I had a difficult time hiding the support boards under each pillow cake. I felt that they had to be large enough to actually support the pillow, especially at the edges. How small in do you suggest to make the support boards? I wish Wilton had these available in the correct sz for these pans...cutting boards isn't fun! Also, I used pound cake, thinking it would make it stronger and less likely to fall apart than regular cake mix. Which one is recommended for stacking all three pillows?
Wow! this is amazing. I've been wanting to master this cake and definately found your tips and guidance very useful as well as user friendly. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
How do you use the heating core? Do you just place it in the middle of the tin and pour your batter in and over it or around it then take it out when it's baked? Don't you end up with a hole in your cake?
Hey bakers, save yourself some frustration with trimming the crown or with torting by placing a strip of rubberized shelf liner under your pan. No sliding!
Again, please, please do something about the sound - you're losing viewers (and potential customers) here.
At the worst it's hard to hear what is being said, at the least it's irritating. I just watch without the sound and I don't think that's the intention of an instructional movie...
Seems to be very instructional and useful but, soooo hard to hear.
