I'm 59. I snuck the book out of my mom's locked cabinet to read this, back in 1960. It was deemed "too adult" for a 7 year old child. THIS book taught me about what is good and fair and how to fight the good fight. I've been reading it every year since, on my birthday. That's 52 years of keeping Boo, Jem, Scout and Atticus alive in me, guiding my Moral Compass.
This song gives me this unexplainable feeling of happiness and a fountain full of inspiration. It's incredibly beautiful, and I think it goes right along with the movie AND book.
@101commentary just fyi, a song has lyrics, hence, it is sung. A composition without lyrics is called a "piece." In the case of film score, it is called a "cue." This main title theme was cue "1m1" from To Kill a Mockingbird.
@101commentary Just a free bit of education amigo, not trying to be overkill Magee here. And for what it's worth, you don't have to be a pro musician to describe things correctly. You just have to care enough to know the difference. ;)

Could someone, please, post the first 3 or 4 minutes of this movie?
The way the images complement the music is so absolutely perfect...
And beautiful, and magic...

This actually reminds me of the theme John Williams composed for the movie "Hook." The tone and feel, at least. Hook was also about innocense lost.

One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
Where can I find the initial scene of this wonderful movie here in YT?
The genial images of the opening credits and this song are simply
perfect.
