quiet and Sykes was too loud. His singing was good though. Did they stick to the Live and Dangerous set when you say them? I was kind of disappointed when they only played one song from post '79.
No they played all sorts, and his voice was pretty good when i saw them too. I saw them supporting Deep Purple about a year ago and he sounded much more like Lynott then, he's obviously more comfortable with the role now.
I saw a documentary that said his immune system was so run down that he had bacteria living in his blood. You have to feel for his poor mother, to see your son rise to such a level because of his talents only to have him taken from you in such a way must have broken her heart. Hopefully Philomena (and his two daughters) can take some comfort that he is still so much respected.
I don't hate Renegade anywhere near as much as Chinatown. I already know that RoryDumbledork and 'Oldenage hate metal and hate anything that doesn't sound like Live and Dangerous or Jailbreak though. I also don't get the "one-eyed" comments...if anyone is "one-eyed" it would be you two. Any opinion other than your own you shoot down...but then get all pissy when people do it to you. What's that called...oh yeah, a hypocrite.
You sound like a dick and THE WORLD'S BIGGEST HYPOCRITE. You slag off others for basically saying what the majority of thin lizzy fans think: that renegade & chinatown are bad. Love Lizzy and Phil, but man they sucked bums after 1980. Blame the drugs, and I also think Phil wasn't right for the 80s - the overblown solos didn't suit his songs. Sykes is a show pony trying to keep with Van Halen, when it wasn't right for Lizzy. Robertson, Moore & Gorham are REAL players.
I will not compare sykes to moore gorham and robertson. They are all very very good guitar players. After listening to Lizzy's albums, Whitesnake's 1987, Blue Murder's 2 albums, and John Sykes' solo albums. I am qualified to contest that statement. I agree that their Snowy White era albums are inferior to their other albums. He's still a great player though.
So because I don't agree with the majority, I'm a dick and a hypocrite. Great point...
My comment toward them, several months ago, was based off not just this, but additional comments that they made. Maybe Sykes wasn't right for Lizzy, but I'm not the type of person that gets bent over a lineup change and dismisses entire albums because they don't have a certain member and follow a slightly different style. That is by definition being "one-eyed" or "narrow-minded".
Why don't 99% of you watch the videos and keep your stupid fucking comments to yourselves? I would wager most of you are not old enough to know what the fuck the 70s-80s were yet you go on as if you know this fellow personally. If I were him and knew this kind of postmortem ass kissing would ensue I would have quit playing and moved to Amsterdam to retire.
......shh, shh, shh, there's a good knobhead....these people like thin lizzy....they wish he was still alive.....what the FUCK is wrong with that? These people (including myself) that are too young (or just missed out) to have seen phil lynott live on stage feel sad to watch him at such a low, when thin lizzy were writing shite (sorry, but i think renegade is shite). We're young....you're old....and that's life.
Hooray! Finally someone on a Lizzy page who shoots down the post 1980 Lizzy. Yep, the albums were crap. Phil was a genius, but the drugs and lifestyle they brought had taken control. It's kinda weird watching him here because he's amusing, but clearly coked up. And we all know where that took him. Sad. But up til 1980 Phil was the best.
Sorry, but I didn't release an album until 2005. And it was great. I also just pulled out Renegade the other day and gave it another go - it still sucks. Only songs that sound great to me are "No One Told Him", "It's Getting Dangerous" & "Fats". Phil's voice sounds fucking terrible on the album. But this is when he was showing up at weird hours and acting like an asshole.
Cool, man. Yeah, me and Phil were drinikin' and smokiin' till about 4 am. Then he recorded a few tracks. Your album in 2005 (which no one heard) sucks.
Yes, you sir are an idiot. Read any interview with ex Lizzy members and they all testify that Phil became a different guy post 80, and his studio commitment was shithouse. That's why Snowy left. Plus you're an extra big idiot for thinking Renegade is a good record. Its Lizzy's lowest point. Stop being so one-eyed, its ok to dislike a record by one of your favorite bands.
Everyone knows John Sikes blows the sissy pants off Snowy White. Everyone except for you. As for sitting holed up on a little virgin bed tucked away somewhere in your parents house and reading page after page of old interviews in back issues of KEEERANG! I say this: No thanks. I'll just listen to the music and leave stuff like that to souless, niggling little "scholars" like yourself.
I was the first one in my hometown to order Snowy's first solo-album in 1983 and I've been a fan of him since that! If I look at this video, I do not wonder why he left the band! On 26.10.2007 I'll see Snowy live again in Germany! Also Snowy still tours with Rger Waters, so I think he knows how to play a guitar, while Lizzy without Phil didn't manage to record one new song!!!
1983's Thunder and Lightning with John Sykes sounded good.
Snowy White didn't fit Thin Lizzy. He a good guitarist in his own right, but I think his work with Thin Lizzy was terrible, compared to Gary, John and even Robbo's work! He was unhappy in the group, there's nothing wrong with that. I think they were too heavy for him.
what do you mean "even Robbo's work"? Are you implying that Robbo was bad? because Robbo was by far and away the best Lizzy guitarist to me, sure Gary Moore gets in the guitar mags but Robbo gets in your soul. Him and Scott were the best!
You can prefer whoever you want, I'm not ragging on Robbo. I love Robbo's work, and I think that Lizzy was most consistent with their "classic" lineup (which included Robbo for those who don't know).
My statement was about Snowy White. I am indeed implying that Robbo was the weaker when compared to Gary Moore and John Sykes. Technically he is definitely weaker, but it all boils down to taste. I prefer Sykes or Moore over Robbo. Most of the Robbo-era work was Gorham/Lynott anyways.
Technique didn't matter in a band like Lizzy, yeah Moore and Sykes were better technicians but Robbo could wail better than them, to me Sykes was too flashy for Lizzy, too many pitched harmonics etc. whereas Robbo had a classic rock sound that suited the band perfectly. Moore was great, but he has never in that long and his heart didn't seem in it always, with the classic line up they were like a gang but with Moore it felt a bit different.
phil was born in birmingham in the u.k but rased mainly in ireland abot 5 mins away from where i live , also lots of his videos are filmed where i live and grew up :)
its hard to watch this the way phil and scott where smacked up. im a huge lizzy fan but it was the heroin that made scott leave and and it took its toll phil, so they did 1 more year knowing they were going to split. Like his mum Philomena said "Love his playing, Love his music but, Please don't Love his lifestyle"
Yeah, but his father's ancestors (parents, grandparents) were from Africa. Read some of the biographies about Phil (My Boy is the best), it's mentioned in those.
It's the same way that Phil is English on paper but is more Irish. He was born in England, Phil's father was born in Brazil but he's African in as many ways as he's Brazilian because of his lineage.
Wow!! To play a set like that after looking so trashed in that interview, takes some talent! Quite obvious phil and scott didnt give a damn in that interview.
He was such a witty motherfucker. Every rocker today is some pretentious cunt going in about politics or rockstickstone fucking dumb. PL was a real renaissance man.
This is why youtube rocks!!!, archival footage of Classic Rock.Thanx for postin it, Waddockhunt. Check out the video for "Sarah", funny ending. The James Joyce of Rock!!!. Australia, we love Lizzy.
It´s hard to see the headstock, but Phil always played a Fender Precision. He said they were "the Mercedes of basses" insomuch as they are like the cabs you see all over the world, really old but still reliable. Hope he´s playing with Rory up there. Long live The Darkest Son of Ireland:)
what the hell is wrong with you people? I already explained that I love black people, and I was just teasing when I called him a nigger, Can't you read?
What a legend!he jus dusnt give a shit!u dont see interviews like that anymore were people jus rip the piss out of shitty interviewers!deadly! He just wanted to have a good time!whats wrong with that?
You dumbasses...I was just saying what his state was during the interview...I don't give a shit what he does, as long as the performances are good. I drink all the time, so I can testify to being drunk and Phil is acting like hes drunk...that's all. I play guitar pretty well when I'm drunk...so I'm sure Phil could do the same.
Taped this from the telly on our brand new vcr but the tape never survived - thanks for posting, Lizzy were the first band I ever saw live, also got to go to the last show in the RDS in Dublin - what a loss to music!
Man, its sad and it hurts when something you've poured you heart and soul into comes to an end. I'd be drunk, too. How do you convey to some brainless perky interview chick all you've gone through to make that band work? And then its over?? And she wants to know how you feel??? What your're going to do???? Jaysus.. If you've ever spent any time playing in bands you know just how Phil must have felt.
Phil was the greatest poet /singer/song writer of Rock and Roll. He was on drugs? ...who gives a Shit, was he drunk? Who cares. He did what genius do and that is destroying themself , why is that you may ask. Well, that is because them gienious can not stand themself.
Man Some of you People trip me out...you Rag on this guy about drugs..Don't you think he knows he screwed up? Does it make him less of a great singer and player..Shit happens! If you put down your holier than thou Joint and give him a little credit..See you are going where he has already been....Long Live Thin Lizzy
"Mother of mercy, is this the end of Rico?" At the end of the 1930 gangster movie "Little Caesar" Edward G Robinson's character Rici lay dying & uttered the very famous line Phil quotes
If he was "smashed" on heroin... he couldnt have stood up... nevermind remember the words or fookin play!! He's just pissed... probably on Tecquila slammers... their fave tipple!
Great !!! thanks 4 sharing. I had the 3 songs taped but not the interview LMMFAO .Phil is pure class ! where was Sykesy? probably practicing his raunchy licks
this is a rare moment...scott gorham talking...i've only ever heard talking him ones before (in person) but this is the first time i've heard him back in the day...amazing

He didn't O.D., he died of pneumonia. It caused kidney, liver and eventually heart failure. The drugs weakened his immune system and by the time he got into a hospital it was too late.

Again, good call. You really know your stuff.

iloveryan313 4 years ago
I heard it was one of the forms of hepatitis
daninacm 4 years ago
I don't think so. From what I've read and seen in interviews, it was pneumonia but mostly caused because of how messed up his body was from the drugs.
Thin182 4 years ago
Ye i recently saw something that said it was pneumonia. I saw Lizzy last friday in cambridge, apart from a few sound issues and the fact that Sykes squeals a bit too much they were awesome. You should catch a show
daninacm 4 years ago
I'm seeing them on... crap. I've forgotten. The 17th of December I think. I haven't seen them since 2001/02. It was a while ago. Though I did go to the statue tribute concert. That was pretty good.
Thin182 4 years ago
Ye i bet, would have like to have seen that. My dad was lucky enough to see the real lizzy loads of times, in the early days when they would finish playing and walk through the crowd with their guitars in their hands, the bastard lol
daninacm 4 years ago
I hate old people. They get all the best music. You can get the DVD of the night. It's not quite the same but it's still great. I saw the Live and Dangerous DVD today. It took all my self-control not to spend the money I was getting my girlfriend's birthday present with on it.
Thin182 4 years ago
I bet lol. Where did you get it from and how much?? Would love to get it, how many dvds are there of performances, do you know?
daninacm 4 years ago
It was €29.99 in HMV. As far as I know there are five DVDs including the Live and Dangerous one. Live in Sydney, Thunder and Lightning, Live at the BBC 1983, Live and Dangerous and Thin Lizzy in Rockpalast. I think that's the lot but I could be wrong.
Thin182 4 years ago
Oh, and there's the Gary Moore and Friends DVD which is the statue concert but I don't know if you can count that one.
Thin182 4 years ago
Yeah I agree with you, is was good but sound was a problem. Scott seemed to be really quiet and Sykes was too loud. His singing was good though. Did they stick to the Live and Dangerous set when you say them? I was kind of disappointed when they only played one song from post '79.
Thin182 4 years ago
No they played all sorts, and his voice was pretty good when i saw them too. I saw them supporting Deep Purple about a year ago and he sounded much more like Lynott then, he's obviously more comfortable with the role now.
daninacm 4 years ago

What's that called...oh yeah, a hypocrite.
blacksabfan 4 years ago
You sound like a dick and THE WORLD'S BIGGEST HYPOCRITE. You slag off others for basically saying what the majority of thin lizzy fans think: that renegade & chinatown are bad. Love Lizzy and Phil, but man they sucked bums after 1980. Blame the drugs, and I also think Phil wasn't right for the 80s - the overblown solos didn't suit his songs. Sykes is a show pony trying to keep with Van Halen, when it wasn't right for Lizzy. Robertson, Moore & Gorham are REAL players.
liberatedcitizens 4 years ago 5
I will not compare sykes to moore gorham and robertson. They are all very very good guitar players. After listening to Lizzy's albums, Whitesnake's 1987, Blue Murder's 2 albums, and John Sykes' solo albums. I am qualified to contest that statement. I agree that their Snowy White era albums are inferior to their other albums. He's still a great player though.
jlevyx 4 years ago
So because I don't agree with the majority, I'm a dick and a hypocrite. Great point...
My comment toward them, several months ago, was based off not just this, but additional comments that they made. Maybe Sykes wasn't right for Lizzy, but I'm not the type of person that gets bent over a lineup change and dismisses entire albums because they don't have a certain member and follow a slightly different style. That is by definition being "one-eyed" or "narrow-minded".

Yeah, his dad was black, so what? And being a Dub (from Dublin) and all, its only natural he'd have an Irish accent :P
Anyway, cool video. Looks like they've been hitting the Arthur Scargill already! lol
DangerousBastard 4 years ago
Why don't 99% of you watch the videos and keep your stupid fucking comments to yourselves? I would wager most of you are not old enough to know what the fuck the 70s-80s were yet you go on as if you know this fellow personally. If I were him and knew this kind of postmortem ass kissing would ensue I would have quit playing and moved to Amsterdam to retire.
alwaysopen 4 years ago
......shh, shh, shh, there's a good knobhead....these people like thin lizzy....they wish he was still alive.....what the FUCK is wrong with that? These people (including myself) that are too young (or just missed out) to have seen phil lynott live on stage feel sad to watch him at such a low, when thin lizzy were writing shite (sorry, but i think renegade is shite). We're young....you're old....and that's life.
fuckamericanidiot 4 years ago
RoryDupledorf 4 years ago
Well, I like Renegade and that came out in 1981, so I guess I'm an idiot. Hooray! But out of curiosity, what did YOUR albums sound like after 1980?
jwhiteout 4 years ago
Sorry, but I didn't release an album until 2005. And it was great. I also just pulled out Renegade the other day and gave it another go - it still sucks. Only songs that sound great to me are "No One Told Him", "It's Getting Dangerous" & "Fats". Phil's voice sounds fucking terrible on the album. But this is when he was showing up at weird hours and acting like an asshole.
RoryDupledorf 4 years ago
Cool, man. Yeah, me and Phil were drinikin' and smokiin' till about 4 am. Then he recorded a few tracks. Your album in 2005 (which no one heard) sucks.
jwhiteout 4 years ago
Yes, you sir are an idiot. Read any interview with ex Lizzy members and they all testify that Phil became a different guy post 80, and his studio commitment was shithouse. That's why Snowy left. Plus you're an extra big idiot for thinking Renegade is a good record. Its Lizzy's lowest point. Stop being so one-eyed, its ok to dislike a record by one of your favorite bands.
thegoldenage 4 years ago
Everyone knows John Sikes blows the sissy pants off Snowy White. Everyone except for you. As for sitting holed up on a little virgin bed tucked away somewhere in your parents house and reading page after page of old interviews in back issues of KEEERANG! I say this: No thanks. I'll just listen to the music and leave stuff like that to souless, niggling little "scholars" like yourself.
jwhiteout 4 years ago
Believe it or not!
EricFanIngo 4 years ago
Sorry. Didn't mean to offend you. It's okay that you like Snowy White.
jwhiteout 4 years ago
Hooray!
jwhiteout 4 years ago
1983's Thunder and Lightning with John Sykes sounded good.
Snowy White didn't fit Thin Lizzy. He a good guitarist in his own right, but I think his work with Thin Lizzy was terrible, compared to Gary, John and even Robbo's work! He was unhappy in the group, there's nothing wrong with that. I think they were too heavy for him.
jlevyx 3 years ago
what do you mean "even Robbo's work"? Are you implying that Robbo was bad? because Robbo was by far and away the best Lizzy guitarist to me, sure Gary Moore gets in the guitar mags but Robbo gets in your soul. Him and Scott were the best!
VictimofAtkins 3 years ago
You can prefer whoever you want, I'm not ragging on Robbo. I love Robbo's work, and I think that Lizzy was most consistent with their "classic" lineup (which included Robbo for those who don't know).
My statement was about Snowy White. I am indeed implying that Robbo was the weaker when compared to Gary Moore and John Sykes. Technically he is definitely weaker, but it all boils down to taste. I prefer Sykes or Moore over Robbo. Most of the Robbo-era work was Gorham/Lynott anyways.
jlevyx 3 years ago
Technique didn't matter in a band like Lizzy, yeah Moore and Sykes were better technicians but Robbo could wail better than them, to me Sykes was too flashy for Lizzy, too many pitched harmonics etc. whereas Robbo had a classic rock sound that suited the band perfectly. Moore was great, but he has never in that long and his heart didn't seem in it always, with the classic line up they were like a gang but with Moore it felt a bit different.
VictimofAtkins 3 years ago
exactly, just always seemed like he was on his own or something, never fully commited
inventlotus 3 years ago
I completely agree. Robertson was fucking sick especially his use of the wah pedal
on a different note Brian Downey is one of the most underrated drummers ever

its hard to watch this the way phil and scott where smacked up. im a huge lizzy fan but it was the heroin that made scott leave and and it took its toll phil, so they did 1 more year knowing they were going to split. Like his mum Philomena said "Love his playing, Love his music but, Please don't Love his lifestyle"

Does he have a little african in him, since the brownish skin. Not to be rude?
DetoxNow 4 years ago
Not rude at all...but also not correct; he comes from an Irish mother and Brazilian father.
mbrisonyoutube 4 years ago
His father was of African decent.
Thin182 4 years ago
No, His father was from Brazil. His mother was Irish.
mqjoyce 4 years ago
Yeah, but his father's ancestors (parents, grandparents) were from Africa. Read some of the biographies about Phil (My Boy is the best), it's mentioned in those.
It's the same way that Phil is English on paper but is more Irish. He was born in England, Phil's father was born in Brazil but he's African in as many ways as he's Brazilian because of his lineage.

You dumbasses...I was just saying what his state was during the interview...I don't give a shit what he does, as long as the performances are good. I drink all the time, so I can testify to being drunk and Phil is acting like hes drunk...that's all. I play guitar pretty well when I'm drunk...so I'm sure Phil could do the same.
blacksabfan 4 years ago
Taped this from the telly on our brand new vcr but the tape never survived - thanks for posting, Lizzy were the first band I ever saw live, also got to go to the last show in the RDS in Dublin - what a loss to music!
sumaes17 5 years ago
Man, its sad and it hurts when something you've poured you heart and soul into comes to an end. I'd be drunk, too. How do you convey to some brainless perky interview chick all you've gone through to make that band work? And then its over?? And she wants to know how you feel??? What your're going to do???? Jaysus.. If you've ever spent any time playing in bands you know just how Phil must have felt.
mrktwn 5 years ago
Phil was the greatest poet /singer/song writer of Rock and Roll. He was on drugs? ...who gives a Shit, was he drunk? Who cares. He did what genius do and that is destroying themself , why is that you may ask. Well, that is because them gienious can not stand themself.
Long Live Phil and Thin Lizzy!!!
