Like loads of people, they didn't start at the start of the course, the start isn't in the car park, they missed out a really good bit. You have to go round to where the finish is to start.
i rode this track last summer, but started in betws-y-coed, singletrack is absolutely awesome, rocky and rough, really gets you riding, but uphill fireroad climbs became a bit dull and monotonous as its quite a long ride. will definitely be going back though, i can remember how sweet the rocky singletrack sections at the top were, definitely worth the tough uphill climbs :-)
