If this is an E-Revo with the 2 speed upgrade then it's not even recommended that gears be changed on the fly, the transmission is different from the nitro auto 2 speed. Now if it were a brushless conversion, then thats different.

This is actually no e-Revo. He was times a Revo3.3. The entire cost me 900CHF (800USD). It is with brushless motor, controller, lipo, and the brackets.

Then again kahmen approximately 500-600USD for the drive of steel, stronger differential
