@GenesisExpress Go to Applications in the Settings and find the launcher then go into it's settings and press reset default. There you go... when.....you press home button it will ask you which launcher to run.

@GenesisExpress and all people with problem with making custom launchers as default. go to settings > applications > look for TouchWiz(Go launcher, adw etc or whichever is the default) and look for "clear defaults" button. so when you click the home button it will ask you again with launcher to be the default. do the same if you accidentally set custom launchers as default or if you want to change your the default screen when you click the home button

I personally prefer the Circle Launcher. I like live wallpapers, so I want my screens to be empty. Got the paid version and the Metrostation widgets. You can change the colour of the widgets with the paid version. It's so cool!

In ADW if you set the side scroll speed to about 180-200 and the snap back effect to around 20 or less down from 40, it will be much smoother. Its not actually slow, it just looks like it is.

Also in regards to 4:48 of this video (Re-sizable Widgets) I think Launcher Pro Plus adds this feature or otherwise is working to implement support for re-sizable widgets soon or so I've read.

Don't worry so much about the 'speed' and 'smoothness' of these launchers. Soon Android will release it's 'Ice Cream Sandwich' update which would bring hardware acceleration support (Android already done this in Honeycomb) so that apps could use the HW for a faster and fluid experience in things like animated transitions between launcher app screens.

Remember everyone!! even though the galaxy s 2 has the same resolution as the predecessor Galaxy S, and a LARGER screen, it has infact got BETTER pixel resolution, as the Galaxy S 2 doesn't use the old pentile matrix system. Now with the super amoled plus screen, there are more sub pixels per pixel, resulting in much better clarity, and pixelation is pretty much none existent, well, comparing to the galaxy s.

@JohnnyZenith I got one on contract... it was my first contact phone.. simply because i didnt fancy paying 500 upfront for it then have to get credit etc.... and i dont think you can get the same benefits on pas as you go so contract is your best bet... but make sure you're about it 1st, because once you've signed up, they own you :)

Good video mate thanks for that. Still really on the fence about this phone and one of those reasons is touchWiz. The other main one is screen resolution, how are you finding it? Does it look sharp when browsing the web?

@runadumb Even though its has the same resolution as my old Desire, it just looks fantastic, don't be put off but resolution specs, go see the phone and you will be in awe.

@samjpullen I played with the phone last week and the screen didn't do much for me. Don't get me wrong it looked fine but didn't partially impress me either. I couldn't test out how sharp it was for text as I couldn't try the browser, I feel that is the best test.

The fact O2 is selling it for £399 has me chomping at the bit to buy one. I need to play with it in person a bit more. Oh and watch more of these great videos ;)

Its your basic homescreen but you can tweak it to your hearts content :)

Google HTC Sense and Samsung TouchWiz and you can see the differences between those.
