If anyone remember the old game review/preview show Electric Playground (Who the great Tommy Tallarico was a host before), and listen during the 4th or 5th season I believe, you will hear this track play
Saturns sounds more live, we already know why in comparison with the other systems, but strangely, I like the Snes version of this song better, the flow of the song feels interrupted in this version from the snyth sound in the beginning when it starts with the guitar in this version, in the Snes version it carries the synth longer and flows well to me, the guitar over shadows the rest of the song when it kicks in, Snes ver seems more balanced, Snyth wise. But this one is still cool even though.
I grew up with having Jim 1 on the SEGA, and 2 on the SNES. I prefer EVERYTHING that way. While yes, this is awesome, I still prefer the SNES version.
@cameony Definetly, although the SNES had a more powerful sound system, Sega always had cool sounding songs (This being more Technoish SNES being more rock n rollish) and more powerful VRAM systems
@Herman0709 yeah i know that but like i say that game sucks (yes,i played it) and isn't me only you know? look the Reviews from different videogame pages...
@chinoeze26 yep, i know that game, i played on a emulator (because i didin't got that game yet) and is middle good and middle bad, so i give to the game a 5/10.
This version is awesome. I didn't even know it was on Saturn. Then again I barely know any Saturn games. It died so quick. I think my favourite version of this song is the PC version
To be honest I can't decide which is better; This or the SNES version. It's like the case with the first game; Genesis or Sega CD. Both are just so AWESOME.
@SonicTheJackrabbit I agree with you. I always felt, personally, that the SNES had superior music, but this version of "Anything But Tangerines" is definitely the best in my opinion.
I absolutely loved the Earthworm Jim series when I first played the games on my SNES, it's too bad that he isn't still around in video games besides an excessive amount of ports, remakes, and cancelled games.
@WakeAsGun Jury's out on 2, but 1 was definitely made for the Megadrive first and foremost. I remember a huge, HUGE preview for the game in Sega Visions. I'm sure Sega was bummed when it went multi-port, but the publishers (probably Playmates) saw where the money was.

Interesting version, but I never pictured these tunes with guitar in them. Sounds kinda cheesy late 80s rock to me.

it aint a remix.
just the original version before it was ported to the SNES/Genesis(MegaDrive)
OhNoNotMyPenis 11 months ago 5
@OhNoNotMyPenis I'm pretty sure the MegaDrive releases for both EWJ 1 and 2 were the original games. The PC versions were the ports/updates.
