Thanks for the video - however, I'm really sick and tired of seeing all of the neat features that Comcast has "supposedly" deployed. In Washington DC we have none of them. NONE. I can't even program my DVR remotely. Why on earth is Comcast advertising the iPad app and all of other xfinity crap in DC? Its not even available!!!
When I call customer service they have no idea when xfinity is being deployed in DC.
So i'll ask you. When will all of these features come to DC?
@Stereophile11 the variety of box actually depends on the hardware at the headend unfortunately. A scientific atlanta headend requires scientific atlanta boxes. Comcast must have acquired them or something.
This looks great. It's apparently getting rolled to my box on Feb. 11 so I'm pretty excited. Will it fix the issue with input lag and fast forward causing playback to jump to the end of the recording sometimes?
Cool, pretty excited still but Feb. 11 came and passed and no update. I've been on tech support with Comcast twice, they claim they are going to push the update, my box resets, I wait, but I'm still on the old software version.
The New Only recording old programs is a problem with the meta data supplied to your cable co, it's the networks fault not the cable cos fault. Comedy Central has been doing this with their episodes what they will do is they will call a program new until the newer one comes out. For example when a new episode of South Park airs on Wednesday night it will say that it is new, however for the rest of the week until the next Wednesday night re-airs of that episode will continue t appear as new, th

It is now July, 5 and still no new guide in my area of NJ. And, yes, I have a Motorola box.

How do you get the tv show to play in the upper right corner while you're in the guide?

All the set top boxes i have had, and do have are all scientific Atlanta's or ciscos. Can i get a motorola box instead of the SA's or cisco's?

@Stereophile11 There is actually a version of this guide for Cisco/SA boxes that is very close to this one.

Command queuing was what I meant by input lag, where the box won't respond to commands for a few seconds and any extra command will queue up.
kaplanfx 2 years ago
@kaplanfx - You should see marked improvement in this area if not altogether eliminated.

Does this guide actually have the option to stretch to 16x9?

@redstaracura The next release of the guide will take advantage of 16x9 and have lots of other nifty features.

DVR folders and HD only recordings, FINALLY.
Now you just gotta fix the "New only" recording old episodes.
Knowlin 2 years ago
DVR Over-recording is also fixed in this new guide, a feature called DVR History that automatically greatly alleviates over-recording
