You're right. Avatar will be talked about forever, mostly because how revolutionary it is, just like the Wizard of Oz in 1939 and Star Wars in 1978. What elevates this movie beyond most CGI, PG-13 rated action movies is the detail James Cameron puts into every shot. He spent 11 years making this and will likely win Best Director at the Golden Globes and Oscars. It's also a more intelligent movie than most, with themes/questions about rights, natural resources, politics, and human needs.
