since I just viewed a Sears spot from one year before this -- I can pinpoint when they changed logos.. now, if I can just figure out what they are doing now with this new lower case lettering I've been seeing lately.
@nomadcowatbk Back in the day my dad did business with a now defunct Kmart location and before that Woolco; somewhere things went wrong, because it wasn't always that way.
@clarkbell I mean big box retailers like Sears aren't running even halfway decent auto centers anymore, and really they're about the only one's left (not even Wal-Mart comes close). Kmart sold to Penske, which later closed; Montgomery Ward and Woolco are no longer with us, and I can't even say for sure whether or not they were decent shops in their day.
That's not a Reliant that's an Aries...sorry that was for my brother in law. You're right, they will mess your car up like no one's business...too bad my mom hasn't figured that out yet...she's more concerned about saving 5 cents on gas instead of the several hundred going somewhere else.
Shit. Last July I had to get brakes done on my car. It was at 55k miles when the first repair was done. 3 weeks later at 55 and half I had to take it in for a warranty repair. In October with 56k I had to take it back again for warranty repair. Less than 2 months ago it was back for the 3rd time UNDER WARRANTY. WTF? And it still is acting up now. You nailed it dude, they don't know shit now.
It has to do with the money they have to hire technicians, which is predicated on what they earn from the sales floor. It's a bad situation all the way around. I would NEVER recommend anybody taking their car to Sears except for possibly a battery replacement. I wouldn't even recommend buying tires or shocks there, which a lot of people do.
Did they tape this ad behind a double mirror? What's with the never ending bays???

Unfortunately the jingle appears to be ripped off of a Sesame Street tune "La La La."

His shirt sure is clean for a mechanic.

I think that was the idea. Besides I think he was more of a manager or advisor; the guys in blue were doing all of the work.

How true...that's why retailers should stick to blouses, not brakes.

@harley145000
they don't fix them, Craftsman wheel barrows have a lifetime guarantee, they just replace them and throw the broke one in the trash
