I'm proud of my lakota ancestry. my great grandmother was full blood lakota and had to cope with the pain of being kidnapped from her family when she was five and adopted into a white family. the tears that roll down my face from this song go out to all lakota who have suffered grief and loss.

  • Thank you for the beautiful music and prayers! They say I am white, but in my heart and soul I am Native. I believe in the spiritual being that belongs to the children of the creator. If the land still beloged to the NA, it would still be a beautiful place and there would not be the racism that exists today.

All people need to remember one thing...United We Stand , Divide We Fall...Oneness!

  • I Miss you so much. This for you Baby. I pray for you all the time.

  • i truly hope that native people will find strength to endure and that they will outlive us, the white men, who are running into disaster. we tried to spread "humanity" all over the world, but we never taught ourselves how to be human. you must endure is humanity is to have any future worth living.

  • le imawaste...

    beautiful...

peace to all native americans from your turkish and uyghur brothers! (we have the same roots as you)

it is so sad that the white man has raped your land and killed your children with disease and deception... and nothing has been done...

You should take your land back! Liberate america from those caucasian white-devils! They are the reason for almost all war and sickness in the world!

    asselam alaykum!

    wolakhota ta niyecika!

    peace be upon you all!

  • many moon come choctaw!

  • Hmm, I am Caucasian but grew up in Oklahoma where there is a large Indian population. I see the destruction of the earth by companies, corporations and greedy men who wish a life of luxury stepping on anyone in their way. The Lakota ways bring meaning to me and I am in the process of learning about them.

  • thats awesome......i love it...and respect and honoring all indians and i love my indian boyfriend ..hes the best

  • this message goes out to all native people of america may the spirt bless you ever it was the evil doers of this world who tried to destroy your way of life always keep your traditions a live since your culture so rich when i was kid i would watch cowboy and indian movies i root for the cowboys but truth always prevails

  • @dmarko21 i like yr comment...but i never ever ever rooted for the cowboys.!!

the only cowboy i ever rooted for was clint eastwood, & no indians in his movies, rarely, & when they are, he treat them wi. respect. like in little big man, the indians were gorgeous & genius.....

  • Great Respect for the American Native Indians...you are so much like my tribal people here in New Zealand. Blessings to you all.

  • @whattheheckevr who did what to themselves?

  • Many of the comments on here are rich in understanding, This should be seen as a great sign.

  • we didnt own the land the land owned us we traveld with the buffalo and took only what we needed now days we take way more than we need we need to let the great white spirit guide us and teach us to live in unity again every one the animals the birds the fish the bugs and mother nature itself (sorry for grammer im only 14)

  • Oki Napi My distant friend

  • My friend Frank Little Wolf you think I have forsaken you.Let this go with the wind to you and yours Your red blanket is still my treasure as are you

  • your video is too fast to read the messages..............I would love to read and listen...but maybe thats not the point..............

  • @lakota246 can you show me how to write/say wolf tracks in Lakota?

  • I feel that as a country considering all that we have aquired technologically and through religion, we do need to look back at WHO settled here first and the kind of spirituality they gave life to. They gave to the land, to themselves and to the life around them(animals, plants etc). It would not hurt us to go back to our roots but unfortunately, people do not understand the essence of the nature of American Indian cultures and ways.

  • Ty hun im glad you liked and yes feel to email me my name is fran my addy is fran3174@Hotmail.com would love to hear from you bye for now fran

  • my sons lakota and im mexican. Im torn between wanting to move him off the res and over to where i live or letting him stay there and learn his peoples ways.

  • @pastor2wes

  • @alihr787

The US has 3 Blackfoot tribes. Blackfoot Saponi of North Carolina. The Blackfoot Sioux of Cheyenne River South Dakota. And The Blackfoot of Montana.

  • The humankind could learn from history, more we have never managed to see anything beyond the material way. We could learn to not judge, now that we all fails sometime, to feel deep respect for all life, that way our own life will receive the same, to live in peace, so no one should lose a son, brother, sister, mother ... It's never too late for doing good. It's never to late to bring peace to your own heart. Start with yourself and you'll see the seed grow in others hearts too. Blessings.

  • i love being Lakota!!!

  • Oh Wakan Tonka in the sky,we lift our hands to you.

  • nobody knows what is right and what is wrong.

    earth call for human blood

we search light among all human thoughts

    among all human creation

great spirit is showing the way

  • im related to the lakota

  • our earth will allways come back to her balance this we can trust she will return her lands to her children very soon......

  • The white european fools have terrorised and are terrorising the country, the animals, the people, the rivers.

Wolf extinct, bear extinct, native culture raped, land stolen.

These faggots are spreading now " democrazy" in the world.

    With guns and bombs ofcourse.

  • @Cuvac My friend, do not hate all those of European blood. I, a white man, am also in love with Nature and all it offers. It appalls me how many people treat it with disrespect.

  • @ShadowMaster9009

i agree, i am a white European myself....

    But still..... :(

  • I had to favor this on eit has so many blessings I just love .5/5*****

  • i am appalled at the history of the white people towards the Indian nations, makes me want to not be white, just wish i could meet with the elders and make a plan to repay all we have taken from them

  • i love these people

  • They will never can take your spirit and your great thankfull heart!Indians God Bless you!!

  • the white people took their country and call THEM terrorists??

  • @poshnile

See this is why I don't like being white. *headdesk* We're all blamed for the actions of a few idiots in the present and a shitload in the past.

  • @poshnile no they are filthy dirty savages, less then human. They should of all been exterminated like the wild pigs they are.

  • @amberdavis679 may the great spirit show you the light in your heart, ease your pain and torment for the hell you've had in your life. May he extend his hands to you and take and hold you... many blessings..Cloud,ugh.

  • @davidwhitecloud thank you cloud

  • @poshnile Although you maybe not hear it in america, but here in the middle east, we LOVE native americans! technicly you are brothers (because of traces of ancient persian/turkish/uyghur roots in central asia) and you have gone through almost the SAME exact injustice that the palestinians are facing today! Whitey crackers take NA land, call them "savages" for having spirituality, and israelis call muslim "terrorist" for not moving from our land.. just look up Gaza: the killing zone!

  • @blackeagle989444 Actually they found that the iroquois tribes have a genetic sequence that isn't found elswhere on the planet which indicates that our ancestrial origins are somewhere in the americas and the simiarities found in asia originally came from ancient native americans traveling out of the americas. check multiregional hypothesis. more evidence is be found everyday. I agree though, we have suffered the same way by the same hand! Unity is the best weapon against oppression!

  • @tyrellasaurusrex great

  • Spirit of the Wolf and Thunder Beings... that really touched my heart in a way that I cannot express... thank you, Jdmlovr

  • We fought terrorism so much...they call us the terrorist's...just try'n to keep you doin your job...

  • I just found out I have Lakota blood flowing through my viens, although very little I still feel a connection, My great Grandmother was Half Lakota, I was adopted so never knew , Beauiful people absolutley beaufiful

  • Cool. My grandparents are cherokee. If it wasn't for my polish dad, and my grandma's irish dad, i'd be full blooded Cherokee.

  • You people are BEAUTIFUL :)

  • fighting terrorism since 1492 :D

  • lol

  • Beautiful.

    Lisa from Munich

  • If ye see no reason for giving thanks.......then the fault lies within yourself :) Yes

  • beatiful simply beautiful this sends a message that white people were once too stupid to reconize, Why It is just sickining what many people did and still do. may the great spirit be with you all.

  • I love you all Native people !!! what i've seen in this video touch me deep into this heart the great spirit gave to me ...keep on keepin' with pride !! Thanks for sharing.Aho !

  • please rate my comment

  • lancedakotawhitehors, you must learn to govern your passion or it will lead to your undoing! Do not hate your brothers and sisters who blend in with today's society, I am sure their hearts remain true. In order to survive the camillion has to change but he is no less of a camillion. The Lakota Nation will rise again but in small steps and peacefully, it is after all survivors are who we are!

  • how can you say to rise the peacefull way. have you forgotten in all the broken treaties that resulted in thousands of native american deaths. and would would rather die than to survive like t he white man and be true to him after all what hes has done to our people. why is your heart happy my heart is black and i fucking beat every white boys ass who crsses my path. i lead the way of a warrior. it was natives like you who would sign traties that lead to our downfall.

    mutakuaye oyasin

  • lancedakotawhitehors, I never said my heart was happy, but my heart is true. I have not forgotten the autracites of the past. As long as I breath I am there for my nation. I am leerie of signing anything, I have not forgotten the past! The one thing that does make me happy and proud is that I am not Indian (was not born in India), I am not Native American (a politically correct term), I am LAKOTA and I will let no one every forget!

  • oh stop that! Grow up for God's sake. How silly.

  • if all the tribes joined as one hte fucking white bitches would be no more and i hate all the fucking natives who say naitve and shit but have short hair and are christian it dont matter if your parents are christian do what is right and serve your poeple and wanaka takan like our ancester did. times may have changed but our reilgion has not.

hold good through the lokota ways and walk the red road and fight the good fight

    mutakuaye oyasin

  • You should be ashamed, tryin to spread hate like that!!! I am white, but I surely do NOT support what white man has done to the natives. But a true native american, I don't believe wants to spread hate like this. You make your people look lik savages who just want to kill. and that it by far not the truth..so you should just shut up!!!

  • i am hostile. i am hungry for the white mans blood. i am brutal and firece. you say i spread hate but i speak the truth. look how all you wannabes are talkin man. all old fashion trying to spiritual and shit. fuck if you wanna be spiritaul then fucking do it right. grow your hair long and pray to wankan tanka. pray to crayhorse mother earth and the four directions. i am one of the last families out there who worship the great spirit. so fuck off whiteboy. what the hell r you doibng here anyway!

  • First of all..what makes you think Im a boy...Im not. I am woman. I have long hair..and what makes you think I don not pray to the Great Spirit. And you are a Warmonger....I spread love..not hate, I do not hate. Now grow up!!

  • I see where you are coming from but as a white person it is not your place to scold him. He is hurt because what your race did to his forefathers. It sounds unfair yes, but it will not put him back on the right path to attack him. Talk about spreading hate, mentioning savages. This is what the white man is best at. He humiliate us until we overreact and then he calls us savages when we lash out. Practice what you preach, peacemaker, and yes, I am a Native American!

  • Your people have EVERY RIGHT to STILL be pissed off. I've seen how the government still treats your people in videos and stuff. I saw this one where they were turning off people's electric with winter storms coming because they couldn't pay their bill, and some of these bills were small. They don't do that with us whites, but they were doing it with native peoples. I thought that was really messed up and it really pissed me off. It's all about having a good heart to me no matter what your race.

  • @CelticWarrior1971 to bad people, the wasicu's, the exisisting government, would have your opinion and point of view, then maybe we wouldn't be a dying race . . .

  • @slolalwaysni: Yeah, I hear ya.

  • @slolalwaysni: Just curious, are you Lakota?

  • @CelticWarrior1971 To CelticWarrior1971 I Do NOt Speak For Native Americans.I Have Been Ignorant As To What I Have Been Taught By The United States.I Am Sorry If I Disgraced The Native American People By Anything I Have Said On Here And Other Sites. I Am Just Trying To Learn Is All And I Have Learned But Always Need To Learn More. Peace

  • @whattheheckevr: We ALL can ALWAYS learn more, NO ONE knows EVERYTHING, even though some people are so arrogant they like to think they know more than everyone else. I think if a person realizes that they know little and can always learn a lot more, then they are on the right path that leads to true wisdom. Peace.

  • @CelticWarrior1971 To CelticWarrior1971 yeah that is true. Thanks. ~Peace

  • @CelticWarrior1971 and remember the horrifically high teen suicide rate of native children, and adults. At Pineridge South Dakota. This Nations worst example of poverty. support Native American education

  • @CelticWarrior1971 yep...dis century is all i dont knw...just want to go back in time...y we r not good to nature and other people?...only what u heare is...stilling...killing...and all rubish like that..love native american culture...wish i can live far far away from citys Tescos and all d anger and hates what people have in side.....

srry for my English dont speak too well..just learning...

  • @CelticWarrior1971 yep...dis century is all i dont knw...just want to go back in time...y we r not good to nature and other people?...only what u heare is...stilling...killing...and all rubish like that..love native american culture...wish i can live far far away from citys Tescos and all d anger and hates what people have in side.......

srry for my English dont speak too well..just learning...

  • @CelticWarrior1971 Shoot that happens around here in hot of the summer and cold of the winter and it's sad & no it's not Indian people it's all people but, some were made to turn it all back on this past summer because people were dying from the heat so, that happens every where

  • @CelticWarrior1971 HEYYY IM NATIVE AMERICAN AND LIKE I DONT BELEIVE IT WAS RIGHT WHAT THEY DID TO US...BUT ITS LIFE. WE ARE HUMANS. BUT THERE IS ONE DIFFERENT. WE ARE WILLING TO FORGIVE THE ONES WHO DOES US WRONG. I CANT HOLD GRUDGES ON PEOPLE BECAUSE IM WILLING TO CARE ABOUT PEOPLE EVEN IF THEY DONT CARE FOR ME =)

  • @kirstenmanring: Then you are as beautiful inside as you obviously are outside and are capable of what I am not, which is to care for those who do not care for me. I understand forgiveness and peace, but only with those who truly seek it, but for those whom are hostile, I meet them with hostility in return. Like your people were called savages and I am like why? They were defending their homes, land, and way of life against those trying to destroy these things, who wouldn't do the same?

  • @kirstenmanring haha are u full Native or half? Mix?

  • Comment removed

  • @BRANDONDAPOWNER16

    Im About 3/4

  • @CelticWarrior1971 Very well said. I am white as well, but it upsets me to see our race is the cause of these racial barriers that shouldn't have been set up between the Native Americans, Blacks, etc. We are ALL God's children, no matter what race.

  • @griffinification Not all white men are this way. Just as it is wrong to class Natives as savages, it is also wrong to class Whites as monsters, or instigators of violence and hate.

  • @ShadowMaster9009 Yes... it is wrong. but we would not class you that way without cause. Same as you (today) would not class us that way. Then, the wasichu were afraid of difference and believed it all had to be their way. that is why we became "savages." They still look at me with disrespect because I am different. So honestly, can you blame us for not trusting your kind? In all reality, most of the wasichu are despicable. Very few have good hearts.

  • @Hatsuharu413: I can understand being wary of an individual who is a member of a race in which the majority of that race has done great harm to yours, until that individual has proven they do not have an evil heart and are not an enemy, but rather that they have a good heart and are a friend. Continued.

  • @CelticWarrior1971: This is common sense to do this, but politically correct bullshit tries to stamp this common sense out. If through your observation most of a race is bad, it only makes sense to be wary of ANY of them until they have shown they are not one of the bad ones. I do the same thing with blacks, because I have noticed through my observations of them that a LOT of them are aggressive criminalistic thugs, and I am not being a racist, just honest in what my observation tells me. Peace.

  • HAAY !

I Thought this was a Lakota Prayer?

    and Pa.?

  • It cut out 1 min 30 or so into it, but it's still pretty

  • This video was unbelieveable we loved it

  • google the words.......nathan chasinghorse scribd

  • a wonderfull video and music too thanks for sharing with me aho

  • WASICULA EKTA LILA WACIYE PICASNI.

  • could you please send me the words of the prayer? and the translation if it's not too much?

  • even tho i aint a Lakota-Sioux, i'm a Nakota/Dakota sioux. theres not much nakotas out there anymore. my tribe is a dying breed nd culture. since the lakota/dakota/ nakota were once one tribe. very very similar. so imma try learn as much sioux as i can.

  • OMG that is so kwl. im Lakota decent an live in England, so getting stuff on my ppl is hard. ty 4 putting this on. thumbs up XD

  • I have a lakota dictionary, i goted athe local Sioux Nation shopping market but i lost it,........I gotta get a new one

  • anyone kowns how lakota people say "peace"?

  • this song when i close my eyes makes me cry and wish things were different... im am lakota and i wish we could take back OUR land and fight to protect it. I would do anything for our people.. i sware on the great spirit i would die for our land!!

  • Take the land back with Russel Means.

I don't know how he is regarded by the Nation, but on my side of the Atlantic Ocean, he seems to do the right thing.

  • I am a Native American in the military, U.S. Coast Guard. I am Sioux n' Cherokee, how that happened, unsure. Possibly from the Trail of Tears. I just want to say I love my heritage n' hope to expose my 1yr old daughter to the culture that my mother once raised me near & dear to my heart. God Bless

  • aaah....en yt ymmärtäny mitään:D

  • 100 rates YOOHOO!!!

  • Sleep easy children......for the Great Spirit is kind................and speaks softly to everyone.

  • I AM A DAKOTA THIS HAS HELPED ME

  • The wounds of war are carried in the ways that the warmongerers thought patterns continue to distort our own perceptions of our Sacred selves borderless, boundless and limitless as we are as Sacred beings. When we define ourselves through the lens of the external predator Manitou is left in the shadows. Mauri Oho! Lifeforce consciousness! Gather me to your heart once more and scatter my sorrows to the four directions that I am purified and renewed! Love unconditiond by past hurt IS justice.

  • Mitakuye Oyasin my brothers. As a white man I am forever greatful for being allowed to learn a better way of life. I go and pray in a inipi with my red brothers and we are the same. Peace Peace Peace my brothers. There are many of us who are lost. Please teach. Please teach.

  • Beuatiful prayers and music.

  • apcheCHRISTIANfaith, your an idiot! Im Mexican, and i dont think Lakotas are Aztecs. your just trying to turn Mexicans and Native Americans against eachother. Most mexicans have some sort of Native American blood also, and millions of Mexicans are still pure Native American. Im Mexican and I do NOT support Aztlan or Mecha, but i do support Russel Means and the Lakotah Republic. The United States has broken treaties with the Lakotas, the Lakotas have the right to form their own sovereign nation!

  • Not all Mexicans are of Azteca Descent! I am of the Olmecs of South Mexico! We all as a people should embrace each other and have respect for everyone regardless of tribe, religion, race and or skin color.

  • Faztlan, my youngest is part Maya......I know the Medicine Wheel has 4 colours on it for a reason. It was no mistake.

SO long as one doesn't abuse the sacred, it should be good for all. Even the Indigenous Grandmothers have said so. But no one wants to listen...no one wants unity: they stay in division. And anyone should know: to divide is to conquer.

  • well his point is they lie to a lot of ppl but thanks for the support lakotah love

  • Wakan Tanka, Great Mystery, teach me how to trust my heart, my mind, my intuition, my inner knowing, the senses of my body, the blessings of my spirit. Teach me to trust these things so that I may enter my Sacred Space and love beyond my fear, and thus Walk in Balance with the passing of each glorious Sun. keep this in your heart always
  • @lakota246 please e-mail me back i am very taken by your culture would like to know more please e-mail me

  • @smokeingun27 the ways of the people are sacred, to share them with others is a good thing, but this thing requires great trust. The way is a hard way. Ones spirit must be strong and pure, the mind must be open and true, the heart must be honest, and the ego must be small.

  • @lakota246 SO beautiful and to the point. Thx for posting this.

  • @AlmaLindsay your welcome, so many people that are posting comments on this video are full of hate and want revenge. it takes a pure mind, body, and spirit to forgive the past and try to look on to the future. what the white people did was wrong and evil but holding grudges wont get us anywhere. Wawoktugan - "Practice forgiveness."

  • @lakota246 Lakota, I can that you have a very strong spirit--a very needed thing for this time on our planet. And yes, we must move forward and keep Native American culture alive, in America. It's so important, for so many of us have American Indian in our blood, myself included.

  • @AlmaLindsay yeah a lot of people share the native american blood, every minority has had its terrible times, i mean look at what was done to blacks and women, but it is time for us to look beyond that because those who truely follow the path of our native american ancestors wouldnt speak like most of the commentors

  • Pila Miyan, Mitakuye Oyasin
