    this looks like a chin wu version.

    tai chi practicioners be aware that it breakes some internal principles it is basically a shaolin set of exercises.

    but well worth doing and taught well.

  • Interesting variations in this clip. It fascinates me how a historical set of exercises has been taken and re-interpreted so many times, yet continues to be called by the same name by different groups who practice different versions. Small changes greatly alter the overall effect of each exercise.

    Really liked some of the variations displayed in this clip.

  • He's actually doing two forms combined together. Ba Duan Jin aka 8 Pieces of Brocade and IChing. Chances are he learned the IChing which has 12 postures, many of which are very similiar to Ba Duan Jin. The two got blurred and thus IChing became wrongly named 12 pieces of brocade. Both are derived from ancient Daoyin, so it is not incorrect to do it this way versus the other methods. Just some clarification is needed over the name. Tomato, t0mat0.
