Hi , AnubisXII... Im a big fan of Rush, and we use to play some songs from them . Would like to know how your bass pedal can change into the sounds, cause i saw you pushing some buttons over it. How it works ? I have a bass pedal took off from a old organ too. And i builted a wood's case to it. Thanks for your videos, you play very fine.
Man. I need to make an update video thing. Since I did this video, there has been more changes with my set up than in the ten years prior.
While doing The Camera Eye, the GK pre-amp decided that spontaneous combustion couldn't be all that bad. Shortly there after, it's back-up (an ADA MP-1) decided that for some reason, every preset needed a stupid flange sound. The drummers have been fired and the synths are getting nervous. The Peavey has been replaced with a Line6 and I am out of letters.
Nice set up. I find with a drum machine, you don't get the feel and punch as you do with a real drummer. Just have a look @ some of my vids that I made with bands I've collaborated with. You will notice a huge difference.
so what are you going to do for youtube next? and one mroe question. ive always wanted a bass sythesizer pedal, but they are too expensive to buy (for a good one). so i was wondering how you got all the electronics/whatever it is to make it. i understand that you used Hammond Organ pedals, metal from a truck, desk legs, etc. but how exactly did you maike it work? id like to try it out.
Man. I have no idea what to recommend. I guess I would have to go with something cheap. Let me splane.
My music recording/editing software is Magix 2004 Deluxe. I got it at 1/2 Priced Books for $4. It works for me. A few months later, I found Magix 2.0 Video Deluxe at the same place. 7 bucks. Not too shabby.
But I can't recommend them because that's all I've tried.
But there has got to be newer stuff out there that blows this stuff away.
Dude. I gotta be straight with you, man. Moog Taurus? No way ho-zay. Did you not hear me? Those pedals came off an old organ. The unit is made out of organ guts, pieces off an old truck, and tubing from half a computer desk with 99c switches from Auto Zone. Oh. And a red indicator light from an exit sign.
And I was blessed with killer guitar deals over quite a few years of hunting.
Be patient, my friend. Good things come to people who do good things for others.
Now now, little fella. It's allright. Everything's gonna be okay...
Let me see that smile- There ya go. I see that smile. Lookey there. Yeah.
See? It's not that bad.
But you did just remind me of those innocent days of yesteryear. I still have miles of tape from those days. Tapes 1 hour long that may only have 10 seconds of stuff worth saving.
But it's not necessarily the quantity of good stuff, but the quality of the time spent doing it.
I wish I was Anubis's friend. It would be Friday, and I'd call him and he'd say whats up and Id say nothing much, wanna go to nags head and he'd say naw, i dont feel like drinkin, im gonna stay home and lay down some tracks and id say oh and he say wanna come over and id say sure and id come over and id watch him lay down tracks and give some feedback and he'd let me sing on a track and we'd laugh and it would be really cool but unfortunately im just on youtube and hes not really my friend :(
Hahahah "A mirror to make sure ur hair's good" nice man hahaha.
but yeah nice setup.. looks like you got what u need there. I lik ethat little silver recording feature you have there, wich i had that lol, i just use the recorder that cam with the computer, and I can only record for a minute at a time! haha
Had to smile at the bit about having to think hard when using the pedals during a song, I used to be amazed at how Geddy did all that stuff in 2112 days when technology wasn't anywhere near so advanced.
All your vids are entertaining, lots of great touches, love the dry humour. Can't wait to hear that ESP so don't keep us waiting too long!! Keep up the great work Dude.

So your MIDI pedal runs though your keyboard(s) and you can use any effect from your keyboard(s) and use it on the MIDI pedal?
