Ha! Ofcourse. It's not that I'm not afraid of being bitten, just that I have a fairly decent knowledge and respect for the animals I see/find and therefore a) I'm not jerking about and frightening them and so they inturn don't bite me and b) I understand their moods and movements and can tell, most of the time, what they are feeling and what they are likely to do. Alot of things worry me though - travelling through war torn areas etc

Ugh, I hate those things. I live in SoCal and every summer these little guys crawl out of our stone steps and from underneathe the house and just hang out all around the outside of the house. We have to go out and kill like 20 of them at a time. Is there a way to deter them from breeding around your home, I mean permanently?

Agreed. Many think it kills in one bite. It only bites you once and you have to piss it off to do so. They are docile but invading their space is annoying. It's like some guy coming into your house without permission I too would bite him... with a 12 gauge. And it only kills in one bite on infants and elderly people b/c the immune system isn't developed or is degrading, respectively. Plus it depends where bitten. I caught one and put it in a bottle and bro photoed it. Was fun then let it go :D.

Geez-finally someone who doesn't post videos of themselves making black widows and bugs fight! I actually move the black widows to a safer spot if i find them. I almost never kill them. Good clip!

Do the males just not bite, or does their venom have no effect on humans, i only found out the other day that they're harmless!

They are pretty, But even more beautiful is the Australian black widow we call the red back, they have a bright red stripe on their backs when they get cranky.
