  • also there was a tv movie which they, no doubt, were paid big $ for the rights to this story.

  • this is bullshit. now these people are making a living off this scam writing books and giving seminars etc.

  • Total control with no privacy can warp a person. It makes you feel more like a tool.

  • @ShingoEX Seemed to work wonders for this girl.

  • Oh beth, well done sweetie

  • This is reminds me of the movie Case 39. Except this story has a happy ending :)

  • @TexasBlueAngel85 That is exactly what I thought while watching this.

  • what if the tears were fake?

  • @Reallynow84

    sociopaths fake their emotions

  • Man I wish she killed someone before she turned all boring.

  • @ChildMolestingRobot lmao that's horrible.

  • Does anyone know what ended up happening to her or where she is now?

  • Aw, poor angel..

I was a abused as a child as well. My problem was that I didn't dare to show any reaction. I always listened to what I was told to do and how to behave. Now, 14 years later, I start to open myself. I can feel the hate anf anger burning inside me and it hurts by the thought that I've been so scared and quiet for so long, not knowing that I had my own rights to stand for. Feels like I'm too old to be way too angry at the age of almost 18.

  • @ThisIsLove94 Best of luck to you.

  • i felt that pain. her tears were real and she has a heart now because she hurt just talking about it. with video 1 & 2 she talked about the rape like nothing and now she feels the pain it caused her then. so sad!!!

  • @fermos11111 mankind is evil, we make the choices we do by our own will, God did not create the human race to interfere with every aspect of our lives, whether good or bad, but for us to learn on our own and through him heal from the horrible things we go through

  • @stokethefurrywall69 I am not evil! u should have stopped at God did not create the human,,,,,so in your world a supreme being created us to do bad things and heal through him.. hmmm please reconsider your belief system

  • poor girl.. that's horrible

  • GREAT!!! TEACH her about that crazy place called hell.....that will help her know reality.

  • @fermos11111 What would your approach be to a child in her position?

  • 3:06 thats a really nice story book mister.

  • She's just acting.

  • @Svullosvinto Like the North Koreans.

  • its crazy how her face expressions changed during that time, you can literally see how she became human.. she was really apathetic and now she has this expressions of moral in her face..great work

  • poor baby beth:(

  • i just fell sorry 4 her and her little brother

  • She has been abused and now she is in Church which is even worse... poor little girl.

  • @oscarmcmc she will find her way, but saying being in church is worse than physical sexual abuse is just fucking wrong. Go, preach your atheistic gospel somewhere else, kids who have come from families ridden with demonic urges dont need anymore crap and this isnt the place for debating.

  • I got tears in my eyes im glad shes better

  • OMG, All the changes this little girl has went through There is a God he put her in the right hands! I don't know if it was to change someone else's life or what But GOD IS GOOD!

  • @TheLisalue Why didnt your GOOD god help her from the start? I am sure you can answer that,,,right?

  • Nobody can say she wont completely heal because no1 can be her

  • sounds like Lionel Richie's Hello...

  • you know that when they cry theyve changed.

  • god bless that poor little girl...thought she is a grown woman now..god bless that little girl!

  • you can see how hard it is for her to retouch with her sense of empathy and compassion..to relise what she did was wrong and to understand why it was wrong...all that little girl had ever been taught was pain..day in and day out..so its not surprising that she would be come a cold unfeeling product of all that.any injurerd animal will lashout when in pain.the rub of it is that humans can be in so many different forms of pain.and not always outwardly express that.or even know how to.

  • Ignorance will kill ya. In 2012, we now know better than this. You do not "learn" to have a conscience- you are either born with one, or you're not. If you aren't, we now classify that as sociopathy/psychopathy. You cannot rehabilitate an evil monster, and those tears are as fake as her progress.

  • @ShannyBaby555 did you know that Beth Thomas grew into a mentally healthy woman. She obtained a degree in nursing and has authored a book entitled “More Than a Thread of Hope.” She and her adoptive mother Nancy Thomas established a clinic for children with severe behaviour disturbances. Nancy Thomas wrote a book entitled Dandelion on my Pillow, Butcher Knife Beneath (Coping with Personal Problems).

  • @ShannyBaby555 : I think you are wrong. She looked like a totally different person in part 3 and it was not acting. Everyone can change if they want to.

  • Comment removed

  • I'm so glad they had this breakthrough and she was able to feel empathy/compassion towards those she inflicted pain towards in the past. I hope she's doing alright now and I applaud the parents and psychologist for giving her the foundation she needed to heal

  • I wonder how her brother, John, is doing...

  • this is what happened to richard kuklinski but nobody helped him. no wonder he grew up having no emotion. i can see now from the kids point of view they just dont have conscience. but it has to be formed early or thers danger ahead

  • @MyOatesy the iceman?? the mob hitman?...dude that dude was just an evil bastard!

  • @KeithWasHere1 exactly how she woulda grown up if she hadnt had been stopped bein abused off her parents. my point exactly she was saved just in time he wasnt he was continued to be abused ALL THRU HIS CHILDHOOD

  • @MyOatesy yeah but some suggest that he made it up,he was a manipulative bastard with a cold cold heart..that i think occurred naturally.and there are just evil people in the world..evil takes many many forms..from what happened to Beth,Iceman, and others.even so call good people like preachers, priests, and the religious.

  • @KeithWasHere1 yeah i know what u mean ,feeding people to rats is cold. part of me reckons he made that up i cant see even a pack of rats attacking a human theyd be just too afraid. or are the rats in new york aggresssive?

  • It's a good thing she improved but I disagree about the religion brainwashing part.

  • @mimikawaii7386 I agree. Exposure to extreme emphasis on religion does more damage to children than it helps.

  • @mimikawaii7386 you know that might be the only place where religion might lead to something good! you sheeple!

  • Im glad she is doing better :)

  • Her tears were so real, you can feel it even looking at the film. I feel so bad for her and hopefully she will have a great life for the rest of her life.

  • Well I wouldn't put her in the same room as my daughter...let's not get carried away.

  • shes good singer, she seems incredibly smart, she has potential despite being fucked at a young age

  • She cried.;(

  • Is this lady gaga as a child??

I joke I joke... this actually scares the shit out of me.

  • what does she do now days, she must be a good woman now her treatment worked her anger out of her.

  • No conscious - psychopath. I still say you cannot "teach" someone to have a conscious. Also, if you weren't discussing her rape, abuse, starving, etc. - should would NOT recall it - not at 1 year old.

  • i don't understand how this much can be put out in public has beth given permission

  • still wont trust her srry!

  • Amazing, uplifting story! Definitely makes me praise God. It also reminds me to treat people with love and patience and kindness --we really have no idea what our neighbors have overcome. Mrs Thomas, your story really does touch our lives, what you've done can give anyone hope, and you're in our prayers.

  • Yeah I want to know about her brother.

I have my hopes up because of this.

  • good voice

  • :( poor little psychopath..

  • Whatever helped this little girl to mend is a good thing. I'm sure being brought up by good moral people who acted for her own best interests, religious or not, was the key. I'm so over all the knockers of religion, who concentrate on all the bad things, but forget the many good works done and the people helped by religion and faith. I'm not a christian, but I respect the good things they stand for.

  • @Sereena111 "I'm so over all the knockers of religion" absolutely, it's seems as tedious to me as the portrayal they make. The whole on or off stereotyping is so frustratingly fake.

  • @Sereena111 unfortunately what the christians (and religious) stand for is foolishness, make believe, and wishful thinking, not to mention control. what we all need is care, love, and understanding from each other. Religion(s) need not apply.

  • @parisruiz1

    I TOTALLY AGREE!!!!!!!!!!

  • scared to doubt their parents/abusers, for all they know it WILL be 10x worse after they tell, there will no rescue, just hell to pay

  • if the kids (the older ones, ones in school already, ones able to talk) were not afraid to complain, ask for help they would do it!

but those 'parents' scare them out of those ideas, tell them horrible things "that will happen if you tell anyone" nd those kids have NO REASON not to belive their parent/abusers. thats how they're brought up, that's the world they know. they don't know anny better, are too

  • because that's what they're told, all they're told about themselves. they might feel, deep down a tiny piece of them feels, that they're not that bad actually, but its easier (dont ask why, if you dont know you propably wont get it) to accept what the adults are saying - to think YOU are the bad one, the one making the good adults do things =/

it might sound weird/messed up/wrong/incerdible to some of you but thats the way it it

adults can abuse kids because they make those kids afraid to tell

  • depends on the church I guess.

Im all anti church and anti religion but if her parents are into that sh*t she can't escape, better she adjusts to it, and it looks like it does'nt bother her and as if the community accepts her as a VICTIM (which she IS) not the perpetrator, which is good - very important for her.

abused kids are often told that they're bad, messed up, it's their fault, etc. and they belive it

  • Church is the LAST thing she needs, what the heck?! That place will only make her feel like she's "evil"

  • Even before I saw the ending of this, I had a feeling she was a good girl somewhere deep down. I'm so happy she turned her life around but it's a shame she had to go through that kind of abuse at such a young age, it's no fair. I'm glad she's doing good now :)

  • what about her dad who abused her- maybe he was abused as a kid to...?

  • Comment removed

  • she is a pretty good singer!!!

  • @MegaMyvidz she has me in tears!

  • Beth Thomas, all grown up - watch?v=OetN83kX_Ck

  • @roell29 That's not her in that video! type into google: Beth Thomas ''More than a thread of hope'' to see what she looks like now, there's a picture of her

  • thank goodness she was able to be helped and she responded to love. It is so sad to see a child who has been so abused. Thank goodness for people who want to help and who persevere..

  • it's good to see the kid understand her problems and where they came from.

you can see that she is able to feel sad about what happened to the baby that was her...

she must feel like that was a different person. not many children can connect to who they were as a baby. it must be hard understanding that that abused baby was her.

the thing is, she was so young when she was raped daily, that she can't see it as wrong. but she is being made to understand that it was wrong, and not her fault.

  • @Rowan07001484 I doubt she remembers what happened to her as a baby, but she knows the history from her adoptive parents and understands how it led to her desire hurt people. Her parents probably pressed that point to her to try to relieve her of guilt and shame for having those human desires (for revenge). she feels sad about the people that *she* hurt, mainly her brother. Would be very unusual for any child not to deeply repress memories of severe abuse from below the age of 2.

  • @roell29

no she doesn't remember exactly, but she had dreams about it. even before she was told about the abuse.

  • It's so good to c her get emotional...

  • Aw her whole face was different, seemed more relaxed hurts to think of how much she must of gone through til now I hope her and her brother are doing okay they deserve so much to be happy

  • when she started to cry it brought a tear to my eye.

  • wow she changed so much by the end of the video.. before she was so cold about it all, even when she was talking about her dad abusing her... at the end, she was crying and everything.. it's so relieving because she's letting it all out in tears rather than murder...

  • I hope shes doing better, and is working to help children who have bee hurt and traumatized like herself...God bless you...

  • I am in the field, and read this book as a clinical teaching book. It was AMAZING. Anyone who knows anything about this topic, KNOWS that only through this reactive disorder therapy is there a chance for the patient!!! Think about the damage that neglect and child abuse does long term! We are just beginning, scientifically, to understand this!!

  • @LSaro6965 Try to tell this to the JESUS freaks that pop up at any moment. Now i know there are still ignorant people now like it was at the time of the inquisition ,unable to face simple truth but willing to burn you at the stake if your knowledge differs from their perception of truth in their mythical Illusions .

  • Wow. I do not believe anything in this video. What patent falsification. She's "cured" because she cries? She's cured because she goes to church? Bull-fucking-shit.

  • @UniversalRee no one said she was cured its just shes getting better over time if u watch the other clips but i do agree i dont think shes cured just slowly getting better

  • @UniversalRee thank god someone else thinks that they had to cut out alot of shit from this.

  • @UniversalRee

well. that woman has been working with kids with these problems longer than you have. which is the amount of zero.

a belief in a higher power helps some children. whether god is real or not doesn't matter.

for some people religion is a path they have to take. it saves people from all sorts of problems. sure it can be the cause of many problems as well. but for a kid who knows nothing but hatred, and aggression. church could be the answer.

  • @UniversalRee crying is a good sign of letting out built in emotions. it's a big step that people love to see because it means she's letting it out in tears rather than rage, thoughts of murder, or molesting her brother. And church, wether you believe in religion or not, teaches some pretty good things about life and is a positive atmosphere. that's not something you ignore when trying to help a child recover from abuse.

  • that is ammazing

  • I am so glad there is help.

  • I almost cried at the end. The parents and therapist were really amazing people.

  • While religion can be oppressive and hamper the ability for rational thought, I do believe that the church can do good for people overcoming trauma. As long as its a religion of peace and love not a hate filled variety.

  • good job parents and girl <3 i went from hysterical crying, but now im crying happy tears <3 thank you<3

  • THANK GOD!

  • ...conditioning?... really?

  • AWWW, that poor baby girl.... i'm so glad they cared enough to keep working w/ her..

  • church? really? what do you expect?

  • i really really wish every child abused will recover as beth did. i'm so happy for her.

  • wow there are some really great patient people out there god bless :)

  • Ohhhh.... Sad yet inspiring story.....

  • LMAO! Sorry, but, the sight of that violent disturbed kid singing in the freakin' Babtist church cracked me up. There can't be anything scarier than that.

  • @dynodish IK! I was just like "Holy crap, sociopath little girl singing and praying to Jesus!"

They did a great job though. How you get a girl who wants to kill people to heal and turn her life around is beyond me.

  • They "believe they're from the devil" because morons like you let them think there is such a thing as a "devil." I only hope that behavioral therapists today don't force religion down kids throats like the wacko did in this video. "Do you want to say grace?" barf

  • @bigstereo Why bash religion on this video, it obviously helped them turn her life around, it helps a lot of people turn their lives around.

  • @bigstereo I was thinking the exact same thing.

  • OMG child abuse is so disturbing, they are a miracle of God and some parents treat them as garbage, not even as animal but as disgusting excuse for a human being.that is so hard to recover from that i suppose

  • WE HAVE TO STOP CHILD ABUSE. IF YOU SUSPECT A CHILD IS BEING ABUSED CALL THE POLICE.

  • Comment removed

  • I find is so fascinating that at the start of the documentary, a heartless psychopath is displayed and by the end, seems an almost normal little girl that the audience feels bad for.

  • she is so beautiful, her eyes are amazing

  • Thank God for church, that helped a lot for Beth.

  • @iloveyou75204 Not THE CHURCH ,Her parents ,and the people that treated her. What children hear at churches sermons (sometimes) makes them feel evil if they dont have control of themselves. The last thing this girl needed to know about is THE HELL preached in the bible ,when she alreaady went thru it here on earth and no heavenly help was needed.

  • @mate6mty Well said!!

  • @Samelie81 Another dumbass on here to spout off some leftist anti christian bullshit when this documentry is not about the church or her parent's faith, but about abuse and two loving adoptive parents whosaved two kids.

YOU NEED THERAPY. Obviously the church did not hurt Beth Thomas recovery since she went on to heal and live a normal life as a healthy adult.

  • @taffina123 What the hell is wrong with you?

  • @taffina123 Yes and Iam sure the POPE really agrees with you on this issue ,While he watches the video and takes a shower in his golden bathtub ,Thanks to loving Christians like you ,that will defend the CHURCH , with their lives if needed .Free will sister ,you can beleve anything even if its not true. And yes there must be a loving God you serve because it did,nt hurt the abusive father, when he could oooh but the lord works in mystirous ways. much like the CIA, i DO TAKE AND GIVE THERAPY SIS.

  • @mate6mty Yes it did, it taught her right from wrong, etc. And the parents are church goers and took her with them. And I never even said nothing about hell, besides children don't know to much about hell at that age anyways.

I'm not going to argue with you, I can give my opinion if I want, if you don't like my comment move on to the next one.

  • @mate6mty All your hatred is valid but when you post it some people get offended. iloveyou75204 was only trying to be positive. When you lash out against "the church" and say it is doing bad it for chilldren makes many feel sad. I am glad I grew up with the church and I believe it did me alot of good, if you do not believe it please be polite about how you feel.

  • @MyBlastoiseIsBigger I dont hate people or religions I just see them for what theyare. Nothing to do with hate, Maybe frustration that gets interpreted as projections of the own religuious people feeling attacked on their core beliefs and values willing to kill or die for them. I have nothing to defend ,not even the truth cause it proves itself. I have read the bible and has wisdom and truths ,but not allon I bet 90 people commenting have not read it all An know nothing about how the brain works

  • @mate6mty STFU. you're ignorant and stupid. She received INTENSIVE therapy. CHURCH was NOT HER therapy but a family activity they all did together. Wow what a dumbass you are to watch this and see two loving Christain adoptive parents saved this little girl's life and have nothing to add but to slander their faith when it had NOTHING to do with her problem and if anything helped her bond with her family and others in that community. Beth Thomas grew up fine..btw, and is a happy healthy woman.

  • @mate6mty and what about the fact that Christianity teaches people that there is someone that loves them unconditionally? you are just picking one part of the bible

  • @CarlosHigg We can spend a lifetime talking about religion, any religion. But unless you pick and read some other books based on facts ,not myths .You will learned why we can,t talk about religion and politics and agree on any issue. We are trained and conditioned to believe anything . Im not for or against any belief ,its useless . I could not care less if people decided to worship rocks again Or join JIM JONES for drinks.I even belevein a loving GOD that did,nt strike dead the man who hurt her

  • induced trauma on the mind of a child splits their personalities. Look up the Franklin coverup here on youtube very disturbing documentary that was pulled from airing nationally by the BUSH family who bought up the rights to it before it aired. It's here on youtube check it out. This shit goes on today .. International sex slaves it's disgusting

  • wtf, youtube put a crazy ass captcha... and i was all crunk so it was hard to read.. like wtf,, are yall crunker blockin or spam blockin? haha...

  • and to smile:)

  • the people that abused her were prolly all methed out, or cracked out.. not even coked out, but maybe.. and they prolly saw her and would be like, yeah i fucked up and i kicked her and fucked her,, but fuck it, imma have a good time.. so she learned to do the same.. instead of cry and apologize and remorse, theyd ignore and enjoy.. and to ignore such a great feat requires great feats of dopamine, if you know what i mean.. so all this shit happened.. but now she knows to have feelings:), to cry

  • awww, she says, it hurts my good self:l... i mean, i should put a happy face:p, but poor little girl.. she knows know:), well then:p, and now ha.. how what she was doin was bad.. and how its so much better to be good.. even as a child of rage, she had a heart, i believe... but probably she just shut off parts of her heart, from all the hatred and abuse put upon her, and she had no voice to tell people, and the peeps be like, nah girll dont worry, its aight.. ha im crunnk.. viva beth thomas!

  • I think people like this CAN be changed... but changing them by enforcing christianity shouldn't be the way.

  • she is a completely different person by the end of this video. absolutely amazing. she shows emotion. its crazy.

  • I did a search online too and couldn't find anything on the brother. What happened to him?

  • I checked online and it seems like she really turned her life around, she's a pediatric nurse, I'm honestly so happy for her and her family. I'm just curious, after all the trauma, what happened to her brother. There is no mention of him anywhere. I'm curious to see how he turned out after all of this. I hope he's doing okay.

  • @spontaneousgemini601 I'm curious too. But frankly, it does scare me that she's a pediatric nurse.

  • @annagitana1 I know, me too..

  • @spontaneousgemini601 Last i heard he changed his name to Jeffrey Da.....something. I´m sure he´s fine

  • @spontaneousgemini601 -right. he was abused too. he was abused by his dad and his sister poor lil guy. i remember this t.v. movie back in the day..

  • @spontaneousgemini601 I've been trying to find info on her life now. Where would I go to get recent information on her?

  • The spirits of ERROR at work!!!

  • my only opinion on this series is, WHERE THE FUCK WAS THE PARENTAL SUPERVISION? if i had a child and it did ANYTHING like that there is NO FUCKING WAY i'd leave them alone.. ESPECIALLY long enough for them to do something fucked up

  • @xXconfessionist it really seems like no matter what they were doing, beth was just admanant at doing something to injure her brother or parents.

  • @hollibomb i know but, really if they watched her properly she wouldnt have gotten knifes and i doubt she wouldn've ended up with her brother in the basement..

  • Shes sooo cute, I wonder how ol she is now and how she looks

  • the people that took her are saints

  • @barakost I totally agree! I would have returned her.

  • @TheViolet76 you cant just return i wouldn't give her new parents did a great job they got help and now she's a better person she got raped when she was 1 years old that's why she did this

  • Looks like the bible stories of sodomy, murder, and incest put her on the right path.

  • @vodka4199 Why not give his number and address into the police instead of posting it online.

  • i studied a bit. i say, put the little psyco to sleep.

BTW. NOBODY REALLY KNOWS SHIT, IT´S ALL THEORIES AND THEY ALL GO IN DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS, SO DONT ACT LIKE YOU ARE A FUCKING EXPERT YOU FUCKING WHORE.

  • There is hope for everyone as long as other people are willing to help and not give up

  • Beth you are beautiful and you have heart. How are you now?

  • @Musorgsky she's not going to answer you, this isn't her video

  • broadcasting this child’s intimate problems to the nation while showing her face and giving out her name is not the best thing for her psychological development though

  • 1 bullett to the head = end of the circle of violence

  • @sooperfukker Yeah, that's not how it works. In fact, you are very wrong.

  • i love the way her dad says beard. its like 'thats a biurrrrd' 2:46

  • i am glad she is doing well now i hope she continues and lives a happy life

  • poor kid

  • @lisacmeier This was years ago. She's doing well now.

  • I feel so sorry for her and hope Shes doing Well know x

  • she is a good singer :)

  • She sure brought out the beauty in herself. This young lady could grow up to do a lot of good for many more children when she grows up. I had NO idea she had the strength to get through this when I first started watching!! She was a great person after all !! She's wonderful. I just can't say enough. She did a lot of work to get where she is at now.
