my brother was taken out by a skier on the wall 2 years ago, it was his first time doing the wall and he did a great job but all of a sudden a skier (who looked real good at first) lost it. My brother kept skiing and didn't notice the guy. I was video taping on my phone and could see the collision happening....unfortunately it was too sunny and I couldn't hit the 'save' button the phone. It was epic.
It is the up hill persons responsibility to avoid everyone below them that's the rule of the piste.
@ SemperFraternus There is no rule for traversing (going across the slope), I do it a lot, Ski Schools do it, it's useful to learn correct stance, weighting, balance etc.
I leant to ski properly before carvers/boarders, now it seems anyone who has been for a week is classed as an intermediate as the skis turn easier with less to no technique needed.

Boarders that are good and can keep with me are fine but boarders that suck and are cocky as fuck piss me off, the ones who slide down andthink they are hard cos they board. Funny as fuck when they fall n I spray em or get em with the back part of my ski. I tried boarding, sucked at it, mad props to good boarders... Ill still to skiing
this and the lodge is the only good part about holiday valley imo. kb is much better for my style of boarding. i do terrain parks. and the one at kb is better.

Also, in the video, I am pretty sure thats a girl, (I assume your male) so it is less likely to be you. Also, if you were this pissed that he ran into you, you probably would have cursed him out pretty bad.

At Kissing Bridge some stupid snowboarder was sitting down in a steep part, I was going at a good speed, hit his snowboard, went flying and busted my knee and wrist, and my face was cut up pretty bad.
well skiers are "thorns in snowboarders sides" too, they go too slow, they make fucking huge ass turns in groups and when your going fast to a bump/ natural jump to do a trick off of, a fag skier is standing right on it, pisses me off, and mabye you should slow down before you go over, "a steep part" since that how all skiers seem to ski...

Oh, and I love how you think it's funny that skiier just got his ski's back on and then was slammed back down, not only he have a long hike to recover all his equipment, but he could've gotten seriously hurt! I did, my skiing season was ruined. Plus, I was lucky I didn't have any internal bleeding.
