For a while I had resolved to never vote for an R or D, but I think it's much smarter to ignore those letters and vote for individuals regardless of their party. Who gives two shits about a stupid label, it's policies and ideas that count.
Fact is most people aren't comfortable voting outside the R or the D. Peter made another good point that is the vote fork. All those frustrated with Dodd's performance would vent their votes between Peter and the Republican. What he is effectively planning to do is fighting the Republicans first, the Democrats second.

Those too guys would love to see Rand and Peter run as independents and both lose BIG TIME. Our fight for our liberties would still be as difficult as they are now.
Let Rand and Peter both, Hopefully, Win their offices and make HUGE impacts in Washington. After wards, they will build enough strength to back a New independent party that represents their beliefs. In my opinion, It's the only way a third party libertarian can stand a chance against the current parties.

I have contributed and will contribute to both campaigns, as well as Adam Kokesh, RJ Harris, Debra Medina (TX gov.), and probably a few others.
