I have no music education, so this may be completely off, but I didn't really like the sound they got when they went into the chorus. McKay sounded great, but he was at the very top of his range, so his voice wasn't particularly strong. I think the background vocals were arranged a little too high and close to the melody and that it took away from his lead. Just my opinion.

I liked both their songs, but the first song had a very narrow appeal even though it was very good. I woulda liked to see more involvement than just having Ross dominate the whole thing. He was great, but give me some Jake and McKay! This song was rushed in the beginning, and I think that lack of appeal in the first song and the rush here pushed them below Dartmouth.

Pentatonix has to have a bad night to get anything less than 1st. I'd be shocked if they don't win it all.
