i was reading all the comments, and guys most of you commenting like you are fucking good experts in how to make explosion or how to build chair lifters and so on. None of you i believe doesn't have any freaking clue about it, and you judge and calling those people borat. it is sad, it only shows your brain damage . Indeed it is chymbulak in Almaty, one of the peculiar and fine ski resorts in the world, beside it is not the easy one. They do explosions because of the safety reasons.

Just FYI: it happened in Chimbulak resort nearby Almaty

It's not Russia!!! It's Kazakhstan, homeland of Borat (you can blame him if you want to)

But it's not that funny. I saw exactly the same thing 4 years ago with people seating in these chairs and some people skiing on this slope. Some of them died that day. It wasn't funny at all.

Sure it does. This avalanche was a man made accident. It was a controlled avalance set off by explosion that got out of control. They didnt mean to take down that much snow and destroy their chairlift. Chernobyl was an accident that happened during a controlled simulated plant shut down that got out of control too.

the shock wave was 3 seconds late from the initial explosion which is pretty close. Also by their reactions they didn't realize just how much snow will cascade. I guess next time they'll have a farther location then previously selected. But i wonder just how much snow shifted the surface?
