This technology could revolutionise medicine, damn, even start a new renesance in bioscience or even society, but no, because of some stupid idiots and retards, who have no idea what they're talking about, when talking about medicine, biology and, well, science as a whole, we have to look up to these stupid ethics which doesn't even has a reasonable or rational support.
After 6 months of offering stem cell therapy in combination with the venous angioplasty liberation procedure, patients of CCSVI Clinic have reported excellent health outcomes. Ms. Kasma Gianopoulos of Athens Greece, who was diagnosed with the Relapsing/Remitting form of MS in 1997 called the combination of treatments a “cure”. Log on to ccsviclinic. ca for more information.
“I feel I am completely cured” says Ms. Gianopoulos, “my symptoms have disappeared and I have a recovery of many functions, notably my balance and my muscle strength is all coming (back). Even after six months, I feel like there are good changes happening almost every day. Before, my biggest fear was that the changes wouldn’t (hold). I don’t even worry about having a relapse anymore”. Log on to ccsviclinic. ca for more information.
A group of Canadian patients just back from Noble have reported similar results. “I can actually see what I thought were long-dead muscles forming in my feet” said Larry Vermeersch of Kenora, Ontario. “My balance is back and I’m walking without a cane. I’m a pretty hard guy to convince, but getting these two procedures together has made me a believer. I’m looking forward to the physio ahead because I can feel everything coming back.” Log on to ccsviclinic. ca for more information.
A universal benefit reported by every patient has been the recovery of bladder control. Most MS patients have various bladder control symptoms that include urinary urgency, incontinence, nocturia, or urinary hesitancy as a result of the disruption of electrical impulses from the brain to the nerves and muscles that are involved in emptying the bladder (pudenal nerve, urethral sphincter, detrusor muscle). Log on to ccsviclinic. ca for more information.
Other recent MS patients who have had Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation (ASCT), or stem cell therapy have posted videos and comments on YouTube v=jFQr2eqm3Cg. Log on to ccsviclinic. ca for more information.
Dr.Avneesh Gupte, the Neurosurgeon at Noble Hospital performing the procedure has been encouraged by results in Cerebral Palsy patients as well. “We are fortunate to be able to offer the treatment because not every hospital is able to perform these types of transplants. You must have the specialized medical equipment and specially trained doctors and nurses”. Log on to ccsviclinic.ca for more information.
With regard to MS patients, “We are cautious, but nevertheless excited by what patients are telling us. Suffice to say that the few patients who have had the therapy through us are noticing recovery of neuro deficits beyond what the venous angioplasty alone should account for”. Log on to ccsviclinic. ca for more information.
Dr. Hemangi of Noble continues: “These are early days and certainly all evidence that the combination of liberation and stem cell therapies working together at this point is anecdotal. However I am not aware of other medical facilities in the world that offer the synthesis of both to MS patients on an approved basis and it is indeed a rare opportunity for MS patients to take advantage of a treatment that is quite possibly unique in the world”. Log on to ccsviclinic. ca for more information.
Autologous stem cell transplantation is a procedure by which blood-forming stem cells are removed, and later injected back into the patient. All stem cells are taken from the patient themselves and cultured for later injection. In the case of a bone marrow transplant, the HSC are typically removed from the Pelvis through a large needle that can reach into the bone. Log on to ccsviclinic. ca for more information.
The technique is referred to as a bone marrow harvest and is performed under a general anesthesia. The incidence of patients experiencing rejection is rare due to the donor and recipient being the same individual. This remains the only approved method of the SCT therapy. Log on to ccsviclinic. ca for more information.
once conception occurs, it's no longer "potential life".....it IS life.....each and every one of us started at conception.....while I'm all for research, I think we need to pause when thinking about embryonic stem cell research and truly think about what is happening....plus, there is a lot of wonderful things going on with adult stem cell research already that does not require the destruction of fertilized cells
Stem cell research is a scam by atheists to steal research funding from Catholics who won't do for liberal Atheists who will. It's produced not one single God damned thing beyond fatter liberal Atheists. NADA! NOTHING! ZILCH! EVERYBODY LOOK HOW THE ATHEIST CON ARTISTS RIPPED US OFF!
Seroiusly if you want to believe in god thats your choice, but i bet when stem cell research pays off and new treatments are available you will be at the front of the queue asking for help.
human cell that switched itself to a state of embryogenesis IS a human idividual.
Check this publication from 2009:
Nature EMBO reports:" Embryonic human persons Talking point on morality and human embryo research" Robert P George & Patrick Lee EMBO reports (2009), 10, -301 - 306, doi:10.1038/embor.2009.42
and second until the creation of a nervos sistem in an EMBRION WE CAN NOT NAME IT HUMAN because it has no brain is just like a bacteria just a cell SO PIXIEZONE DONT BE STUPID
first of all pixiezone YOU ARE AN IDIOOT whay simply learn more WE DO NOT NEED embrionic cells to produce new cells, cells with the same potential have been discovered in TETH and placenta adipose cells, bones so WE DO NOT NEED embrions
And if your parents decided not to have sex that one time you wouldn't be either. If we used "potential" as an arguement then everytime your parents could have but didnt have sex would be denying a potential life.
This is not valid argument. I can only tell you here that beginning of human organism is defined when embryogenesis is switched on. Then any other person have no right to decide
whether you should live or not, because you are independent organism from your mother from the beginning.
well your argument can be understood I cant fully agree because of the basic values people place on individual organisms. people kill insects all the time, people get sick and take antibiotics to kill the bacteria that might be causing the illness the main issue is what it's potential is I see no reason why it is that potential life that was ended could not save and help the lives of others who are suffering.
And this from 2009 should end the debate about disassembling human children for production of stem cells: this article describes methods of acquisition of stem cells from human skin -they are your body cells clones. Cell Stem Cell. 2009 Jun 5;4(6):472-6. Epub 2009 May 28.Generation of human induced pluripotent stem cells by direct delivery of reprogramming proteins.Kim D, Kim CH, Moon JI, Chung YG, Chang MY, Han BS, Ko S, Yang E, Cha KY, Lanza R, Kim KS. Harvard Medical School
So there we are not dealing with "potential" of an embryo to develop into human, because this suggest statistical interpretation, as if it could develop different species, but with 1/0 confidence that this is meant to give a new human. And indeed at that stage the one cell is really equal to all human organism, even if it seems amazing.
Science in simple words is about how things works. In this case how human body works. Results of newest research allow us to obtain stem cells from our own body, without the need for destruction of someone else's organism.
That should be extremely clear: human cell with complete genome that entered the state
of embryogenesis WILL produce entire body.
That characteristic differs that cell from all other cells of our bodies that also have complete copy of genome.
To all interested in scientific view of the matter:
DO NOT use word "science" for description of procedure that have nothing in common with it.
It is not even pseudomedicine, as medicine should not be in conflict with Hipocrates legacy. Here (disassembling human body) we are dealing with anti-medicine.
There are many other methods of tissue regeneration including damaged neural cells, but this demand research and funding instead of spending money on stupid tasks. ...And most of all it does not requires harvest of humans for production from their bodies material for replacement for the others..
The method (using embryonic stem cells) presented here resembles making food from human tissues like in "matrix"!
"The theory is that because these stem cells are fetal cells, they are designed to proliferate and give rise to new tissue , which means they have the potential to produce tumors. The case, write the authors of this weeks case study, should serve as a warning that more research is needed to gauge the safety of these novel therapies."
you are an idiot if you would have a spinal cord injury it wouldnt be so boring. Stem cells can be used also for small injuries such as sport injuries, so watch out those afffects very young people too
Potency is a very broad term used in development and cell research. It can apply to aborted fetus cells or ones taken from bone marrow and the nose among other areas of the body. What were you using "potency" for?
@Dudedanrocks It's the Pharma companies..stem cells cure practically everything. What would that mean? NO more fucking pills! They'd rather see us all die than to hurt their profits....
I saw a UK special on the woman who was paralyzed and they took her nasal stem cells and injected them into the damaged area of her spinal cord. She improved dramatically. I think embryonic cells may have greater potential but adult cells are usable and should be studied with vast amounts of government funding. Stop blowing up stuff in the Middle East and instead build some research centers and farm high schools for scientific geniuses.
wrong, only some people will reject them. but if they are treated with your cells in a beaker, your body recognizes the cells. thus, letting them into your body without rejection.
Stem cells are being harvestd from human nasal cells deep in the nose were the sell sensors are. These sensors rejuvinate throughout our life time and are as flexible as embryonic cells. The study is being done in the UK and has shown the same promise as aborted fetus cells. "you need to end a life in order to help one that is already out of the woumb" WRONG.......That is wrong.
Why use a fetus when you can use cells readily available without using Embryos or aborted fetuses. If you already have a solution why choose a harsh, more barbaric and disgusting path to achieve same results. You need to learn how to work smart, not hard. If you work smart, the hard part takes care of it's self.
But that's your opinion and you are entitled to it.However, using fetuses for research in your world would mean a multitude of murdered babies. That would make you a modern day Hitler.
Aborted fetus' are thrown in the trash anyways, why not make use of them?
And i'd have to disagree. Hitler was responsible for the death of millions of people, where as making use of a lump of cells for possible future cures is genius.
Ok, so if Hitler would have used stem cells that could have been harvested from the holocaust victims than it would have been somehow better for humanity and the gain would have out performed the loss. Great choice of argument platform genius. The whole point is not to add to abortion as an incentive or supply and demand. There are other ways of getting stem cells but scientist are too lazy to peruse the new options that are more promising and more pliable that fetus cells. Heard of Nasal cells?
I understand that as a pro-lifer, you would compare the life of a Holocaust victim to an unborn, barely formed embryo, but those simply don't balance out.
But I think you are confused, my point was not to 'harvest' embryos, which in a way would be twisted if their purpose was pre-determined to be used as a stem cell subject. It simply was to make use of what we already have. And yes I am well aware of adult nasal stem cells, although both adult and embryonic are worthy of further research.
OK.Now here is my dilemma... My father is an MD, MY sister is another MD @ UCLA, my older brother is a biologist working now on a funded project in Fiji with National Geographic. Those people of science and more say Nasal cells are more pliable for the use and development in the stem cell project. They say nasal cells are stronger and develop faster. So do you see where I'm coming from. Not necessarily a pro life stand, (tho it's a despicable act) I get my info from the scientist mouths not CNN.
Thanks for the info, and I can see that you have quite the prominent scientific background in your family. I wasn't trying to come off saying that embryonic stem cells were any better, just a viable option, although it is good to know that adult nasal stem cells are in a sense superior.
Btw, I'm not a big fan of television news, they seem to stray from actual important topics haha. Nice talking with ya'.
Adult stem cells are more stable than embryonic. Embryonic 'can become anything', and form tumors (injecting embryonic under skin and looking for tumor is 1st test for them. No tumor = no embryonic stem cells.) Must go through the 'adult stem cell' stage to make less and are rejected by subject. University researchers work with embryonic while medical doctors work with 'adult'. Using your own stem cells isn't as profitable for biotech and researchers (they are patentable).
Take a life to save or heal other life. By that one life never had a chance to even be borned. I just think thats wrong. Unless the people that owns the life agrees to it.
It's not a braincell, it's olfactory cells ... from the nose. Done by Dr. Lima. Skin SCs repaired mouse spinal cords, too. Tay-Sachs treated w/cord blood at Duke University. Other stem cells do what embryonic promise; embryonic 'breakthroughs' not unique. Most conditions listed above are recruiting: ClinicalTrials*dot*gov.
Why are you so focused on embryonic stem cells which are years away from doing anything worthwhile when adult stem cells are currently being used with amazing results in the clinic??
Did you know that embryonic stem cells cause cancers? This is called a teratoma.
Even if you could solve that, embryonic stem cells would get rejected by the body since they are not part of self!!!!
bush and others like him use a false choice, they say they wont use the frozen embryos for research and would rather throw them away. how retarded is that. they r ok with trashing them, but wont allow any research for the sake of humanity. go figure.
Embryonic stem cells. People who are against it are prioritizing potential life with already existing life, unbelievable! If there was a fire in a lab with embryos which of the two should get out of the fire first, the embryos or the lab staff?
People like Bush who are retarding progress of science should put their money where their mouth is. When the stem cell medicine is available, Bush should agree he will not benefit from stem cell research.

Take a life to save or heal other life. By that one life never had a chance to even be borned. I just think thats wrong. Unless the people that owns the life agrees to it.

i thought there was an alternate treatment with a type of braincell that detects smell. putting it in the spine will make it regenerate
