The only thing that bummed me out was the father son relationship. At first the movie was about being who you are and to follow your dream. And then the father stands around moping in his shop giving his son a dissaproval look, the movie completely turns around and follows the exact opposite direction. It makes me wonder if Flint will work in his fathers shop after all, and give up on being an scientist. I find it an weird ending.

I was going to the movies for a hangout with some friends. I small get together. We intended to watch "Whip It" but some girls came later than they were supposed to so we ended up watching the only movie nearest to starting. "Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs". I admit, the movie was alot better than I expected it to be which was a stupid kiddy movie that was just as boring as the book. Immature humor, bad theme and that sort of thing. Well, the movie was okay. Definitely NOT a favorite though.

I know it doesn't look bad but I've seen it in IMAX twice which makes a total of $30 spent on that movie! It is totally hilarious, do not judge it by the trailer, it's funnier than The Hangover, Year One, The Goods and Funny People combined, you will laugh yourself silly at this movie!!

I'm wondering, if people are looking at this movie. The animation style is fliud, but simple, to me. The characters expressions seem too... I don't know, odd. "We're being attacked by flying PIZZA?!"... It just seemed to... wierd. I'm waiting to see a good kids movie that follows the book the best it can with good writing, acting, and, if so, animation. The Lightning Theif and Cirque Du Freak have cought my interest, so far. I'm hoping they don't rape the stories like Cat In The Hat.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs was actually really enjoyable. I expected a rental, but it was actually very enjoyable. I don't feel it ruins the book either as it actually explains where the odd weather comes from. The only thing they really changed was the ending. And if you look deep enough, this movie has a lot of themes. They're not exactly direct, but they're present. There's "Be proud of who you are", "Too much of a good thing can be bad" and "Family first" just to name a few.

The worst, in my view, would have to be Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Wasn't overly impressed with this film. It was kind of built around the 3D effect, don't you think? Story was a little weak.

As for book-adaption-gone-bad? Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. That was PAINFUL.

Polar Express, hands down, was possibly the best childrens movie adaptation I've ever seen.

I think that this movie is kind of a disgrace to the original works...but...well....I might see it. I loved that book.

Universal spoiled, raped, and beat the crap out of Cat in the Hat to a bloody pulp in 2003! The acting was horrible, the set design was just too fruity, the jokes were stupid to adults and inappropriate for kids, and the writing was just downright idiotic! The Grinch was alright, but Cat in the Hat is one of the worst films in existence!
