This has to be the most telling interview I've ever seen. Tom Braden and Pat Buchanan in particular continually do all they can to verbally discredit Dr.Caldicott's scientifically plausible concept of male ego involved in the arms race. And both,to me anyway wind up inadvertently proving her points. Especially with their seemingly coy embarrassment. Pat even commented on the nature of this "family program". Fascinating!

Labeling something as "Liberal" or "Right-Wing" or "Left-Wing" or whatever and brushing it off is not wise in any case. True, no one will ever agree with anyone else 100% on everything, but you have to agree with a lot of what she says. I still do- but I would say that I don't know how anyone expected a "Freeze" to work in reality- in theory, it sounds great, but once you factor in human behavior it is bound to fail (kinda what she said).

The "nuclear freeze" may have been the single dumbest and most naive proposal of the entire liberal era. And that's saying something.
