Michael Rooker played all lot of films, Back to Back, Cliffhanger, Rosewood, Bastard Out of Carolina, The Bone Collector, Sea of Love, Undisputed and The 6th Day
this is my favorite movie. did they say it waqs his brothe rin the movie? ive never heard that ill look for it next time. p.s the creek scene is the best.. NOOOO!!!
Sherman W. McMaster (in real life, no "s" in the surname, although everyone actually called him McMasters in that time and place), died in Colorado in 1892, according to a McMaster family probate doc.filed in 1906. I like the scene, the only one in the film with Saguaro cactus, plus another chance for Biehn to flash his crazy Ringo eyes. Also, without the scene, it was no wonder that I twice heard other theater patrons near me say, "Who's McMasters" when a character says, "They got McMasters!"
It wouldn't have been good for this scene to be in the movie. McMaster's had been killing cowboys non-stop before this scene so it wouldn't have been realistic for him to go and meeti with the cowboys. Forgiveness would have been impossible. I have always wondered how they got him, but thuis wouldn't have been a satisfying answer to that question.
You can see why they deleted this scene, it makes no sense, and the scripting is awful. McMasters has just helped blow away Johnny Ringo's brothers, then agrees to go parley with him? The movie is better without it.
I don't think he walked into the lion's den out of his own volition. Watching it a second time, I noticed that he was being escorted by some cowboys. The dialogue seems to concur.
Out of all the deleted scenes, I think this is the only one that I would have kept in the original, not only does it explain they caught up with McMasters, but it also finally shows why Ike was a cowboy at all, he finally shot somebody...
@drksyde72 Actually, I'm glad they cut this. It makes McMasters look like a damn fool for walking into the Lion's Den. I always assumed he got caught scouting or something, which is a little more believable.
We needed this scene. Even though one might ask why do they need McMasters so bad. But the natural back drop is the best of the movie and it was chopped. This what Southern Arizona looks like.
they should have kept this scene in the movie cause now it makes more sense how they got mcmasters..and plus its another scene starring johnny ringo =)
Why the hell did they cut that! It was mint!

It's incosistent with McMasters' character. He's smarter than that. I was sad when he got killed off without valid explanation.
