@135Weird531 if your inquiring about what apertures are the sharpest you haven't obviously shot with slightly above entry level glass. For the price its a beast about $250. what you will find the sharpness works in a f/stop increment so there isn't just 1 sharp aperture there are many. i love this lens but i do wish i spent a few hundred more and got the 50mm 1:1.4 nikkor lens . a little more flexibility with the wider aperture about $500- the FX compatible is about $750
