@saved83 the cylinder head would explode at 700. not to mention your bottom end would take a crap. L serious engines are not marvels of engineering. all they did was take half of your standard datsun 4 cylinder, the same engine that came in everything from station wagons to pickup trucks, and weld it onto the front of another 4 cylinder.

Hey man, nice car. I'm looking at maybe buying a 280 myself. I never would have thought to use an Apexi muffler, most guys seem to use magnaflows I think. Can you hear the blow off valve at all? For whatever reason all the videos I've seen of 280ZXs have had almost no blow off valve sound. Maybe they all just run relatively low boost?

everything ;) start with exhaust and then beef up the engine internals, get it tuned by a reliable shop, then drop a bigger turbo in there.

yea it will sound just like mine, just no turbo sound. and probably not as loud since you wont be running 3" piping. I wouldn't go any bigger than 2.5" piping on natural aspirated because you need the exhaust velocity to help move the exhaust gases

no, they dont make them for any Z's i had to custom make it. you can buy the universal muffler, and then have your custom piping done @ any exhaust shop that carries mandrel bent pipe

thanks bro. well i did full exhaust from the stock downpipe all the way back, cost me $550 for labor, piping, flanges, cat and muffler. the muffler i found for $209 on ebay. i can imagine the NA mufflers will be a little cheaper

yea thats a greddy type S. i dont think i'd use any other one, except maybe for the older ssqv. If you can get ahold of a greddy type-s, a REAL one, i had the ebay knock off and it sucked! invest in a real one, you wont regret it!
