  • Remember guys, we are still comparing a quad with almost twice the engine and the smaller LTR450 still wins. Should I even mention that the SUZUKI DIDN'T DROP A VALVE during this race or most likely any other. Can't say that for the Craptor. I am only speaking from experience since my 660 dropped a valve and trashed the engine and had to sell it for parts since resale is so low on the raptors.

  • dont forget the ltr has smaller tires 19" and intake, exhaust while the raptor has 22" and only exhaust...which is dumb without a controller on there.... but yeah those 19" tires are way easier to turn then the 22" ones

  • whats does your ltr 450 top out at?

  • good ;D

  • Its not too loud and pretty fast but not very fast an its not always knocking it goes away at idle or if I gun it

  • @ltr450NoS I guess the best way to tell if it's an engine problem is to put it in neutral and push it forward at the speed you normally hear the knocking. If you hear it, look around and listen for where the sound could be coming from. If you hear nothing and the knocking only occurs when the engine is on and in gear then you might want to tear it down and take a look. You can find a service manual on the site I referred to before, and this question has been answered on the site as well.

  • You guys are funny I have had my 07 limited edition 700R Raptor up to 98 mph with some left and all I have is pipe and power commander but I don't have the balls or life insurance to go any faster and I'm 6'0 215 I would sh.. On your 450 @ the 1.1 mile mark you would be blown like this blunt of Pure Truth I'm on right now but good ass whipping though he need to sit on your lap and call you daddy lol!

  • @mrlodina What kind of speedo were you using?

  • @mrlodina im havin a hard time believeing this...... LOL

  • My friend said it was normal and that his trx 450 did that and it was only because it was way under gear but mines never done that

  • Hey man me again lol my ltr, I think messed up there's a knocking noise coming from around the sprocket or engine area but it does not knock when idle or if I gun it it pulls hard and good its only when im going slow and way under gear and thoughts?

  • @ltr450NoS Is the knocking fast, loud, and continuous? By your description it's hard to tell whether the knocking is coming from the engine or a loose part. I know when I bent my rear brake rotor, the disc would catch the whole assembly, then lift it up and drop it making a knocking noise at low speeds. Also, ltr450hq[dot]com is a great place to diagnose problems. That's the first place I typically go. Good luck dude.

  • @ltr450NoS sounds like ur having the third gear problem.

  • which one is faster stock?

  • @ADRUNK3NH0B0 Probably the Raptor both off the line and top end. However, a $40 mod can change that.

  • NICE FRIGGIN QUAD MAN

  • very nice clutching

  • Come on guys cut the bs u guys sound like ricers. Of course it's like comparing apples to oranges but if u got a pogo stick and ur friend has a trampoline of course ur going to try and see who can jump higher

  • You cant wind a raptor out like that, all the power is in the low end quick shift is the only way to go

  • Are those custom lights on ur quad? and if so where can i get them?

  • @ji30y1 Trail Tech stock location HID SCMR16. Both lights worked great for a while but the flood light burnt out quickly. Spot light still works nice. I suggest the HID SC4.

  • Were do I get that induction kit and for how much

  • @ltr450NoS I bought mine when they were $100. They go for $150 now.

    kmsperformance[dot]com

  • Ooh well I already have the cherry bomb the lid taken out with the pro design k&n filter and the baffles removed of the stock exhaust and have a 13 tooth front sproket and 38 tooth rear sprocket and was jus wondering if the pc3 would give me more power then the cherry bomb

  • u think i can run a power commander 3 with only a slip on and k&n filter

  • @ltr450NoS There's not really any requirements to run the PCIII, more a matter of if you really need it or not. I'd say with just a slip on and a new filter you shouldn't need one. If you plan on getting rid of the airbox or running a full exhaust then it might be a good idea. I would go with the PCV + autotune though. Save you a trip to the dyno.

  • @ltr450NoS I have a K&N air filter on my ltr 450 you need an induction kit for it, drill a few holes and screw it all together :)

  • The only time I seen a Raptor 700 Loose was against my Buddies 2007 Polaris Outlaw 525irs. And the Raptor was a 2008.

  • I have a 06 Raptor 700 and have never lost to a stock 450 anything beside dirtbikes. Those fuckers are quick.

  • @bgizzle1033 Yeah dude. 450 bikes are hard to beat. I have a video me dragging my brothers yz450.

  • rode is n bad shape

    lol

  • @SuperBilski Not even :P Could be like my place. one road would be better off a dirt road it's so bad :P

  • The 700 is faster on top end, the 450 is faster out of the hole..if they were both bone stock and you ran the 450 at WOT long enough the 700 would've eventually passed him. The 450 is made for the track the 700 is made for trails/dunes. Not sayin you can't switch it up but that's just what they designed to do. You can argue all day but your comparing apples and oranges. Get a life..or maybe a bike and find out for yourself.

  • @Ballersonabudget I had a trx700xx and people would say how slow it was........If they only knew it was purpose built for rough terrain/trail/desert......not mx. But I always romped on 450's in the trails :D

  • In the earth is not the same thing

  • In the eart ,is not the same thing

  • im not understanding this...the 450 just beat the raptor 700?

  • power to weight ratio has alot to do with this. and gearing. same reason a 170hp r1 is faster than a 700 hp Lambo. the ltr is light and ment to go from 1st to 5th gear in no time, while the raptor takes a while to go through the gears but has a higher top speed. and those dyno readings are wrong btw.... stock is like 45, 50hp is with pipe computer and airbox and high compression

  • @22spartanguy You probably have a bad case of bipolar that you need to get checked out. Your just an old prick that wants to be noticed.

  • @23spartanguy Then clearly you didn't read the article correctly bud. BTW a 450 vs 700 isn't a bad match up if you consider weight, compression ratios, and RPM. 450 engines produce a massive amount of hp per liter.

  • @OneManArmy4Life END RESULT TORQUE AND HP IS WHAT MEANS EVERYTHING. YOU CAN TRY TO BULLSHIT ME ABOUT RPM, COMBUSTION CHAMBER PRESURES, WEIGHT GEARING, DRIVE TRAIN LOSSES COMPRESSION RATIOS BUT, A 450 VS A 700 IS JUST STUPID. LIKE YOU

  • I CANT BELIEVE YOU SHITS ARE RACING A 700 AGAINST A 450. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH U GUYS. THATS LIKE SAYING MY V8 WILL BEAT YOUR 4 CYLINDER. FUCKING DUMB.

  • Comment removed

  • @23spartanguy And the 4 cylinder would have won jackass.

Nice vid, love the LTR, can't stand craptors.

  • There is no such thing as a 05 raptor 700!!!!

    700 was not made until 06!!! That's a 660

  • to clear things up....ltr all the way! :)

  • the thing with the LTR is the top end is just killer.... almost unreal. im mean the thumpers cant keep up with its top end.

  • nice gear! were can i get it ?

  • @Quad48Racer450 Stock is 39.80hp stock.

  • Oh btw the yfz450 was 47.48hp in the same test and comparable upgrades. The can am and Polaris were 45.77hp and 48.11hp.

  • @Quad48Racer450 Sorry to say your wrong, but you are. ATV.com dyno tested the LTR and the ktm 450, LTR was 50.30hp, and the KTM was 51.33hp. These are not bone stock numbers though, they both have comparable upgrades, nothing upgraded on the internals of the engines just exhaust and fuel upgrades because nobody rides stock quads anymore.

  • @OneManArmy4Life "These are not bone stock numbers" ^^^ ... So 38hp stock? And lots of people ride stock bikes.

  • @OneManArmy4Life IF YOU READ THE SAME ATV.COM ARTICLE I DID THEN YOU ARE WRONG AND THESE ARE BONE STOCK NUMBERS.

  • @craigismith22 Yeah 50hp is nice, but the Suzuki LTR 450 produces 50.30hp stock. Add up the weight difference and it's a close race considering the torque advantage the 700 has.

  • @OneManArmy4Life Haha nah not quite. Fully stock it might pull 38hp. KTM's 450 might be somewhere around 50hp stock.

  • @Quad48Racer450 yeah a ltr 450 puts out 40 hp stock and the yfz 450r is putting out 42 the ktm 450 puts out 45 hp

  • I have around 50hp

I wish u lived close so I could race you my 700 dose over 90mph I dont see why thats so hard to belive

  • I have around 50hp

  • my 700 beat one with cherry bomb on it and other mods I have duals fuel controller K&N air fliter no lid 15t front sprocket stock is 14T speed limiter upluged i beat him the whole way I did a 2nd gear launch he was surprised he had beat a 700 before also he thought he could get me through first few gears my 700 top speed is 95 or more my dad was behind my on his gsxr said i was doin 95mph both our great quads get ur buddy to do my mods then race

  • @craigismith22 It's not all about the mods man. When your crankin out some ponies you gotta know how where it's at and how to put it to the ground. 95+ MPH takes ALOT of horsepower for a 400+ pound machine. I'll believe it once you post some sort of video. But let me guess... With your mods you have 110 horsepower right?

  • @craigismith22 if your dads gsxr said 95 then you have to remember that all imported bikes come with a 10% speedo increase to insure its not going faster than it says which is very illegal, that said your probably doing around 85-87 which is still pretty damn fast, if im wrong i apologize, just my 2 cents

  • wow kms intake and power commander 3 no wonder he won. sweet ride though

  • @Quad48Racer450 haha, oke it is your taste :P

My brother got execly the same quad as you but with standard plastics.. and that looks better than your plastic (my opinion) but ye you have to do what you likes :D

''sorry for the bad english im dutch''

  • wtf I am about to buy a quad but I do not know which is faster now I see that an LTR is faster. LTR is a stock faster than a raptor 700 stock and what is the fastest quad that exists

  • @eCaNTG Stock no, but for $40 dollars more you can buy a cherry bomb, loose the airbox lid, and remove the baffle out of the stock exhaust and you'll beat just about every other stock quad out there. Fastest quad that exists would be some sort of turbo superbike/quad conversion. Fastest stock quad is currently the KTM450 but it comes with a hefty price. For a reasonable price the LTR is typically the best option for track/trails/road/etc (just hauls ass everywhere).

  • @eCaNTG its pretty simple either you go out and buy a quad thats a 450 the only reason that is faster then the raptor is because it only weighs like 200lbs go out and buy the raptor and you have alot more weight but alot more torque so it evens it out to make them both equally as fast that and one is clearly for racing and ones ment for trails

  • @eCaNTG banshee is

  • wth have you done to your plastics it looks like shit :P

  • @LTRespekt1 I'm not so sure they make a 2011... Maybe a 2009?

  • Hell yea show that raptor who's the boss!!!

  • Comment removed

  • raptor 660... not 700

  • @LTRespekt 2005 Raptor 700... not 660. What do you ride?

  • @Quad48Racer450 i ride a ltr 450 2011 now

  • @LTRespekt With what done to it?

  • @Quad48Racer450 i dont understand your question.. :(

  • @LTRespekt Is your LTR stock? Or have you put alot of mods into it?

  • @Quad48Racer450 engine only have cherry bomb, but i have 3.500 euros on mods..

its the best quad i have driven.. ltr 450

  • @Quad48Racer450 im gonna post a new video soon..

    bye
