  • Hamster power is the only true answer to the energy crisis...

  • Well..geez! I'm Canadian and David Suzuki is nothing but a total misleading embarassment to all who live here. A lefty wingnut if there ever was one.

He got his doctorate from studying the reproductive habits of fruit flies, and that's the truth. On climate, nuclear energy, global warming (it's a hoax by the way) he is entitled to his point of view but speaks without authority.

I wish we could either throw him in jail or revoke his citizenship and send him back to where he came from.

  • Where's that? Vancouver?

Talk about ignorant. The last paragraph totally nullified any credibility you might have been given.

  • David Suzuki has been running around Canada for years trying to get us to shut down our power plants, park our cars permanently, and freeze in dark caves but send our money to his personal foundation.

In a speech at a Montreal university, he told the students that it's their duty to imprison any politician who disagrees with anything he says. His battle is political, not scientific. He berates anyone who tries to debate his wild ideas.

Make your own decision, but many here are sick of him.

  • Ok fair enough. I don't know much about him, got here by way of another video from australia (a political one) as this was posted as a response to it. Guess it's lucky he's not in a position of power.

  • @lexany What an idiot load of shit....

  • @lexany you are clearly insane.

  • alright davey boy, what is the solution then?

  • @vinbuik - trying watching more than just a 2 minute minute video then wise ass... 2006 national press club is a good start....

  • It was just a just a small amount of seepage completely safe and that slight discharge was well within limits with the 10 miles of beach being fenced off for your safety.

  • They built some reactors and nuked some fishing places and have been following the Bush's lets do give a dam policy on the Environment and losing out on it.

  • As a physicist, my response to Mr. Suzuki is: -Incorrect -Incorrect -Incorrect -Incorrect -Incorrect -Correct -Correct, but so minor it's irrelevant -Incorrect -Incorrect -It's not a mistake
  • you may be a doctor in something but there is no need for nukes mate and we all know it, besides they got so much room for renewable energy there is no point to having nukes in there country. Also the only worldwide solution to nuke waste is to dump it in the Nevada desert in US military bunker.

  • Overpopulation leads to more usage of resources, this feeds to development, forcing to clear land and make more room for other people.

  • Too many cars are flooding the highways and emitting lots and lots of carbon dioxide.CO2 is probably the most common heat trapping gas in the world.Development is cutting down the amount of CO2 to be convertede, leaving it only to escape in not enough amounts into space.

  • .....based on the assumption the THEORY of human induced "Global warming" or "climate Change" holds....

when did this THEORY become proven and a law of science?

  • What law of science says that you can burn over 80 million barrels of Oil every day on Earth, day in, day out with no effect on our atmosphere which is proportionally thinner than the skin of an apple.

  • A law is based on certainty. GW/CC is not proven as yet. You're basing your arguement on prejudice. Im not saying that humans arent the cause, but that it isnt yet proven, which is relevant because if you were to jump to the conclusion we ARE the cause, as you can see it has a huge effect on politics - posibly an effect that isnt necessary.

  • now. even disregarding GW, we're impacting the earth in ways we can measure. the use of non renewable resources, damage to the atmosphere, quality of the air which impacts our life span. Heck, if i was dying, i'd have liked 5 more minutes to live. Whether or not its for global warming, or for david suzuki. We need to find renewable resources in the place of oil. and if we'd like ourselves, and anyone else to live a little longer, Turn your lights off, too.

  • Humans have had no impact on the earth at all. Everything we have ever done has moved like ships in the night through the environment. If you go back 500 years you will find EXACTLY the same environment as now. In fact in this perfect balance of an ecosystem the earth has provided for billions of years that has allowed life to evolve, the last couple of thousand years of human activity has IMPROVED on perfection. Look at Google Earth, you can see the amazingness of humans everywhere.

  • Hmm...well lets see,you can call me dumb and idiotic as such, but I think the cause of global warming is development, too many vehicles, and overpopulation.

  • Development has caused the trees and other plant life to be destroyed, they convert heat trapping gasses to oxygen.Development is depleating their numbers in a massive scale.

  • you are correct!

  • Fight the cause cuz..

    (hugs)

  • He's right.

    Hans:-)

  • And I disagree with David Suzuki. Not only do I disagree with him, but so too does Chick Keller of the Los Alamos national labs in New Mexico and the entire nation of France. Sorry Dave, but advanced societies need energy, and if you don't burn it from coal you have to get it from somewhere. Solar isn't going to cut it, neither will conservation.

  • you know nothing, nothing he said was untrue.

    So fuck off.

  • Good work Ash!

    5*

  • Thanks for sharing Dr Ash.

It's an important message that i hope all Australian's take seriously.

  • Well done Ash!

  • Very cool..!!

  • Great vid and great job by David as well.
