Just how Jewish is Barbra. Does she keep kosher? Light sabbath candles? Go to shule? Observe the holidays?

Maybew not, maybe yes. I'm sure she's
busy planning her next CD, or directing
a film, etc. Yet, She has provided us with
an exquisie version of Avinu Malkeinu, sang Hatikvah to Golda Meir, and directed
that masterpiece called YENTL. I hope
someday she'll record a yiddish song, a
language she knows well.
@albertdiner She also speaks Italian. Oy, what girl.

She's a Kiddish Hashem. Besides, G-d is the true judge of one's merits. ONLY G-d. So...you can rest easy!!!

I like the first version

The first version is like a mother singing of
her daughter. That's why included the images
of Diana Streisand Kind, Barbra's mother.
It was from her mother that Barbra inherited
the beautiful voice.
That's a good interpretation
Great presentation of different lovely versions of this charming song. Hard to choose a favorite.

Happy you liked it. It will be a great day
when Barbra will sing a song in yiddish,
but i heard a rumor she recorded yiddish
songs in 1973 as a private wedding gift for
her agent Sue Mengers.
Thats such a beautiful song. Such a beautiful woman!
