Hmm, I am Caucasian but grew up in Oklahoma where there is a large Indian population. I see the destruction of the earth by companies, corporations and greedy men who wish a life of luxury stepping on anyone in their way. I feel that as a country considering all that we have aquired technologically and through religion, we do need to look back at WHO settled here first and the kind of spirituality they gave life to. They gave to the land, to themselves and to the life around them(animals,plants etc). I feel that as a country considering all that we have aquired technologically and through religion, we do need to look back at WHO settled here first and the kind of spirituality they gave life to. They gave to the land, to themselves and to the life around them(animals,plants etc). It would not hurt us to go back to our roots but unfortunately, people do not understand the essence of the nature of American Indian cultures and ways.

Your people have EVERY RIGHT to STILL be pissed off. I've seen how the government still treats your people in videos and stuff. I saw this one where they were turning off people's electric with winter storms coming because they couldn't pay their bill, and some of these bills were small. They don't do that with us whites, but they were doing it with native peoples. I thought that was really messed up and it really pissed me off. It's all about having a good heart to me no matter what your race.

@smokeingun27 the ways of the people are sacred, to share them with others is a good thing, but this thing requires great trust. The way is a hard way. Ones spirit must be strong and pure, the mind must be open and true, the heart must be honest, and the ego must be small.

@lakota246 Lakota, I can that you have a very strong spirit--a very needed thing for this time on our planet. And yes, we must move forward and keep Native American culture alive, in America. It's so important, for so many of us have American Indian in our blood, myself included.

@AlmaLindsay yeah a lot of people share the native american blood, every minority has had its terrible times, i mean look at what was done to blacks and women, but it is time for us to look beyond that because those who truely follow the path of our native american ancestors wouldnt speak like most of the commentors
