Grover should have been able to see the brick wall by the time he reached the 30th step since he wondered what was at the top. (I guess maybe he was focusing on counting than seeing what was at the top).
This one may BE a classic, but if the character existed then, I say THE COUNT's agent should have SUED the living daylights out of those producers on THIS 1!!! Talk about B-ing ROBBED of the role 4 which an actor is PERFECTLY suited!!! OH my word! Better watch out, Mr. Cookie et al; B-hind that friendly, polished exterior lies a whole different mindset & philosophy of life. (I heard that Grover flunked the initial screen test on THIS particular play, BTW. May-B not 4 others, but THIS 1, YES)
The intro and outro with Alistair and Grover are not the originals, they are the re-recorded versions (because of the new opening title). The original does not have the theme playing over it at the end, and ends with Alistair saying 'we still on camera' and not with Grover's compliment on the rug. The actual sketch is however recycled from the original.
They (and other 80s-era Monsterpiece skits) were re-recorded due to the original having Alistair with his pipe (so as not to reinforce smoking as a positive attribute)

That is true. At least with "Gone With the Wind," they reused the old Alistair Cookie audio for the new opening/closing footage.

@ceredigio But with the sounds of Grover pounding on the steps in his fit muted.
