From the NY Times..."As the police are asking the trucks to move along, another branch of city government has been wooing them. Adrian Benepe, the parks commissioner, has recruited a dozen high-end food trucks to the city’s parks and is actively seeking more."
So move your trucks to a park. You won't be taking up valuable meter space, and will (more than likely) be at a better venue that attracts larger crowds.
good luck food trucks! as much as i would love to see more trucks in flatiron it shouldnt be at the sacrifice of your profits so i hope you get back into midtown in some kinda amicable way. btw i really like your save the food trucks logos, definitely t-shirt worthy :)
Oh comon, first the government passes some act that allows them to have full authority and possession over the logs kept from what we do on the internet. Now they're banning food trucks? That is like wiping away part of NYC. People enjoys the food from trucks. America already lost most of its original traditions, or possibly never had any to began with. But really.... Really? The current recession is bad enough... why deepen the cut?
Food trucks are a huge part of the NY experience. Kim has always been such a positive part of the city with her incredibly positive attitude working on the Treats Truck. She's great with kids and takes the time to talk with anyone who comes by. All of my experiences with the food trucks in the city have been great. Let them earn a living while making the city more fun and delicious.
