oh wow! what memories this vid has brought back. the royal ascot, i made a mint out of that cos i found that if i bought a milky way and stripped the sides of the cardboard inner was exactly the same width as an old penny and you could slide it in the slot and make the switch. oh those were the days, walking out of the arcade with bulging pockets of old pennies.
awsome collection and thank you for sharing it with us. Reminds me of the Long Beach Pike (California) of yesteryear...........brought back good memories :)
@iMichaelanimations Why?? The 60s were a really nice time. And arcades back then were old vintage arcades, not the tacky cheap horrible arcades you see today. Unlike now, Britain kept it's tradition.
Arcades were fun to play in and you weren't stuk with hearing loud music all the time. What's the problem you've got with the 60s?
The music is "Pinball Rejection" by McKenzie Stubbert, one of the Audio Swap tracks that YouTube provides for people to put onto their video soundtracks. It is from an album called "That is to Say".
Nice collection !. I`m getting a few together myself on a shoestring budget from auctions etc. I`d like just one of the machines I played on Brighton Pier in the 60`s . They must have been from the 40`s and earlier. Got a Bal-Ami juke too.

I don't have anything for sale at the moment - sorry. Apologies for not approving your comment earlier, but YouTube flagged it as "possible spam" for some reason!
Do you have any software versions too.I have of the bingo ones ,I have them somewhere and they worked .Wish I could afford some real machines .I know where there are some real ones tho ..
Hi, I tried a couple of software versions, they are OK, but you can't beat the real thing! There are occasionaly some real machines on eBay, now is the time to buy because they are cheaper.
Those are fantastic. when I was a kid, I used to love those penny machines like the Drunkard's Dream, where the tiny figures came to life in a model graveyard.
Love that bingo pin ball. I spent hours and much money on these. Can you tell me, what did you get for five/four/three in a line. I would love to get one of these and then get the lady who kept me going with sausage sandwiches out of retirement, ah the good old days. Thanks.
Hi, My machine has odds levels as follows, for 3, 4 and 5 in line respectively: 4,16,64 - 6,18,72 - 8,24,96 - 12,36,96 - 18,48,96 - 24,72,144 - 36,96,144 - 48,144,192. These odds jump up according to how much money you feed the machine!
Hi traxcontrols i was wondering if you could give me more info on the Rouletto machine and how it works. I see the roulette wheel spinning when you inset the coin does it stop the wheel. how do you place your bets. I would love to find out more about this machine. who made it and where I can find one for my gameroom. I am hoping you can help me out with more info on this machine and
The wheel spins constantly, and has payout amounts of 3, 6 and 9 coins. When you insert 1p, it drops behind the wheel into a winning or losing slot, and the wheel stops. There's a small light showing through the wheel at the top (the "ball"), this shows a win or loss. There is no betting on this machine, you just hit a winning number. I have some info including pics and the manual in my Yahoo group, OldBritishSlots. You can occasionally pick up a Rouletto on eBay in Video Games > Coin-Operated.
Fair play to you mate, you done a good job on the filming ... it's nice to see in action the type of machine that I spent a lot of my time as a youth on, AND most of what little money I had, cheers.

Wher can I get a 80s arcot machine
IHDesigns 1 year ago
My Ascot was made in the 60's - I don't think they were around in the 80's.
All mine were bought off eBay, but you can sometimes get real bargains at amusement machine auctions.

Sadly, YouTube removed the original soundtrack which had real sound effects, because I used a commercial song for the background music.

Would have been better with the actual sound though
