There is no such thing as "toning" a muscle. "Toning" a muscle is nothing more than trimming the fat HIDING the muscle. Diet is the most important factor in any training regime.

    There is no reason why a woman should workout any differently than a man. And FYI higher rep ranges are more effective for hypertrophy (muscle building).

    Actually, building more muscle, faster Does require you to use heavy weights. That means, training like a man.Thus, lower repetitions. Using heavy weights, low reps Forces your muscles to grow bigger at a faster rate in order build enough strength for the next time around. High reps = building muscle endurance. Women will get a lot more muscle if they train with heavy weights.

    You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. Not only can men and women train THE SAME WAY, women do not have enough TESTOSTERONE in their body to grow muscle the way men do. Secondly, low rep/heavy weight is for strength trainers not bodybuilders. Medium to high rep ranges are more ideal for hypertrophy (6-15 reps). Anything above that would be more endurance training.

    Just because women do not have as much testosterone as men, doesn't mean women won't get muscular given proper heavy weight training. My best friend use to compete in bodybuilding and not only can men get big, so can women. The only difference is that the rate and size gain is at a smaller scale. If you compare a woman who trained using 20+ rep program with one who used 4-6 rep program, the results would be very different. Obviously, genetically some women will look muscular, faster.

  • Resistance bands are great excersise. you can put on heavy bands to build muscle or lighter bands to tone. It can get intense. good video.

  • For this exercise, the primary muscle you are working is the chest. However, the tricep is secondary. If you do not want to build on your tricep muscle, I recommend doing this exercise with low resistance but high repetitions. Doing it this way will tone the muscles rather than make them larger. On the contrary, if your goal was to build muscle mass, you would use high resistance with low reps.

  • @AylioFitness its extremely hard for girls to get "big/bulky" its hard enough for most guys who have much more testosterone. i wouldnt worry about girls using higher resistance, its shown to be much more beneficial for bone density and general health.
