Is not the speed or hardness of solos that makes a guitarist good. It's bein able to create badass sounds and put them all together perfectly. Like this song for example, it's not hard or fast but it sounds fuckin cool as hell! Metallica does the same thing, they have the easiest guitar solos in the word but they are all sick sounding.

I figured I'd give this band another chance because I know they have talent but still not my cup of tea. The main reason I wanted to hear is because I've heard good things about the solos. They are definitely good but I'm really not that impressed. Vektor's solos shit all over this to be honest. Diamond Plate has better and (and faster) solos, too. Still, this is a talented band and good for those who like them. There are better guitarists out there though, quit saying this is the best.

@tankgod2010 you misunderstand why a7x is so great. no they dont have the best solos or guitarists, but its synister gates that makes it amazing, a7x is one of the most solid bands ive got on my ipod, and ive got all the good stuff, as far as im concerned, they are the best for me, theyre just not for you.

@sandoillidan I'm not saying the guitarists aren't very talented but they aren't touching Erik Nelson from Vektor or Konrad Kupiec from Diamond Plate as far as the solos go. I'm just saying, it's fast but not as fast or complex as other stuff out there and the solo in Afterlife is sick but it's probably less fast and less varied than the solos in Echoless Chamber or Tetrastructural Minds and those are just off the top of my head. I think pretty much every Vektor solo is better.
