i thought fit and finnish was more about how well the pieces fit together (which they don't) than how easily they come off...even though that's shit too lol
You know maybe certain interiors pieces come off easy, so you can take it apart by yourself if you have a problem or when you take it in for service might cheaper, because takes less time take apart.
Great, another thoroughly authoritative review of a car... remind me to watch out for petulant and entitled dudes like this one lurking around in the car lot...
@TheRostockianer Seems you are not well acquainted with the 07-11 Camry we deal with. If you are not aware, Camry's of these years offered here in the U.S have one the worst interior qualities + fit & finish of most other cars in its class. That may have changed with the 2012 as the redesigned the interior.
I challenge you to do this a 2012 Toyota Camry...... oh wait. Your mother fucking ass can't anymore unless you use a knife to tear the stitched dash and pry bar to pry to plastics out........ such a shame huh? Its too bad akio toyoda put life back into the company......
Who cares about if you can take parts of the interior off or not ? Has nothing to do with reliability. No matter what car you buy people are always complaining. If you don't like the car then don't buy it period. Toyota and Honda stands for relaibility. Why didn't you show us how to take off the bumber as well ? So stupid.
@Daytona79 I wouldn't compare or put Honda & Toyota on the same level.. Honda is superior in many respects & they do not make such a poor interior in the comparable Accord
I bought my 08 camry base on my moms success with her 1999 over 250,000 miles on her car up to date. I have 40000 miles on my camry and i am getting rid of it because of all the repairs i had done to it with all low miles and all the plastics just like the video. Im going to check kia optima out
To think a year ago I almost bought one of these based on a short test drive of a friend's 2006 Camry (ended up with an '07 Accord instead). I've never been in an '07 or later, but while I think the interior looks good on the surface, it's quite disappointing to know there's no substance behind it. The next Camry needs to cut the bloat, get a high-quality interior, and actually have steering with some semblance of feel.
Even If I gave you a Ferrari it'd turn into trash within a week, cause you'd pull everything apart. Toyota is a good car, in fact any car is a good car under the right owners.
Not just any car IMO. Some cars naturally experience issues despite the owners, many can be avoided depending on the owner but some is unavoidable. You just have a tough time accepting how the Camry has one of the worst interiors in its class, bland styling, mushy handling, & numb steering. Theres better choices out there. Camry has a good engine & tranny but thats it.
I would actually respect a Ferrari as actually engineering & attention to detail was applied into making them
What a sorry excuse for a car! They havn't always been like this though, I love my 1996 toyota camry! It's interior quality is way better that the brand new ones! great review! please continue to show toyota they need to do better!
I understand that many dont appreciate my attitude towards toyotas but I just so dislike cars like this for example where they lagged in terms of design & quality. Many just dont see that picture & just begin with insults & etc lol
So what is the point to the video? Its better to work on a car that just comes apart with no tools then to have to unscrew a bunch of stuff. Japanese are just smarter and know how to build a car that is cost effective. You also chose the crappiest model to shit on. So with that said when you buy a car like that its because you either don't have much money because you have too many kids or because you just don't care about driving a stock car and that goes with any car manufacturer...
@youjustgotzached a lot of japanese interiors come apart easy but this video clearly demonstrates the sloppy fit and finish of a lot of toyota models, the plastics are of cheap quality and they don't fit right so they snap off a lot easier than even a honda, nissan, mazda, or such
LOL I did the same thing to an xle, at 1:40! except the e(x)tra (l)ame (e)dition camry had wood instead of the painted plastic, making it look so fake. And I also snapped the entire pice off as well as the two pieces surrounding the storage compartment and had the most fun popping the instrument panel off! This car would be decent if everything didn't clip off so easily, because the dash, door panel and center counsel are nicely padded. I'd get an avalon or lexus es350 instead
@Lexuslover123 actually the es350 is quite shitty considering how expensive it is, benz, bmw, and infiniti are all much much higher quality, the es is just a dressed up camry with slightly better materials, but the fit & finish isn't great
@2004NissanSentra Not really, I went in a es350 and couldn't pull anything apart, and I pulled everywhere, especially the places that come off in the camry. I am renting an infinity fx30 diesel in Europe now, and I could pull the door panel off in it, which I will demonstrate in an upcoming vid, and also another place, but everything in th car is soft to the touch at least.
Wow the interior is amazing!! It's amazing cause I never seen an interior more pitiful and pathetic in my life. I'm ashamed to drive my Lexus now. Toyota kno they need their ass whopped
I mean, nobody how dries a camry will take apart the interior like this but it just comes to show the cheap, easy but sloppy route Toyota has taken with many of their models..... I did something similar to a 2007 Yaris & I will be posting a Quality issue update regarding the dashboard of the current model Tundra & Sequoia tonight
Quite likely Toyota didnt go the lego with an engine route because of all the assorted colors & that they'd loose business in their parts department as everyone would just head down to Toys-R-Us to pick up a bucket of replacement parts LMAO..
So the idiot who shot that is surprised that the interior comes apart? Dear God! That's the way all cars are pretty much made today. He's amused that the gear shift knob comes off, WELL DUHH! Everyone here knows I am NOT by any stretch a Toyota fan boy, BUT the Camry is par for the course. The Camry like other cars in its class are built to a "good enough" level. It's good enough to last the life of the car.
I am embarrassed of the quality on US built Toyotas. My ES is made in Kyushu, Japan and it feels more solid than a late 1990s BMW when it comes to plastics and fit and finish.
I have a XLE and really like the car. For 2011 the XLE is now the only Camry that has a available V6, I think that was a mistake on Toyota's part because that is a great engine. I recently drove a LE for a few days, it was a rental that I got and there is a huge difference between a LE and a XLE, the XLE interior is not cheap looking and the stereo sounds much better, it also has those vanity lights that you like so much.
hmmm the 16 Dislikes are probably toyota fanboys that wont admit to the fact that toyota has slipped alot
the 18 Likes are people with sense....sure its a decent looking car but id rather drive a 2001 Camry...much less cheap plastic,soft to the touch surfaces and reliability.
maybe all you haters/toyota camry lovers should be so sorry that you are not even driving a real car, you are just driving an extravagant appliance called a car and you fail to see the pleasures of what driving really is
Nothing wrong showing off the crap interior quality of recent Toyota Products, especially of models that are overhyped in being a high quality car when in reality they fall short of it.
Perhaps you're overlooking the fact that most Toyotas are built for reliability, not snobby fuck heads thinking they know something about interior quality.
Which really isnt so much the case nowadays....... Why have a so called reliable car when you cant appreciate the place where you'll spend most of your time it???? Its not so hard to have or ask for both...........
@ksearles85 NOT just the interior quality, these things are really pieces of shit now as is any toyota nowadays, now I am starting to hear of electrical problems like cruise control going wacko, rear defrosters going out, windows/locks work when they want to and air conditioners have been famous for going out since 2002. corollas have had problems with computers, fuel pumps, ac compressors, and alternators among many others
@ksearles85 as you can see the pieces he took off he says the quality of toyota is no good but those were made to pop right out in case the radio ever needed work and about the pieces not being even my dads are the same way in his 2007 camry most people arent that picky over silly little things like that
OMG! Toyota has great interior quality (look european models corolla avensis and lexus models too ) But this model has the worst quality i have ever seen . Omg ...the car looks like made by...lego . :S Toyota's american models sucks :S
I have been a fan of Toyota for a long time and I drive a 2006 Camry...HOWEVER, I do have to agree with you that the newer generation Camry has REALLY SLIPPED in interior quality. A couple of months ago I actually thought about trading in my 2006 for a new 2011 Camry, after seeing the car and test driving it I've never been more happy to walk away. Kind of funny that you pointed out that those snap on parts don't line up with the rest of the dash...THAT WAS THE FIRST THING I NOTICED!
I talked about how the 2011 Camry is crap compared to there old 2002 from 2004 Toyota Camry's (because they were the best) & ToyotaUSA blocked my channel.
@talldude123 I KNOW! Toyota used to be like the BEST CAR COMPANY on the road! But now they are just cheap bastards, & are backstabbers to there loyal customers. It disappoints me very much how Toyota changed like that, I mean they do still at least keep good quality in there other Car Company Lexus, however there Lexus vehicles are a bit pricey. Well, I still got my good old 2004 Toyota Camry, the one that was built very well, and that was not put together with connect four.
@joewillgo I can agree that Lexus is good, but that's because you're paying $40K for the cheapest one! The 2004 Camry was the last of the good quality Toyota's, I know that because I rode in a 2003 Taxi one today and it was comfortable in the back seat, had lots of room, and everything was solid! Only thing I didn't like was the absence of the armrest in the back seat (pass thru) and there was no cupholder or ashtray or power adapter, pretty basic for what was the SE model
They concentrated to much in producing the most volume of anyone else. And they did that nicely for a decade but its biting them in the ass hard & now that Toyota is seeing that downfall, I'm sure they'e realizing they seriously need to make a huge leap in their game.
@Intechdude300 Yeah the last good quality Toyota I saw was an 89 Corolla, everything else is just shit but meh who knows maybe 1 out of the million Camry's has good interior quality!
I would remove every single piece of interior trim and leave it all in the backseat and just walk away, that would be the funniest thing ever....only you'd have to find a way to see the reaction from other people when they see it in million pieces LOL
hehe I seriously wish so but I try hard keeping mild & putting everything back to not get kicked out LOL.... Had I of done that, security cams would track who was last in the car which was me + the dealer would get pissed for the car bringing 1000's less hahaha. I'm gonna try more Toyota models. Wanna get hands on again with Corollas, current gen highlanders, Siennas & etc .
The hate is already piling into my inbox LOL but its just the toyota boys cant take a hit xD..
@soloistLexus The one at the auto show must have been a lemon model, as they say. Cause Ford's quality is very high now. Most of there vehicles, with the exception of a couple models, are made with high quality materials and put together really well. When I drive my mom's Fusion, it feels like a Lexus to me. The solid feel and the quietness, even the ride and handling.
@soloistLexus Really? My mother has a 2010 Fusion SEL and you can't take apart anything in that car. There's no squeaks and rattles and everything's solid. There's nothing misfitted in it at all. So the Fusion you were in, must have been a lemon. The Fusion's interior quality has been ranked higher then both Camry's and Accords.
Wow, what a piece of shit car Camry's are now. I believe the last one's made that were high quality, were the 2006 on back. My sister 2002 XLE, you can't pull nothing apart and it has soft things everywhere and the plastics are solid. My mom's 2010 Fusion is 10 times better then these new Camry's.
wow that interior is probably the loosest fitting i've ever seen!! even that 99 tahoe you did a while back wasn't this bad, this just deserves no respect lol, only brightside is very comfortable seats, something corolla and yaris lacks
Toyota Camry: CE: Crap Edition, LE: Lousy Edition, SE: Shit Edition, XLE: Extremely Lousy Edition. Their as exciting to drive as watching paint dry. I had to laugh when you started lifting up various trim pieces. One bright side I can think of is that they would be easy to replace. I know you don't like the 02-present but if I were to purchase one it would be an 02-06. While those may be plasticky, it was the last time I didn't notice any panel gaps and everything sounded or seemed solid.
by the way if you want feed back from a PREVIOUS camry hybrid owner... the OH SH** handles broke when my aunt held on. Or maybe she grips it too hard.
Screw the Camry, should have did the Murano or Acura MDX instead. But it was interesting watching you take apart the interior of that car. It's good to know if let's say I ever had that car, and I damaged an interior part, it would be easy for me to replace it.
@Intechdude300 The 2007-present Camry's are so cheap. I loved the 2002-2006 models. My sister has an 02 that she bought brand new and is still like new. Toyota has gone downhill big time.
@Intechdude300 I think it's just a matter of time before these things start to sag on the interior. my mom's 11 XLE fits decently and looks OK because it's new, but my dad's 07 SE is not the best. That piece around the shifter comes right off and the front curtain airbag panel will easily pop off and leave the airbag sagging. I haven't tried the pieces on the center stack; the fit actually looks good in the 11 (for now) but can't say the same for the SE. Yeah, there are 2 Camrys in the garage...
@irw08 the mechanicals in these are also junk, the V6s in these are prone to bad valve springs and/or camshafts coming apart, transmissions are also problematic
The 07 XLE V6 I drove & put a driving vid of a few few months back actually did slip on me once from 2-3 & for another moment from 5-6. When I shut the car off for a moment to put in some fuel, car was fine again after. I feathered it afterwards to my destination tho.
i thought fit and finnish was more about how well the pieces fit together (which they don't) than how easily they come off...even though that's shit too lol

One sees clearly that everything is seated firmly enough.
There is nothing loose.

maybe all you haters/toyota camry lovers should be so sorry that you are not even driving a real car, you are just driving an extravagant appliance called a car and you fail to see the pleasures of what driving really is

@Intechdude300- Actually i'm not upset, abd why were you even looking at a Camry if you don't like them?? Anyways, what do you drive? Geo Metro??
sammyvick123 8 months ago
@sammyvick123
Nothing wrong showing off the crap interior quality of recent Toyota Products, especially of models that are overhyped in being a high quality car when in reality they fall short of it.
Intechdude300 8 months ago
@sammyvick123 Well I hope you enjoy driving your cheap little Camry and fucking your boyfriends tight ass

...Oh dear. Makes me appreciate 1980s Toyotas even more, that's all I have to say.
ApolloBoy 9 months ago
Perhaps you're overlooking the fact that most Toyotas are built for reliability, not snobby fuck heads thinking they know something about interior quality.
ksearles85 9 months ago
@ksearles85
Which really isnt so much the case nowadays....... Why have a so called reliable car when you cant appreciate the place where you'll spend most of your time it???? Its not so hard to have or ask for both...........
Intechdude300 9 months ago
@ksearles85 NOT just the interior quality, these things are really pieces of shit now as is any toyota nowadays, now I am starting to hear of electrical problems like cruise control going wacko, rear defrosters going out, windows/locks work when they want to and air conditioners have been famous for going out since 2002. corollas have had problems with computers, fuel pumps, ac compressors, and alternators among many others
2004NissanSentra 9 months ago
@ksearles85 as you can see the pieces he took off he says the quality of toyota is no good but those were made to pop right out in case the radio ever needed work and about the pieces not being even my dads are the same way in his 2007 camry most people arent that picky over silly little things like that
schindlerman96 9 months ago
OMG! Toyota has great interior quality (look european models corolla avensis and lexus models too ) But this model has the worst quality i have ever seen . Omg ...the car looks like made by...lego . :S Toyota's american models sucks :S
likio60 9 months ago
I have been a fan of Toyota for a long time and I drive a 2006 Camry...HOWEVER, I do have to agree with you that the newer generation Camry has REALLY SLIPPED in interior quality. A couple of months ago I actually thought about trading in my 2006 for a new 2011 Camry, after seeing the car and test driving it I've never been more happy to walk away. Kind of funny that you pointed out that those snap on parts don't line up with the rest of the dash...THAT WAS THE FIRST THING I NOTICED!
poptartsandburgers 9 months ago
I talked about how the 2011 Camry is crap compared to there old 2002 from 2004 Toyota Camry's (because they were the best) & ToyotaUSA blocked my channel.
joewillgo 9 months ago
@joewillgo Yeah Toyota are douches and will never admit they're wrong, they just jack up the prices higher and higher
talldude123 9 months ago
@talldude123 I KNOW! Toyota used to be like the BEST CAR COMPANY on the road! But now they are just cheap bastards, & are backstabbers to there loyal customers. It disappoints me very much how Toyota changed like that, I mean they do still at least keep good quality in there other Car Company Lexus, however there Lexus vehicles are a bit pricey. Well, I still got my good old 2004 Toyota Camry, the one that was built very well, and that was not put together with connect four.
joewillgo 9 months ago
@joewillgo I can agree that Lexus is good, but that's because you're paying $40K for the cheapest one! The 2004 Camry was the last of the good quality Toyota's, I know that because I rode in a 2003 Taxi one today and it was comfortable in the back seat, had lots of room, and everything was solid! Only thing I didn't like was the absence of the armrest in the back seat (pass thru) and there was no cupholder or ashtray or power adapter, pretty basic for what was the SE model
talldude123 9 months ago
Im ashamed to have once liked toyota >.>
2004SiennaAWD 9 months ago
@2004SiennaAWD
They concentrated to much in producing the most volume of anyone else. And they did that nicely for a decade but its biting them in the ass hard & now that Toyota is seeing that downfall, I'm sure they'e realizing they seriously need to make a huge leap in their game.
Intechdude300 9 months ago
@Intechdude300 Yeah the last good quality Toyota I saw was an 89 Corolla, everything else is just shit but meh who knows maybe 1 out of the million Camry's has good interior quality!
talldude123 9 months ago
@talldude123
I always considered the last good Corolla being the 97 model & the last good camry with the 4 Cyl is the 2001 model.
Intechdude300 9 months ago
@Intechdude300 i would have died laughing if you took apart the center stack and put it back wrong like upside down and shit

I would remove every single piece of interior trim and leave it all in the backseat and just walk away, that would be the funniest thing ever....only you'd have to find a way to see the reaction from other people when they see it in million pieces LOL
mercmilan06 9 months ago
@mercmilan06
hehe I seriously wish so but I try hard keeping mild & putting everything back to not get kicked out LOL....
Intechdude300 9 months ago
@soloistLexus The one at the auto show must have been a lemon model, as they say. Cause Ford's quality is very high now. Most of there vehicles, with the exception of a couple models, are made with high quality materials and put together really well. When I drive my mom's Fusion, it feels like a Lexus to me. The solid feel and the quietness, even the ride and handling.
giannial1985 9 months ago
@soloistLexus Really? My mother has a 2010 Fusion SEL and you can't take apart anything in that car. There's no squeaks and rattles and everything's solid. There's nothing misfitted in it at all. So the Fusion you were in, must have been a lemon. The Fusion's interior quality has been ranked higher then both Camry's and Accords.
giannial1985 9 months ago
Wow, what a piece of shit car Camry's are now. I believe the last one's made that were high quality, were the 2006 on back. My sister 2002 XLE, you can't pull nothing apart and it has soft things everywhere and the plastics are solid. My mom's 2010 Fusion is 10 times better then these new Camry's.
giannial1985 9 months ago
i dont care about what anybody says
even chevy isn't that bad with fit and finish!!
crammage 9 months ago
wow that interior is probably the loosest fitting i've ever seen!! even that 99 tahoe you did a while back wasn't this bad, this just deserves no respect lol, only brightside is very comfortable seats, something corolla and yaris lacks
2004NissanSentra 9 months ago
wow.....
SubieSean 9 months ago
Toyota Camry: CE: Crap Edition, LE: Lousy Edition, SE: Shit Edition, XLE: Extremely Lousy Edition. Their as exciting to drive as watching paint dry. I had to laugh when you started lifting up various trim pieces. One bright side I can think of is that they would be easy to replace. I know you don't like the 02-present but if I were to purchase one it would be an 02-06. While those may be plasticky, it was the last time I didn't notice any panel gaps and everything sounded or seemed solid.
Dunoj 9 months ago
@Dunoj the 02-0 have excellent interiors, everything is soft except the lower part of the doors
carguy379 9 months ago
I bet a little child would love to play with this jigsaw puzzle, gotta love that Toyota quality

by the way if you want feed back from a PREVIOUS camry hybrid owner... the OH SH** handles broke when my aunt held on. Or maybe she grips it too hard.

maeng97 9 months ago
@maeng97
I'll have to wait until next week
Intechdude300 9 months ago
That Camry is a gas guzzling, stupidly fast, lego interior, and a plastic jungle. Yeah, now I think that Toyota's sales are a little slow nowadays.
maeng97 9 months ago
Our family used to think that Camrys used to be better than Sonatas. Turns out that it was all bullshit.
maeng97 9 months ago
Did you happen to do a video of that Nissan Murano parked in front of this Camry?
carman81usa 9 months ago
@carman81usa
nope
Intechdude300 9 months ago
@Intechdude300 :( Oh well.
carman81usa 9 months ago
Screw the Camry, should have did the Murano or Acura MDX instead. But it was interesting watching you take apart the interior of that car. It's good to know if let's say I ever had that car, and I damaged an interior part, it would be easy for me to replace it.
carman81usa 9 months ago
The gear knob from the 2004-present-day Toyotas can be screwed off.
maeng97 9 months ago
@maeng97
A bit earlier than that
Intechdude300 9 months ago
@Intechdude300 The 2007-present Camry's are so cheap. I loved the 2002-2006 models. My sister has an 02 that she bought brand new and is still like new. Toyota has gone downhill big time.

@irw08
Thanx, Fixed it!!! But cant change what I said now tho LOL
Intechdude300 9 months ago
@Intechdude300 I think it's just a matter of time before these things start to sag on the interior. my mom's 11 XLE fits decently and looks OK because it's new, but my dad's 07 SE is not the best. That piece around the shifter comes right off and the front curtain airbag panel will easily pop off and leave the airbag sagging. I haven't tried the pieces on the center stack; the fit actually looks good in the 11 (for now) but can't say the same for the SE. Yeah, there are 2 Camrys in the garage...
irw08 9 months ago
@irw08 the mechanicals in these are also junk, the V6s in these are prone to bad valve springs and/or camshafts coming apart, transmissions are also problematic
2004NissanSentra 9 months ago
@2004NissanSentra
The 07 XLE V6 I drove & put a driving vid of a few few months back actually did slip on me once from 2-3 & for another moment from 5-6. When I shut the car off for a moment to put in some fuel, car was fine again after. I feathered it afterwards to my destination tho.
