  • Fear, selfishness and a lack of desire to improve ourselves are what causes humans problems. I myself have never met another person as vicious and pure evil as I have been myself at times. I've thought about killing myself, my family, and random strangers just out of pure hatred. But once I developed a conscience it became clear that love, peace and joy is a much better way to live your life.

  • I bet japan made all those robots and we got fat (Sorry japanse people XD)

  • Its the axiom that makes people fat.

If there is no axiom or BNL, this would not happen

  • @xiujk12 No, it's people that makes people fat.

If people started having some self-consciousness, this would not happen.

  • future 2100-2700

  • @valen360 in the movie the captain says "i dont want to survive i want to live" their only happy cause its all they know, they have no education, movement, they dont talk to anyone, do u really think their happy, when mary sees the world outside her chair she reliezes how self obsorbed they all became

  • oh and the regurgitated "all bad happened because of capitalism, particularly corporations" is pretty fucking annoying. Ask any ex-KGB officer about those nice "ecological disaster zones" in former USSR, the hundred something or more of them, all of which have nothing to do with business.

  • @Tripo1iSamson why is the anti-corporation narrative annoying? genuinely curious here.

  • @3ohfive Fair enough. Merry Christmas by the way. The generic "anti-corporate" message is so overused in movies that it's become a regular "this is the villain" type trope. It's unoriginal and often stems from misunderstanding. In WALL-E, there's no actual transactions made- no cash changes hands, no goods change hands. It seems like any company involved in the world of that movie is more like a totalitarian government. Also, to this day,

  • @Tripo1iSamson It's not anti-corporate. It's anti-monopoly. This isn't a movie about economics as much as about a single company that has monopolized on every possible industry, becoming a de facto totalitarian government. Corporations are (usually) not all that bad (the largest corporations tend to be the exceptions to this rule, but most companies are fair, and provide reasonable employment), but this particular company has progressed beyond that.

  • @3ohfive governments world-wide have committed more atrocities, overstepped boundaries, stolen more money, and done loads and loads of worse things than any corporation anywhere. If I told you that any money you made from selling anything must be taxed at an ever-increasing rate in order to pay for my job, what would I be? Either a mobster or a government tax collector. And not mention, Pixar made some long video about how "it gets better," some excessively positive video aimed at

  • @3ohfive telling gay people they're precious and special and all that typical unoriginal jive. So if Pixar is so open-minded and wonderfully enlightened or liberal, then maybe they could practice an open-minded idea and for once not make business, capitalism, or a corporation the villainous character to be used in their unoriginal, recycled ideas. Fair enough?

  • always so pessimistic about the future. Metropolis had it wrong in the 1920's, this has it wrong now. cute tale though.

  • Wow, and the worst part is... there are people right now, in the present who want life to be like this. Its already beginning. I for one, enjoy being able to move.

  • All hail the mighty Wal-mart!

  • how we picture Americans :P

  • I cant wait!

  • 1:56 Sounds like Obama's vision for us.....

  • if thats the future please freeze me until that time comes

  • In this case, people you stuck to thier holograms, never walked or ran, just sat on a hoverchair talking to a person ever though they maybe right next to you! This clip and the whole movie give out a message that states that when you go into a state of mass consumerism and a company owns everything, there will be problems. And technology in the movie made people glued to it. And by that made peope do nothing but sit around and get fatter and fatter every generation.

  • i hope i live for this!

    :)

  • I don't see a problem, aren't they happy? Aren't they doing what they want and what they like?... This film is basically an attack at those who are simply tired of doing what Society tells you to do...

Me, i just want to do whatever the fuck i want to do and what i like, i don't want to study to spend the rest of my life worrying about paying debts and in a 12 or more hours job until i die...

  • @Valen630 I agree with you the way you want to live life should be one's choice but i have a question u said u dont want to live paying off debts and working all the time. right now im doing this and it sucks and i hate it but how els could we live life ? like lets say you have all rule over how all society works how do u prepose life should be lived ?

  • @Valen630 Are they happy? They seem bored and unengaged to me. They might as well be in a coma.

  • this video leaves a big message ;)

  • Is everything free? Why do they have ads?

  • I wanted to show and was pleased to find this exact clip to my sixth grade Language Arts class for an illustration of dystopian futures and how writers/filmmakers comment on our own society through the dystopian lens. Thanks for pulling this. The kids not only enjoyed the scene, but it really helped them understand the convention.

  • This is proof what economics does to health. Thank you food pyramid.

  • woah.. this was the most strong critic to the human race... make me think, and the best part is minute 3:38... the girl disconected by wall-e... and she feels like she born again, watching a "new world" who ironically, was in front of her all da time... BEST CRITIC TO US

  • Comment removed

  • Thank god I'll be long dead before this happens

    ;)

  • how do they fuck ?

  • @CrSonja

The robots do it for them haha.

  • @CrSonja i come to the conclusion of TEST TUBE BABIES

  • You know what's sad. I look around and this is pretty much current. Sure we take breaks from screens a little bit, and there are still SOME active people. But think about it, kids are more apt to play on X Box live or something with other kids than in person. Kids used to be out in neighborhoods riding bikes, but now it's facebook, youtube, and skype, seeing faces on screens. People can't spell anymore! And finally, OBESITY!

  • Crappy future :|

  • Future facebook lol

  • this is already sort of how things are. people lazy, on their ipads, macs, watching tv, on their phones, losing real connection.....eating garbage....gaining weight. :( i wish i lived before all of it.

  • @k92aida well, there r a lot of places that arent like tht. U just gotta get out of the place tht ur in right now X]

  • @BeatDaJam u mean america hahah

  • @k92aida HAHAHA well ummmm......yess and no. Some places in the US dont have that many fat people. But.....the US...yea haha XD

  • I love genetics! they extract semen from the male's tiny penis and put in the little hole in the woman. LOL WALLE

  • what do you mean future?

  • @rubixcubeguy3 Oh yeah also if there so overweight how do they have babi... you know thats better left unexplored

  • 3:10 the board show people with figures. I see no one who can relate in the video.

  • Funny how they all seme to have American accents...

  • Try blue, it's the new red.

  • One thing I do like about this movie is how the humans aren't jerks. Stupid, maybe, but still fundamentally nice people, kind of a contrast to how a lot of stories like this get played out.

  • 8 people didn't noticed that they had a pool.

  • Well half of the reason they're fat is because of technology leading to complacency and thus a decreasing need for physical activity and the other half is GENERATIONS of microgravity causing a loss of bone density which the complacency was a contributing factor to their more pudgy-ish-like appearances..

I mean they went through like, four or six generations or so of bone loss due to microgravity and an ever-increasing reliance on technology to make up for their failing bone structure. just sayin

  • 0:16 - 0:17 awwww <3

  • Everyone who is watching this video and writing/reading comments is doing this exact same thing right now . . . .look at yourself

  • unfortunately some people abuse of technology... but when you moderate and alternate with other activities you shouldn't end up like them... fat people..

  • sadly so true so true

  • FUCK INSTINCTS AND PRIMITIVE NEEDS

TECHNOLOGY WILL CARRY HUMANITY TO GLORY AND EVER LASTING GALACTIC SUPERIORITY

  • Life would be so boring if things end up like that. Technology is good when it helps to cover some needs, but it scares me that people are starting to become so dependent on technology.

  • poor baby he looks sooo scared!!!

  • 1:41 - "Economy, now leaving"

  • Toyota iReal

  • How could they reproduce?

  • @twweety9 Artificial insemination most likely.

  • @phantomisle ah didn't think of it that way

  • the ship is maintained by bio-pathogen micro bacteria to produce nice and clean oxygen. Ps. How do the hologram screens bend in the hoverchairs when light can't be bended without using a prism?

  • brb to do 10 pushups

  • The epilogue scenes in the acknowledgement screen are also interesting. How the humans in that movie started all over again. Very nice movie.

  • triste e veritiero. a breve.

  • me encanto esta parte de la pelicula muy horiginal

  • lol 2:02

  • Guys! Whats wrong with it? Its just like absolutely perfect future for the mankind!!! I would do anything to make it happen soon. This is a perfect community. The only possible utopia. We should work around it to make it happen!!! And that fat girls - just so gorgeous!!!!

  • @qmna I hope your being sarcastic, or else your sick!

  • @qmna you kidding right i mean bad joke dont like this kind of future not beautiful nature (seas ,beach, forest,no animals,no blue sky)this are things i would miss like hell or rain i love rain the air is after the rain so clear

  • Hamburger in a cup........o_e

  • This might be the future of Usa but not the other countries.

  • LUNHC IN A CUP???,OH GOD ! they r so lazy they can't even chew??!!

  • the fat people....the robots for teachers....the lack of real consciousness....all of this is true already....feliz 1984

  • It's sad that it will probably happen someday too

  • I am using this in my essay about social networking sites. Thanks for putting this up!

  • Ladies and gentleman: The New World Order.

  • Johnpasma makes an excellent point in the description: this is not just America's future... but the imagined future of ALL mankind. This should make EVERYONE feeling concerned (myself included).

  • Mo at the beginning!

  • Wall-E...the sad future of human kind

  • @walking9away

how is it sad, in the future we get to sit down on floating lounge chairs, play on the internet all day, not having to do anything, have food delivered to you for free, no job, no worries. I say this future is paradise.

  • Mexicans are fat too

  • Image-ion how all the fat parents felt when they took their kids to see this. lol

  • @nikreaper America IS the greatest country on Earth! Unless you live in say, mississippi or alabama, then extremely obese Americans is a STEREO-TYPE!!! Only a few southern states are morbidly obese (ew). By the way, WE developed the U.S. into the country that it is, and there's a freakin' reason we declared independence from you.

  • @101stupidvideos YOU??????? I ain't a fuckin' english! i came from ITALY the birthplace of CRISTOFORO COLOMBO the men who discovered your nation! the lifestyle of your country is so different by the our and for us is difficult to understand it!

  • This is the future of America?! Think again! We are already AT this point.....I work in a grocery store and there are TONS of people that come in who have to use the electric carts simply b/c they are too fat/overweight/out of shape to walk around the store themselves....sad, very sad. Yet I see people (especially overweight women) buying pizza rolls, sodas, cakes, cookies, etc. that are simply adding to the problem. Glad Pixar had to balls to let America know the direction it is heading!!!

  • I have to say though, this is much better than the future that planet of the apes suggested

  • The only bad part of this future: American are getting even more fats.

  • This is America in 5 years

  • NoOneCares93 = The Fat People

  • Comment removed

  • Dont think of Wall E's message as"The future"- put it in context of Society TODAY. The Robots in charge are "TPTB" and we are the fat useless Herd of Pigs as depicted by the Obese Society, complacent and comfortably numb in their lives, they let "Them" take over as it was EASY to let them do so.

The Seedling encapsulated 2 things "Forgotten Life and Hope for the Future, And the Living Earth, which Is Integral for us to Live as one with", not like the pork living "apart from Earth" in cold space

  • americans are able only to drink beer and eat hamburgers! poors fats bastards! I LOVE EUROPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @nikreaper to hell with you, shit stain! AMERICA is the greatest country ever! The only thing you have that we dont is James Bond, but who cares we have OBAMA , ROBOCOP, STEWIE, and hell we even got ELMO. If it wasn't for us there wouldnt be lightbulbs and there wouldnt have been the coton gin. Not to meation SUPERMAN and every other good superhero. To hell with you! USA! USA! USA! USA!

  • @respecttheBOOMSTICK oh yeah! if europeans, god bless us,hadn't discovered america you would have had only a rock and a bow! so shut up! "HAUGH, SITTING BULL"... hahah. shut up!

  • @respecttheBOOMSTICK in europe also we have the best girls of the world! and we don't start a war for fuel or for the"exportation" the democracy! hahahahahahahahahah! like i said. "poors fats bastards"!

  • @nikreaper fuck you, tool! america kicked your ass up and down the 1700's! your just a jealous ass hole looking for a fight your bound to lose!

  • @respecttheBOOMSTICK i ain't english! i came from ITALY the birthplace of CRISTOFORO COLOMBO! the men who discovered your NATION! SHUT UP!

  • @nikreaper 1. colombo did not discover america 2. he navigated to the middle americas (caribbean) via the use of maps 3. colombo was a savage who was responsible for the massacre of hundreds of thousands of peace-loving humans 4. not much of a accomplishment to be worthy of

  • @satisflymysoul no no no! Colombo DISCOVERED the america! have you ever read an history book?????

he used a map drawn by PAOLO TOSCANELLI (another italian) to reach the India ("buscar el levante por el ponente" in english: "reach the east from the west") instead he discovered your "beloved" continent! anyway the main thing is that Europeans (in peculiar the Italians) have brought there the civilization of our culture!

  • @nikreaper you have got to be playing devil's advocate, joking or very, very ignorant. my suggestion...stop reading history books written by numb-skulls. how do italians or europeans bring civilization when civilization already existed? what you call civilization is actually barbarism, and what you call culture is actually devolution.

  • @satisflymysoul like you know. the "Americans" don't exist.... ur only the english, french and italian (in minority part) settlers! your culture is formed by the union of the european culture and the culture of the "americans natives"... i'm sorry but the reality is that america is a mix of cultures but you don't own a real "american culture" (only the culture of cowboy and fuckin' general Custer)...WE have the Roman culture, the Celtic culture and Gallic culture... think about that...

  • @nikreaper what you call Roman culture is an abomination of African culture...again nothing to be proud of if you ask anybody with common sense. the Romans attempted to mimic African culture which resulted in the homosexual society that is prevalent today. it sounds like you don't know anything about America, it's people, languages, etc outside of your own ethnocentrism.

  • @satisflymysoul so, you are trying to tell me that the roman culture came from african culture? are you crazy??? have you ever seen the movie "the gladiator" or "Centurion"? (i must state that i love the american "films-culture") Romans "take" their culture from Greece! you re right... i don't know a lot about your story but i know that a big part of your culture came from europa! this is a reality... what time is it in your country?

  • @nikreaper even if you want to go by what the movie's portray, the roman culture was borrowed from africa. the greek culture was borrowed from africa. the spanish culture was borrowed from africa. the portuguese culture was borrowed from africa. the list just goes on, on, and on. again you're wrong....a big part of my country's oppression comes from europe, but not our culture.

  • @satisflymysoul ur talkin' bullshit!!! again, again, and so on! Africa was the "point zero" of the human kind.. but the origins of the europeans cultures, languages and populations are indo-european! not African! what do you study in america about european history????? i suppose that you don't study anything about us... anyway our and your culture is indo-european (about the russian or the balcanic area) and ur right when you said that a big part of your country's oppression came from europe!

  • @nikreaper i can tell this is making you very upset. take a chill pill and stop reading history books written by nazi's

  • @satisflymysoul but in amercian everybody are afraid by these phantom nazis????? where are them??? i haven't seen them from most the ww-II... you are paranoid! anyway now, alas, we are talkin' about a new theme... so i tell you: CIAO IDIOTA! xD (in italian means: bye bye man!) i rest my case.. good afternoon...

  • @nikreaper You guys are both wrong: Europeans did bring oppression in America, and Greek people didn't borrow their culture from the Africans. It's not about the history of the USA, but about it's behaviour now. 25% of American people are too fat and it's still growing. This could be the future of the USA in ages.

  • @Klipnap the main thing was that the lifestyle of americans is too "BIG", for example: they have big cars, big sandwiches, big bottles of coca-cola/soda and so on, big cities, big macdonald's, big burger king, big donuts, big houses.... everything in America is "obese"... they have enough of all but they aren't happy yet!!!!!!!!!! do you agree?

  • Dude thats just wrong! I run 15 km without fail every other day! there is know way everyone would be fat!

  • 2:46 scares hell out of me, every time

  • omg 72 degrees = heaven

  • Not everyone in the world could get this fat, some people are just too vain and image concious. Not to mention people who actualy care about their health.

  • Technology wont destroy us all... Every single person in the future wont have the personality of a fat slob, people are different u get sporty types and fat ass types.

  • @nineheads1 maybe it's thinking like that which lead to that future

  • ohno :( in the future, fashion is also.... :(:(

  • BNL replaced the Mexicans with robots!

  • "I DID'T KNOW WE HAD A POOL!!" RAWFUL!

  • W is for Walmart, your very best friend.

  • SHAKE! *CLAP CLAP*

  • lol below

  • In the future everyone is american. Also, HELLmart takes over.

  • @xlvba Oh no... Mankind is doomed!

  • what a massive spaceship

  • only bnl was the company left, no more other companies.

  • Boulevard obscurity muscles, canniblize orthodoxal proceedure, movements doing it, does it moving, proceeding orthodox cannibals, muscling obscured boulevards !

  • Comment removed

  • This is america in 5 years

  • BNL = COSTCO. Costco has the same colors as BNL

  • Youre so true. Our technological improvements will lead to our own destruction of ourselves.

  • @twilightrose13 Our technological improvements have given up quality of life, it's up to the individual how it's used. Take us back before this time and it was a VERY hard life for a majority of the world, we are just so used to having technology that we don't appreciate what it has given us, and i don't mean things like the TV.

  • I think BnL represents the corporations controlling the society

  • loveeee this film. Truly epic and I also like how the people who fall out of their chairs eventually break out of there trance.

Kinda like me when i play wow <3

  • Buy n large. everything you need to be be unhappy. your day is not very important to us.

  • ok ok. din't you notice the 2 axioms taking off in the first part in the movie? in the bnl ad? that means AMERICA is not alone.

  • God I love Moe

  • FOREIGN CONTAMINANT!!! lol

  • Huffington Post has a story today about the fattest countries in the world. Guess who's #2? We are (shockingly we're not #1!) 68% of us are overweight or obese. Congratulation y'all! Shockingly, Mexico is #1 at 69%! Wall-e is a crystal ball showing us our pathetic future, when we'll be too fat to move our heads on our own, floating and shitting in the same chair, living in a corporate-owned spaceship (no doubt run by the Teabaggers), eating & consuming, eating & consuming, eating & consuming...

  • lets not also forget about pollution cause also in the movie since in the movie the earth get to dirty to live in

  • I'll stick with Costco and Walmart and Fred Meyer and other companies like that. Sorry BNL. Not buying...

  • This part of the movie is what made me hate it when I walked out of the theater. They didn't have to emphasize a point by making it so black and white. I was willing my suspension of disbelief whenever the humans came on.

This is mankind when everything is provided for and stripped away from ambitions. This is mankind when totally disconnected from Earth. It's not a utopian OR a dystopian society under totalitarian rule, just mankind on permanent vacation in space.

  • Geez it's ALREADY like that today.

  • Also I would love to be in a mall like this except the whole brainwashing part

  • how the frig do they reproduce?

  • Comment removed

  • 4 people were offended cause that's them right now. ;c

  • Poor robots... they are slaves for the humans.

  • well technology has evolved, but humans have well stayed the same fat consumerist pigs who have no idea about the world around them! typical and by the looks of things we could end up this way if the mega companies continue to overtake our lives! Also I find it funny that they are are so many references to apple in this movie, Wall-e's star up noise the ichating plus how everything is extremely shinny and white!

  • I want this future. Except the part where peole become brainwashed and and lazy and useless and fat.

    I only want the technology

  • @36933A1E If we get technology, then people will depend on it too much, eventually, we'll be extremely fat and obese. :P

  • @iMeloxx no, blaming the technology for the people becoming fat and immobile is just a cop-out. It's the fault of the people in this movie for relying on the technology to do EVERYTHING for them, when they could've done much of it for themselves.

Look at the end of the movie. The robots were still around, but the humans chose not to rely on them nearly as much --making them more partners than the servants they were before. Thus they got their health back.

  • @Dirtfire exactly right!

  • @Dirtfire Yea, but we tend to rely on technology, so we make more of it. The movie is everything's that's suppose to happen, technology helping humankind, not being slaves for it, but life isn't a movie, and the worlds gonna turn so ugh. D<

    Sorry for rant, lol.

  • @iMeloxx oh, I don't know about that. It's very hard to predict where humans will be in, say, 100 years. Past predictions bear that out.

How we interact with technology is ultimately up to us, I think.

  • @Dirtfire Right on. ;D

  • @iMeloxx Basically, this aspect of the movie is not a prediction per-se, but a warning.

  • @iMeloxx Well, not if we excercise regulary. I would, but I don't think most of America would too. IF (if only) they all excercised, then you have no exscuse to call it "sad future of humankind."

  • This movie wasn't about the world, it was just about America, apparently the rest of the world was eaten by Americans or something..........

  • @ruekurei88 nope the rest of the world didnt trash their home

  • @ruekurei88 dont just blame it on America, you can count most of the Western World in too.

  • the closer future come, the more lazy pepole become

  • @ForeverNightmare10 Unless you kil them all WHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • BnL=Walmart

  • @evil300 or Costco XD

  • @evil300 not target right? i like target D:

  • if=this=is=the=future= Americas=ahead=of=its=time

  • and i thought i was fat x.x

  • in this future, EVERYBODY has boobies!!!
